  • This paper shows a novel interference cancellation method of relay utilizing to the CGM algorithm in wireless communication environments. It is a problem that relay have interference cause by feedback signal of it. CGM algorithm obtained weight value that can remove the interference due to feedback signal of relay. In this paper, we confirm that performance of CGM algorithm is far superior with suitable cancellation value to remove the feedback signal. Also, we implement CGM module to verify the real-time processing of CGM algorithm using to DSP. Based on the analysis from computer simulation, it is observed that proposed algorithm is suitable for the relay in time-varying environment.

  • The continuous Gabor wavelet transform (GWT) has been utilized as a useful time-frequency analysis tool to identify the rapidly-varying characteristics of some wave signals. In the application of GWT, it is important to select the Gabor wavelet with the optimal shape factor by which the time-frequency distribution of a signal can be accurately estimated. To find the signal-dependent optimal Gator wavelet shape factor, the notion of the Shannon entropy which measures the extent of signal energy concentration in the time-frequency plane is employed. • The problem of sub-Nyquist nonuniform sampling for the perfect reconstruction of signals with time-varying spectral contents is studied. The signals are assumed to have a known instantaneous bandwidth in time-frequency domain. As the function of time, the nonuniform sampling pattern of a given signal, that is, the instantaneous sampling frequency is determined by the observation of instantaneous bandwidth based on time-frequency analysis. The proposed sampling pattern guarantees the perfect reconstruction of nonuniform sampled signals under Nyquist-sampling rate in average.

  • In this paper, the system for detection of photoacoustic signal has been constructed by using CW $CO_{2}$ laser for an analysis of the photoacoustic signal In metals and aluminum carbon steel, brass have been used as sample. The photoacoustic signals of several nano amperes have been detected in each sample with varying modulation frequency of laser, time constant of lock-in amplifier, thickness of sample. The characteristics of photoacoustic signal has been analysed in term of phase angle by using signal processing technique. Results indicate that the photoacoustic signal can be stabilized by adjustment of time constant of lock-in amplifier, that the signal amplitude is proportional to the ratio of thermal expansion coefficient to thermal capacity of metal, and that the signal amplitude decreases exponentially with sample thickness as well as with modulation frequency.

  • We propose a new technique to the design and real-time implementation of an adaptive controller for robotic manipulator based on digital signal processors in this paper. The Texas Instruments DSPs(TMS320C80) chips are used in implementing real-time adaptive control algorithms to provide enhanced motion control performance for dual-arm robotic manipulators. In the proposed scheme, adaptation laws are derived from model reference adaptive control principle based on the improved direct Lyapunov method. The proposed adaptive controller consists of an adaptive feed-forward and feedback controller and time-varying auxiliary controller elements. The proposed control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require any accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the proposed adaptive controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a dual arm robot consisting of two 4-d.o.f. robots at the joint space and cartesian space.

  • This paper represents generation of time-varying underwater acoustic channels by performing scattering simulation with time-varying ocean surface and Kirchhoff approximation. In order to estimate the time-varying ocean surface, 1D Pierson-Moskowitz ocean power spectrum and Gaussian correlation function were used. The computed scattering coefficients are applied to the amplitudes of each impulse of BELLHOP simulation result. The scattering coefficients are then compared with measured doppler spectral density of signal components which were scattered from ocean surface and the correlation time used in the Gaussian correlation function was estimated by the comparison. Finally, bit-error-rate and channel correlation simulations were performed with the generated time-varying channel based on passive time-reversal communication scenario.

  • Ryu et al. recently proposed a multiple target angle-tracking algorithm without a data association problem. This algorithm, however, shows the degraded performance on evasive maneuvering targets, because the estimated signal subspace is d,:graded in the algorithm. In this Paper, we proposed a new algorithm, in which VFF-PASTd (Variable Forgetting Factor PASTd) algorithm is applied to Ryu's algorithm to effectively handle the evasive target tracking with better time-varying signal subspace.

  • A recursive estimation for the enhancement of white noise contaminated speech is proposed. This method is based on the Kalman filter with time-varying parametric model for the clean speech signal. Then, hidden filter model are used to model the clean speech signal. An approximation improvement of 4-5 dB in SNR is achieved at 5 and 10 dB input SNR, respectively.

  • A normalization approach to coefficient adaptation in the escalator(ESC) filter structure that conventionally employs least mean square(LMS) algorithm is introduced. Using Taylor's expansion of the local error signal, a normalized form of the ESC-LMS algorithm is derived. Compared with the computational complexity of the conventional ESC-LMS algorithm employs input power estimation for time-varying convergence coefficient using a single-pole low-pass filter, the computational complexity of the proposed method can be reduced by 50% without performance degradation.

  • The phenomenon of color sensory has been mainly studied on the relation with the stimulus source of light source color according to dispersed energy of light. However, it has not been definitely found that the phenomenon of color sensory be collcerned with evoked potentials stimulated by object color. This paper proposes the method that evoked potentials stimulated by object colors are analyzed and examined on the phenomemon of color sensory. The model of evoked potentials is assumed that it is consisted of an additive noise and a transient signal caused by stimulus. The method which is used to estimate the signal is time-varying filtering.
