A new password authentication method Is proposed in this paper for the purpose of providing web page authors the convenience in deploying password-protected Web realms at a web server. According to this method. a web realm is mapped to a secret directory at the web server. in which access-controlled web pages are stored. A password is used to construct the name of the secret directory. A javaScript code is embedded in a sign-in web pageoutside the secret directory, which converts the user-entered password into the directory name and forms a complete URL pointing to an access-controlled web page inside the secret directory. Thus, only users knowing the password can compose a valid URL and retrieve the access-controlled web page. Using this method, web page authors can deploy password-protected web realms in a server-independent manner.

Server-side scripting languages for web applications have a different environment from general programming languages. The reason is that some data in web applications should be transferred to a distinct file of a page or should be maintained for a physical time, that is for session time. SO JSP has four kinds of new scopes such as page, request, session, application. And every identifiers in JSP are classified and processed as one of the four scopes. This seems unavoidable to a scripting language because of the web environment. So when a JSP page using these new scope concepts is interpreted the procedure would be different from that of the general programming language's scopes. This thesis has studied the processing of the scopes which are considered in interpreting a script language code. This processing method of the scopes in this article can be applied not only to JSP interpreting but also to a data processing of similar ranges in web.

The Android operating system is exposed to a phishing attack of stealing private information that a user enters into a web page. We have discovered two security vulnerabilities of the phishing attack. First, an always-on-top scheme allows malware to place a transparent user interface (UI) on the current top screen and intercept a user input. Second, the Android provides some APIs that allow malware to obtain the information of a currently visited web page. This paper introduces a phishing that attacks a web page by exploiting the two vulnerabilities. The attack detects a visit to a security-relevant web page and steals private information from the web page. Our experiments on popular web sites reveal that the attack is significantly accurate and dangerous.

In this paper, we propose a web page retrieval system based on the sensibility evaluation induced by the color combination of web pages. The realized system consist of two modules - the indexing module that automatically extracts and indexes the color information from the web page and the retrieval module that retrieves web pages based on the color combination when sensibility adjective is presented. Also, to verify the system usefulness, we analyzed the ranking of web pages retrieved by the system and by human subjects (non-expels and experts for color web page design) using two statistical methods of correlation and paired-t test. Results by non-experts showed the realized system was suitable for 10 sensibility adjectives among 18 sensibility adjectives, and results by experts showed that the realized system was suitable for 14 sensibility adjectives among 18 sensibility adjectives.

The World Wide Web has become an entrenched global medium for storing and searching information. Most people begin at a Web search engine to find information, but the user's pertinent search results are often greatly diluted by irrelevant data or sometimes appear on target but still mislead the user in an unwanted direction. One of the intentional, sometimes vicious manipulations of Web databases is Web spamming as Google bombing that is based on the PageRank algorithm, one of the most famous Web structuring techniques. In this paper, we regard the Web as a directed labeled graph that Web pages represent nodes and the corresponding hyperlinks edges. In the present work, we define the label of an edge as having a link context and a similarity measure between link context and the target page. With this similarity, we can modify the transition matrix of the PageRank algorithm. A motivating example is investigated in terms of the Singular Value Decomposition with which our algorithm can outperform to filter the Web spamming pages effectively.

A web page was developed to enhance students' learning experience in studying meteorological phenomena. After collecting the meteorological elements observed with automatic weather observation system (AWS), it serve real-time meteorological information on demand. Past meteorological information as well as real-time current information can be retrieved because the web page can save and accumulate observed information in its data base. The completed web page was successfully applied in school settings in teaching students meteorology research sections of earth science. The results show that students experienced authentic and meaningful learning through the real-time meteorological information from the web page. In addition, large scale of time was required to observe meteorological phenomena and it hindered practical meteorological research in earth science classes. However, it is expected that the time limitation can be overcome by utilizing accumulated meteorological information of the web page.

In this paper, We have developed the Internet web browser for the blind and visually impaired person. The Internet Web browser system consists of personal computer connected to Internet, braille display, voice synthesis devices for character information, tactile display for the representation of web image and braille printer for web page printing. We convert character in the web page to braille and print it to braille display. The image in the web page is printed with tactile display actuated by solenoid. The blind can acess the Internet web site with this web browser system and understand the Internet information.

Since introduction of the PageRank technique, it is known that it ranks web pages effectively In spite of its usefulness, we found a computational drawback, which we call norm-leak, that PageRank values become smaller than they should be in some cases. We present an improved PageRank algorithm that computes the PageRank values of the web pages correctly as well as its efficient implementation. Experimental results, in which over 67 million real web pages are used, are also presented.

Along with the trend of internet use, various web application developments have been performed to provide information that was managed in the internal database on the web by making a web server page. However, in most cases, a direct program was made without a systematic developmental methodology or with the application of a huge developmental methodology that is inappropriate and decreased the efficiency of the development. A web application that fails to follow a systematic developmental methodology and uses a script language can decrease the productivity of the program development, maintenance, and reuse. In this thesis, the auto writing tool for a dynamic web server page was designed and established by using a database for web application development based on a fast and effective script. It suggests a regularized script model and makes a standardized script for the data bound control tag creator by analyzing a dynamic web server page pattern with the database in order to contribute to productivity by being used in the web application development and maintenance.

As a voice browser is introduced, voice dialog application becomes available on the Web environment. The voice dialog application consists of voice Web pages that need to translate the dialog scripts into SALT(Speech Application Language Tags). The current Web pages have been designed for visual. They, however, are potentially capable of using voice dialog. This paper, therefore, proposes an automated voice Web generation method that finds the elements for voice dialog from Web pages based HTML and converts them into SALT. The automatic generation system of a voice Web page consists of a lexical analyzer and a syntactic analyzer that converts a Web page which is described in HTML to voice Web page which is described in HTML+SALT. The converted voice Web page is designed to be able to handle not only the current mouse and keyboard input but also voice dialog.
