  • To understand and identity the meaning of sexuality in middle school girls and boys, the qualitative research was done. We made the in-depth unstructured interviews with 33 participants form July to October 1998. We analyzed the data according to the Collaizzi's phenomenological method. After repeated reading and interpretation of data, 15 themes and 7 basic structures were deducted. Followings were 7 basic structures: Physical touch and exposure. relationship with male and female, difference between male and female natural and inevitable life process, something should be hidden. interest and abstinence, and female as victim. According to above results, we would like to propose followings on the sexuality of middle school students : First, the research on the meaning of sexuality of high school and university students should be followed-up. Second. the measuring tool of sexual behaviour of the middle school students should be developed including the contents of 15 themes and 7 basic structures of this study.

  • In order to determine the level of safety on highway driving, the relationship between the psychophysiological signal and driving condition was investigated. In particular, a Demand-Effort model was conceptualized and used in this study to diagnose the suitability of driving by reading the patterns of psychophysiological signals. To run the model, threshold values were determined to categorize the high, moderate and low level of effort. To examine the sensitivity of the model, a cross-validation process was performed by collecting additional data. Further investigation need to be conducted to improve the sensitivity of the model for practical application.

  • Bayesian network is a form of probabilistic graphical model. It incorporates human reasoning to deal with sparse data availability and to determine the probabilities of uncertain cases. In this research, bayesian network is adopted to model the problem of construction project cost. General information, time, cost, and material, the four main factors dominating the characteristic of construction costs, are incorporated into the model. This research presents verify a model that were conducted to illustrate the functionality and application of a decision support system for predicting the costs. The Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is applied to estimate parameter distributions. Furthermore, it is shown that not all the parameters are normally distributed. In addition, cost estimates based on the Gibbs output is performed. It can enhance the decision the decision-making process.

  • This study applies in case of operating an exam using by the contrast order or inputting an order of a contrast media the exam of Radiology Department. It is developed for helping decision making as regards a process of an exam from reading the creatinine value automatically linked with Laboratory Information System. It can be confirmed by real-time information; therefore, the creditability of the information is able to be improved. We will create the base for Patient Monitoring System with the data from the side effect of the creatinine value and allergies. Decision Support System minimize the inconvenience and the riskiness of the given contrast medium for CT tests. We would like to improve medical services by providing a standard circumstance where patients are able to run tests safely and comfortably.

  • An integrated pressure-sensor system was developed using the sensor-conditioning processes, which resulted in the optimum sensitivity of the pressure-sensor through the signal amplification, noise reduction, and level shift. Due to the specified characteristics among the components, such as operation range, the sensor output was generally limited compared to the full scale of the reading when coupled with other parts. Devices fabricated exhibited comparable characteristics with higher pressure sensitivity to that of the pressure sensor without sensor-conditioning process. In this work, the sensor resolution was at least enhanced at least by 25% using the sensor-conditioning processes.

  • 2007 Design Festival on Seongnam Living Design has been held with the theme of "You and I, We" on the basis of harmony through design. This kind of theme has the main concepts as follows: Harmony- the exhibition program that can capture our mind, Communication-the experience program not through personal work but through group work, Design Seongnam-joyful Sungnam which we have made together by regional participation design project. Especially, it also has encouraged active and voluntary participation based on the promotion of the event and design exhibition that are hosted by the universities, elementary and secondary schools that represent the downtown Seongnam. In understanding Seongnam City, it has applied the plan introducing emotional process. These are the programs, which are reading, thinking, listening, watching, touching, making, and dreaming. Through the processes of being with Seongnam by participants, it has helped people know more about Seongnam, and focused on being the exhibition understanding the members of the community Seongnam.

  • The invasion genes from Salmonella typhimurium were identified by the construction of a cosmid library and subcloning genes into a plasmid vector, pGEM-7Z. The 4.65 kb fragment of the invasion-conferring genomic region of the subclone, pSV6235 was sequenced in both direction. The three open reading frames, which were located at downstream of a promoter region, were designated as sir (Salmonella invasion region)A coding for the 36 amino acids, sirB coding for the 132 amino acids and sirC for the 82 amino acids, respectively. Interesingly, the genomic region of pSV6235 was highly homologous to Yersinia enterocolitica genomic DNA for a high pathogenicity island and Salmonella enteritidis insertion element IS1351 and IS200 DNA. These results show that there could be a significant relationship between S. typhimurium, Y. enterocolitica and S. enteritidis with respect to horizontal evolution process and acquisition of virulence determinants by means of transposon, plasmid or bacteriophage.

  • Currently, polysomnography is essential to diagnose sleep-related breathing disorders. However, there are several disadvantages to polysomnography, such as the requirement for multiple sensors and a long reading time. In this paper, we propose a system for predicting the severity of sleep-related breathing disorders at home utilizing measurable elements in a wearable device. To predict severity, the variables were refined through a three-step variable selection process, and the refined variables were used as inputs into three machine-learning models. As a result of the study, random forest models showed excellent prediction performance throughout. The best performance of the model in terms of F1 scores for the three threshold criteria of 5, 15, and 30 classified as the AHI index was about 87.3%, 90.7%, and 90.8%, respectively, and the maximum performance of the model for the three threshold criteria classified as the RDI index was approx 79.8%, 90.2%, and 90.1%, respectively.

  • Insects use chitinolytic enzyme to digest chitin in the exoskelton during the molting process. We have isolated and sequenced a chitinase-encoding cDNA from the silkworm, Bombyx mandarina, compared its sequenced with genes encoding chitinolytic enzymes from other sources. The insert DNA in the clone is 2,675 nucleotides long with an open reading frame of 1,695 uncletides that encodes a protein of 565 amino acids with a molecuar weight of 63.4 kDa. The 3' -untranslated region of 889 nucleotides is AT-rich and contains two putative polyadenylation signals. The N-terminal sequence of the encoded protein contains numerous hydrophobic residues characteristic of a leader peptide. The amino acid alignment revealed that the endo-$\beta$-N-acetylglucosaminidase had 83% and 97% homology with M. sexta and B. mori, respectively. The deduced amino acid had two highly conserved region at the amino acid residues 97-111 and 139-148 that were related to the existing chitinase.

  • This paper proposes a new content-addressable memory implemented with an analog array which has linear writing and erasing characteristics. The size of the array in this memory is $2{\times}2$, which is a reasonable structure for checking the disturbance of the unselected cells during programming. An intermediate voltage, Vmid, is used for preventing the interference during programming. The operation for reading in the memory is executed with an absolute differencing circuit and a winner-take-all (WTA) circuit suitable for a nearest-match function of a content-addressable memory. We simulate the function of the mechanism by means of Hspice with 1.2${\mu}m$ double poly CMOS parameters of MOSIS fabrication process.
