  • Rotating machines are using gears to change the rotary motion into the linear motion, on the other hand, linear motors have a accurate position control and excellent dynamic characteristics because of generating a thrust force directly. But the important problem, one of the linear motor is a high thrust force ripple. Thrust force ripple has a bad effect on the position accuracy and the dynamic characteristics, so it is necessary to reduce the thrust force ripple. Cogging is one of the cause that affect thrust force ripple. Cogging has some connection with the GCD between pole pitch and teeth pitch It is proposed method to reduce a thrust ripple of the linear motor that chamfering, skew, and so on. In this paper, the module phase set shift(MPSS) is used to reduce a thrust force ripple that has a similar effect to skew. And propose a method that reduce a thrust force ripple more by use of chamfering.

  • 추련편향 개념은 최신의 초음속 전투기에 적용되어 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 추력편향노즐의 성능특성을 쉴리렌기법을 이용한 충격파 가시화를 통하여 제시한다. 피치 각 변화와 피치플랩길이 변화라는 추력편향노즐의 기하학적인 특성에 따른 실험평가를 수행하고, 이러한 연구를 통하여 추력편향노즐의 초음속 유동특성을 분석하였다. 추력편향노즐의 총 추력은 편향각도가 증가함에 따라 감소되며, 추력손실이 가장 적으면서 적절한 편향 효과를 가지는 최적의 플랩 길이비가 존재한다.

캐비티 베인이 있는 고속 원심펌프의 축추력 제어 (Axial Thrust Control of High-speed Centrifugal Pump with Cavity Vanes)

  • A high-speed centrifugal pump requires more attention to the control of its axial thrust due to the high discharge pressure than a conventional industrial pump. Vanes employed toward the rear cavity of the impeller can be an effective device to control the axial thrust of the pump. The vanes disturb circumferential flow of the cavity and it can modify the axial force acting on the impeller. In this paper, three types of vanes are installed in the high-speed centrifugal pump for liquid rocket engines and the thrust of the pump is measured with an additional thrust measurement unit. According to the results, shapes of cavity vanes have effects on the axial thrust of the pump. As the height of vanes increases, the outlet pressure of the rear floating ring seal decreases which results in a decrease of the thrust. On the other hand, head of the pump is almost same regardless of cavity vanes. Also, the pressure drop of the bypass pipeline increases when vanes are removed.

  • Surface pressure integration and momentum method were respectively performed to evaluate the impeller thrust and the system thrust of a contra-rotating axial flow water jet propulsion, and an interesting phenomenon so-called thrust paradox was revealed. To explain the paradox, the impeller thrust and the system thrust were physically and theoretically analyzed, the results show that the impeller thrust is head involved and is determined by the hydraulic parameters upstream and downstream the impeller, while the momentum method depicted by a classic equation is valid simply under the best efficiency point. Consequently, the role of a water jet propulsion nozzle was deduced that the nozzle is mainly to limit the flow rate that crosses the impeller and to assure the system working under the best efficiency condition apart from its ability to produce momentum difference. Related mathematical formula expressed the nozzle diameter is the dominant variable used to calculate the working condition of the water jet propulsion. Therefore the nozzle diameter can be steadily estimated by the former expression. The system thrust scaling characteristics under various speeds were displayed lastly.

  • 추력시험대는 로드셀을 이용하여 추진시스템의 추력을 계측하는 장치로 추진시스템 특성에 따라 다양한 방식이 적용된다. 본 논문에서는 연소관 변형에 의한 로드셀 중심과 추력 벡터의 어긋남이 추력시험대에 적용된 체결방식에 따라 추력오차에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 이론적으로 분석하였으며 수치해석 결과와 서로 일치함을 확인하였다. 그리고 플렉셔 성능을 결정하는 매개변수를 정의하고 이에 따른 플렉셔 성능을 분석함으로써 계측 신뢰도 뿐 만 아니라 시험 안전성이 우수한 추력시험대 운영개념을 제시하였다.

  • 추진기관의 개발 단계에 있어서 정확한 추력 성능 평가는 매우 중요한 부분을 차지한다. 특히 저추력 액체로켓엔진의 경우 측정오차 및 추진제 공급시스템으로 인한 추력 손실이 측정된 추력에 미치는 영향은 상당하다. 본 연구에서는 이들의 영향을 최소화하는 기존의 추력 측정 장치를 보완한 정 추력 측정 범위 150 ~ 1500 N, 추력 측정오차 10 N 이하의 추력 측정 장치를 개발하여 작은 추력을 발생하는 액체로켓엔진의 정확한 추력 측정을 가능하도록 하였다. 또한, 추력단계별시험을 바탕으로 신뢰도 평가 기법을 확립하여 본 연구에서 개발한 추력 측정 장치의 추력 측정 정확도 및 신뢰성을 향상시켰다.

  • 풍력터빈이 MW급으로 대형화되면서 블레이드의 길이가 40미터 이상으로 길어지게 되어, 로터 블레이드가 회전할 때 블레이드에 발생하는 비대칭하중이 증가하게 되었다. 윈드쉬어, 타워 섀도우, 난류풍속 같은 요소들은 블레이드에 이런 비대칭하중 발생에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문은 원드쉬어로 인해 블레이드에 발생하는 추력변동에 의한 동하중을 추력계수를 이용하여 모델링하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 "윈드쉬어 추력변동 계수"를 정의 및 도입하고, 2MW 육상용 풍력터빈을 대상으로 정격이하의 풍속에서 윈드쉬어 추력변동 계수값을 구하여 분석한다. 구해진 "윈드쉬어 추력변동 계수"와 추력계수를 이용하여 Matlab/Simulink에서 윈드쉬어 동하중 모델을 구현하고, 윈드쉬어에 의해 세 블레이드에 작용하는 추력변동을 추력계수와 "윈드쉬어 추력변동 계수"를 동시에 이용하여 표현할 수 있음을 보인다.

운전 상태에서의 터보차저 축 추력 예측 (Prediction of Axial Thrust Load under Turbocharger Operating Conditions)

  • This paper deals with an analytical and experimental investigation to predict the axial thrust load that results from turbocharger operating conditions. The Axial forces acting on the turbocharger thrust bearing are caused by the unbalance between turbine wheel gas forces and compressor wheel air forces. It has a great influence on the friction losses, which reduces the efficiency and performance of high-speed turbocharger. This paper presents the calculation procedure for the axial thrust forces under operating conditions in a turbocharger. The first step is to determine the relationship between thrust forces and strains by experimental and numerical methods. The analysis results were verified by measuring the strains on a thrust bearing with the specially designed test device. And then, the operating strains and temperatures were measured to inversely calculate the thrust strains which were compensated the thermal effects. Therefore it's possible to calculate the magnitudes of the thrust forces under operating turbocharger by comparing the regenerated strains with the rig test results. It will possible to optimize the design of a thrust bearing for reducing the mechanical friction losses using the results.

LPM의 정추력 정량화 및 측정 분석 (Formulation, Measurement and Analysis for the Static Thrust of LPM)

  • Usually, the thrust of a Linear Pulse Motor(LPM) is calculated by magnetic equivalent circuit modelling method. Analytical thrust deviation exists to calculating magnetic flux density by using Permeance Modelling Method, Finite Element Method, and Velocity Electric Motive Force method. For calculating accuracy thrust by using these every method, tire thrust is calculated and compared by Lorentz Force method, Magnetic coenergy Method, and Maxwell correspondence forte Method. And that becomes Important factor at the comparison of each capacity and parameter of motor. So this study wants to compare and analyze measurement data and calculating data of the static thrust of LPM. and then we can get more accuracy method, calculating the static thrust of LPM.

윈드 쉬어에 의한 2MW급 육상용 풍력터빈의 추력 특성 확인 (An Investigation on Thrust Properties under Wind Shear for an On-Shore 2 MW Wind Turbine)

  • Multi-MW wind turbines have very large blades over 40~50 m in length. Some factors like wind shear and tower shadow make an effect on asymmetric loads on the blades. Larger asymmetric loads are produced as the length of blade is getting longer. In this paper, a 2 MW on-shore wind turbine is considered and variations of thrust on 3 blades and rotor hub under wind shear are calculated by using a commercial Bladed S/W and dynamic properties of the thrust variations are investigated. It is shown that the amplitude of the asymmetric thrust on each blade under wind shear is getting larger as the wind speed increases, the frequency of the thrust variation on each blade is same as the one of rotor speed, and the frequency of the thrust variation at rotor hub is 3 times as high as the one of rotor speed.
