With the increasing interest in the expression of individuality and appearance of modern people, it is time to conduct research and development of novel hair coloring from various angles. Therefore, taking into account the order of discoloration of hair pigments, we selected a creative and novel emulsion as a novel material for hair coloring, rather than a cosmetic material such as hot water extract using natural products dealt with in previous studies, commercially available hair manicure, and oxidation hair dye for hair. Thus, the change in tensile strength and elongation of hair samples by color was studied. As a result of the study, hair with green emulsion paint had a significantly higher maximum load, maximum stress, maximum elongation and breaking load, breaking stress, breaking elongation values are shown. Maximum in terms of modulus, green emulsion applied hair and the control group were higher in the 0-15s strain and 15-145s sections, respectively, and the tangential modulus value was much higher in the control group than the experimental group hairs in all the 0-145s sections. This study, which analyzes the dynamic changes of hair samples that extend the daily color gamut, will greatly contribute to the development of innovative hair coloring materials in the research and production of hair beauty works, and it is judged that it will also contribute to the development of the beauty industry.

In the present study, wogonin, a major flavone isolated from Scutellaria Radix were examined for its imunosuppressive activity on the 2,4-dinitro-fluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced delayed type hypersensitivity (DTH) in C3H/HeN mice. This compound inhibited selectively $TNF-\alpha$ and IL-4, but not IL-6, IL-10 and $IFN-\gamma$ on DNFB-induced Th1 and Th2 cytokines in a concentration-dependent manner. Interestingly, this compound increased the expression of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in a concentration-dependent manner The above results reveal that wogonin possesses anti-inflammatory, humoral and cellular immunomodulatory, and stress reducing activities on the DNFB-induced DTH in mice and these properties may contribute to the anti-atopic dermatitis activity of Scutellaria Radix.

This study considers types of expression and examines aesthetic characteristics through analyzing designs (such as the Coca-Cola contour bottle as fashion) which has actively progressed in the collaboration of fashion designers and fashion brands. The conclusions of this study are as follows. The types of fashion expression on the Coca-Cola contour bottle are a presentation of diverse fashion images through a digital print expression that allow people-friendly images to be three-dimensional (or by adding a formative element) and the use of accessories or clothes. The symbolism characteristic were first indicated for the aesthetic characteristics on the Coca-Cola contour bottle. Symbolism is indicated through the identification of an implicit meaning towards a specific object. The symbolism of fashion was highlighted by designing the Coca-Cola's contour bottle with a typical material and pattern pursued by fashion designers and fashion brands. Second, the characteristic of playfulness was presented to expresses the instinctive desire in human nature for pleasure. The expression of visual playfulness is emphasized through the combination of item and image or by changing and re-analyzing a form through refuting stereotypes. Third, the characteristic of femininity was shown to express beauty in external image or a woman's delicate and soft inner propensity. Femininity was created by presenting a sensual femininity that recognized the voluminous curve silhouette of the Coca-Cola bottle such as a sexy female body or through the combination of a women's inner beauty with the sensory image of the object.
The structural aesthetics of architecture are becoming an inspirational source for many fashion designers and have been reborn in structural fashion. This study planned to analyze the method of expression of structural aesthetics expressed in modern structural fashion design and the construction method to maximize such an effect on the basis of the construction characteristic of Santiago Calatrava as the representative architect of the structural aesthetic. According to the study, the structural aesthetics expressed in modern structural fashion design are as follows: 1) The symbolical formative aesthetic expressed by symbolical inference and analyzation; 2) the dynamic beauty of physic expressed by visual emphasis and dynamics; and 3) the asymmetric beauty of symmetry expressed by metastasis toward the boundary between balance and imbalance. In addition, to maximize structural aesthetics, we used repetition and a progressive technique based on rhythm, asymmetry, and incision-based variances, such as balance, polygon flux, and inference, and analyzation-based distortion as the structuring principle. The following expression methods for maximizing structural aesthetics were found: 1) symbolical and structural exaggeration of appearance; 2) detail technique expansion and material property diversification; and 3) the three-dimensional transformation of structure and shell expression. Structural fashion design was found to have maximized structural aesthetics by using such expression methods to secure artistic esthetics, destroy existing shapes and patterns, and create unique shapes.
We evaluated the inhibitory effect of Pueraria lobata root ethanol extract (PLREE) on lipid accumulation during 3T3-L1 differentiation to adipocytes by measuring the intracellular expression of adipogenic, lipogenic, and lipolytic markers and lipid accumulation. The total polyphenol and flavonoid content of PLREE were 47 and 29 mg/g, respectively. The electron donating capacity of PLREE at $1,000{\mu}g/mL$ was 48.8%. Treatment of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes with 100, 250, or $500{\mu}g/mL$ PLREE for 8 days dose-dependently promoted the differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells. In contrast, the lipid content of PLREE-treated cells was significantly reduced by 7.8% (p < 0.05), 35.6% (p < 0.001), and 42.2% (p < 0.001) following treatment with 100, 250, and $500{\mu}g/mL$ PLREE, respectively, as compared to differentiated control cells. PLREE upregulated peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor ${\gamma}$ mRNA and protein, and sterol regulator element-binding protein-1c mRNA levels, but did not affect CCAAT/enhancer binding-protein ${\beta}$ and ${\alpha}$ mRNA levels. PLREE also downregulated acetyl-CoA carboxylase mRNA and protein, fatty acid synthase (FAS) protein, and leptin mRNA levels, but did not affect FAS mRNA expression. PLREE upregulated adipose triglyceride lipase mRNA and protein expression, and hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) protein expression, but did not affect HSL mRNA expression. In conclusion, we found that PLREE enhanced adipogenesis, but reduced lipogenesis, resulting in decreased lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells.
As modern society leads to distinguished, sensuous, and diversity styles, a woman who enjoys putting on Garu makeup appeared on a popular TV talk show in winter 2010, which aroused public interest in the method of Garu makeup. However, as interest in Garu makeup and individuals who put on Garu makeup spread, some began to consider Garu makeup as the imitation of indiscreet Japanese culture or a vulgar culture. Thus the purposes of this study is to understand the characteristics of Garu makeup and its forms of expression by considering its type, origin and style. In turn, this study will provide basic data for the makeup trend and act as an aid to improve the image of Garu makeup through investigating its image and preference. To accomplish this purpose, this study reviewed relevant literatures and web resources, conducted a survey of students who study beauty art at two-year junior colleges in Seoul, and analyzed 195 answers by using SPSS 18.0. The results are as follows: It was proved that in the preliminary inspection of comprehension, 98.3% of college students majoring in beauty art had known Garu makeup, 53% understood somewhat the characteristic and concept of Garu makeup, 36.8% gave preference to Garu makeup. It was proved that in the investigation by the image of Garu makeup, as over 70% of students thought that Ogaru and Yamamba makeup were detestable, but other Garus were lovely and sexy, students perceived as a diversity of images by their own preferences and tastes, and 73% of respondents selected Onegaru as Garu makeup that they gave preference to and wanted to put on. The result of this study represents that mass consumers in the existing culture, who are college students majoring in beauty art and selected as a sample group in this study, reflect the stream of culture and trend, but also demassification, mass customization by their areas of interests and preferences and connective massification of individuals with similar interests.
This study analyzes the new possibility of design through the research for the expression of cladding design architectural materials, and applies to connection with creative design concept. In these modern days, architectural materials became the subject of expression as itself thanks to the development of new technology and materials. The physical properties of materials and their beauty value made possible the variety and possibility of expression in space design. The expressional properties of materials can lead mutual communication between commodity and brand by association, presenting brand image and the distinction of its value. Therefore, the trends of designed material expression in space design according to modern aspect can offer the possibility of material space design for ahead. This study suggest an alternative idea for revitalizing design by materials.

The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of effective expression on T-shirts pattern by peirce's semiotic theory. The methods of this study was to analyze 721 T-shirts patterns in designer's collection from 2000 to 2004. The results of this study were as follows: First of all, iconic expression showed high frequency after 2000. Characteristics of effective expression were as follows: In geometric expression, repetition was presented as a symbolic sign by regular proportion and rule of dot, line, plane, irregularity, mixture of irregular dot, line, plane. Mixed expression was presented as a iconic and symbolic sign by collage, mixture of dot, line, plane, icon and letter. In iconic expression, simplification of iconic sigrl was presented as a iconic sign by simplification of form, color, texture, realistic expression using digital as a iconic sign, and symbolic face, body as a symbolic sign. Pop art's expression was presented as a iconic sign by a cartoon and commercial character and illusion was presented as a iconic sign. In letter's expression, brand logo was presented as a symbolic sign by transformation of letter's design, a symbolic sign of numeral by transformation of size, thickness, form, color. Symbolic message phrase was presented by slogan, fashion trend, brand image, descriptive indication message as a index sign by using icon or singleness. In conclusion, characteristics of effective expression on T-shirts pattern will present not only the theoretical foundation to raise the value added, but also the information about beauty sense of times, political and social value.

That's the way we can get continuous life force and competitive power of our traditional culture. The Korean traditional masks haven't only been for the prevention of bad luck and the prayer of fortune, but also well expressed Korean people's looks, features and personalities according to the roles. They are excellent artistic works in themselves, and many studies have been performed on the analyses and uses of the features of the masks in various fields due to their good expression of different cultural aspects, while the studies in the light of make-up are rarely performed. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the features of the Korean traditional masks and, by using this analysis, to present effective make-up designs in outdoor performances through a stage performance. In addition, this article also tries to present the orientation of make-up as an expression of artistic image, and to expand the expression area of make-up by using the Korean traditional masks in the light of make-up. For this purpose, I examined the related literature and the precedent study materials to find the origin and kinds of the Korean traditional masks, and analyzed the features of the masks. Furthermore, I established the make-up design plan using the material features of the Korean traditional masks by analyzing the characters in actual performance works, and presented the photos of works actually performed.
