Objectives : The purpose of this study was to explore diverse factors of patients with periodontal diseases, make comprehensive and pluralistic assessment of relevant factors, construct a hypothetical model, including direct and indirect paths, and test goodness-of-fit of the model. Methods : TRaw data were used from the sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey for the first and second years which was conducted from January 2013 to December 2014. Excluding current patients with cancer which could severely affect the quality of life among patients with periodontal diseases who were between 40 and 64 years of age, a total of 1,555 patients were included and finally analyzed in this study. Results : Among the factors affecting the quality of life, health perception had total effects through direct effects and functions had indirect and total effects through the channel of health perception. Conclusions : In oral health programs for the middle-aged, it is necessary to have preventive interventions in oral health; in particular, it is necessary to provide intervention programs that can improve health perception and relieve functional restrictions.

The purpose of this study was to analyze. The effect of participation physical activities on health care patterns in the aged. The subject of the study was selected by multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling among the aged center and aged club to participate program whose age were 65 and over year old among inhabitant the Kwangju metropolitan area. The data were collected through a questionnaire adapted from Payne and Hahn's(1986) 'Understanding Your Health-A personal profile; Evaluating Your Health'. The pilot test was executed after the questionnaire was translated into Korean.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between resilience, social support and caring burden of middle-aged caregivers caring for chronic disease. The data were collected from 175 caregivers at one rehabilitation centers in B City from July 2 to 31, 2018 and analyzed SPSS Win 21.0. Factors influencing caring burden were time for caregiving(F=6.70, p<.001), activities of daily living(F=4.70, p<.001), patient disease(F=4.61, p<.001), relationship with patients(F=3.68, p<.013), Health Status(F=3.08, p=.018), Marital status(t=-2.12, p<.036), Period after diagnosis(F=2.92, p=.036). The caring burden had not an influence on resilience and social support. a positive correlation was found between resilience and socail support(r=.487, p<.001). Therefore, it is essential to develop burden intervention programs that can reduce the burden in middle-aged caregivers caring for chronic disease and taking all the factors affecting burden into consideration.

In this study, effect of EB-PVD coated Si/HA film thickness on surface characteristics of Ti-35Nb-10Zr alloy was investigated. The Ti-35Nb-10Zr alloy was fabricated by arc melting method. The Si/HA layers were coated with 0.8 wt.% of Si in pure HA by EB-PVD method. The coating thickness was consisted with 100 - 300 nm for each group, the surface characteristics was analyzed by FE-SEM, EDS, XRD, XRF and corrosion test. The Si/HA coating layer was well deposited on the alloy surface by EB-PVD, the thickness was correlative factor with HA peaks and corrosion resistance value.

This study was a descriptive study to investigate factors affecting sleep time in the Korean elders. A secondary data analysis was conducted using the data of "The Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2011". The survey included 3,487 people aged over 65 years and 1,163 samples were used for this study. Data were analyzed with the ${\chi}^2$-test and logistic regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Analysis showed that sleep time was related with the number of chronic disease and limit on the activities of daily living(ADL). These findings suggest that nursing researchers need to consider chronic disease, and ADL as important factors affecting sleep time of Korean elders. Therefore nursing intervention focusing on the issues in needed to develope.

In this study, corrosion behaviors of Ti-xNb alloys for biomaterials. The Ti-xNb binary alloys contained from 10 wt. % to 50 wt. % contents were manufactured by vacuum arc-melting furnace. Microstructures of the alloys were examined by optical microscope (OM) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). In order to identify the phase constitutents of the Ti-xNb alloys, X-ray diffractometer (XRD) with a Cu K radiation was used. The corrosion behaviors were investigated using potentiostat (Model2273,EG & GCo, USA) in NaCl solution at $(36.6{\pm}1.0)^{\circ}C$.

The purposed of this work was to determine surface charateristics of anodized Ti-30Nb-xTa alloys with Ta content. Samples were prepared by arc melting, followed by followed by homogenization for 12 hr at $1000^{\circ}C$ in argon atmosphere. The electrolyte for anodization treatment was prepared by mixing 465ml $H_2O$ with 35M $H_3PO_4$ and anodized at 180V to 220V. The microstructures of the alloys were examined by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and optical microscopy (OM). Surface characteristics of anodized Ti-30Nb-xTa alloys was investigated by potentiodynamic test and potentiostatic in 0.9% Nacl solution at $36.5{\pm}1^{\circ}C$. It was observed that the changed ${\alpha}$ phase to ${\beta}$ phase with Ta content.

The purposed of this work was to observe hydroxyapatite precipitation phenomena on micro-pore formed Ti-Nb alloy by PEO technique. The Ti-30Nb and Ti-30Ta alloys were remelted at least ten times in order to avoid inhomogeneity, and then cylindrical specimens (diameter 10 mm, thickness 4 mm) were cut by using laser from cast ingots of the Ti alloys. Heat treatment was carried out at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2 h for homogenization in argon atmosphere. The morphologic change of the alloys were examined by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM).

This study examined the dermatophytes of calves aged between 6 and 12 months in the Hanwoo calf auction market. Moreover, the research analyzed how dermatophytosis affected the auction price of Hanwoo calves based on their sex and age. The incidence rate of dermatophytosis was found to be 85 cases out of 1,955 calves (4.3%). The major location of dermatophytosis lesions were in the head region. Specifically, the highest prevalence was observed in the forehead (42.4%), followed by the eyes (30.1%), and the ears (18.8%). The auction prices of Hanwoo calves were observed that the average price for normal calves was 2,936,428 won, while calves with dermatophytosis were sold at 2,767,059 won. Comparing auction prices according to gender and age, it was observed that male calves and calves aged between 8 and 12 months had significantly lower auction prices compared to normal calves. The results provided valuable insights into the current situation of dermatophytosis in Hanwoo calves. Moreover, analyzing the impact of dermatophytosis on the auction prices of these calves, it has generated essential data that can serve as a foundation for implementing and enhancing ongoing management and prevention measures for dermatophytosis in cattle.

The purpose of this study is to provide a basis to recognize the health behaviors of middle-aged men that are constructive to a healthy life style. Data were collected from interview of questionnaires completed by 160 middle aged men living in Incheon from November 1 to 30, 2000. The questionnaires used in this study were obtained from publications on health related topics shown in literature review. These topics included : health concept, diseases, use of tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, drug, exercise and diet, cause of stress and stress management. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics using the SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows. 1. $47.5\%$ of Middle aged men thought of concept of health as a doing daily living pattern. 2. $38.5\%$ of the middle aged men had illness or disease, which included hypertension, gastritis, disc, peptic ulcer, indigestion and DM. 3. $55.6\%$ of the middle aged men smoked cigarettes. Most of them the began to smoke due interest. 4. $72.5\%$ of the middle aged men drank alcohol. Most of them began drinking due to peer pressure. 5. $81.2\%$ of the middle aged men consumed caffeine-containing products. 6. $59.4\%$ of the middle aged men took drugs. Most of the drugs were digestant. vitamins and analgesics. 7. $25.2\%$ of the middle aged men exercised more than 2 times per week. 8. Most of causes of stress were economic difficulties and sickness. The method of stress management were alcolhol and use of tobacco mostly.
