  • A improving sensorless compensator for the IPMSM(Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) drive system is proposed. Generally, the motor drive system is required the robust parameter variation and disturbance. The speed estimation methods of the conventional IRP(Instantaneous Reactive Power) compensator is improved by the speed estimation techniques of the current model observer with the proposed instantaneous reactive power compensator. Performance evaluations of the novel speed error compensator and sensorless control system are carried out by the experiments.

  • This paper deals with the analysis of characteristics of position and speed estimator of an adaptive sensorless control algorithm for PMSM drives. The analysis shows that the back emf constant variation results in the position estimation error, but does not the speed estimation error. The simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the analysis result and the usefulness of the back emf constant estimator.

  • This paper proposes the efficiency improvement method of vvcf-induction motor drives, which operates always at rated speed, regardless of load conditions, with counter emf estimation. The counter emf is estimated by detecting the fundamental component of motor input current, which is employed in speed control algorithm through the comparison with the actual counter emf during the nonconduction interval. The input power reduction by speed control is confirmed through simulations and experimental results.

  • This paper presents a simulation model based on support vector regression (SVR) for flicker emission estimation from wind turbines. Training patterns are developed by varying the wind speed and network parameters that might affect the expected flicker levels. A comparison is done to the fixed speed wind turbine (WT), which leads to a conclusion that the factors mentioned above have different influences on flicker emission. The simulation results have shown that the flicker estimation is performed accurately.

  • Precise control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) over wide speed range is an engineering challenge. This paper considers the design and implementation of novel technique of high performance speed control for IPMSM using learning mechanism-fuzzy neural network(LM-FNN) and ANN(artificial neural network) control. The hybrid combination of neural network and fuzzy control will produce a powerful representation flexibility md numerical processing capability. Also, this paper proposes speed control of IPMSM using LM-FNN and estimation of speed using artificial neural network controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. 'The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The back propagation mechanism is easy to derive and the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. Analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the new hybrid intelligent control proposed in this paper.

  • This paper introduces a new technique for estimating the speed of a mobile station in a wireless system. The proposed method is based on the feature extraction of the received signal envelope. The undecimated discrete wavelet transform via lifting captures local minimum points of the received signal, which is used for the speed estimation. This technique requires neither knowledge of the average received power of the nonstationary signal nor adaptation of a temporal observation window, in contrast to other speed estimators given in the literature. Simulations show that the proposed speed estimator tracks the variable speed of the mobile station.

  • This paper presents hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller based on the vector controlled IPMSM drive system. And it is based on artificial technologies that adaptive neural network fuzzy(A-NNF) is to speed control and artificial neural network(ANN) is to speed estimation. The salient feature of this technique is the HAI controller The hybrid action tolerates any inaccuracies in the fuzzy logic assignment rules or in the neural network stationary weights. Speed estimators using feedforward multilayer and artificial neural network(ANN) are compared. The back-propagation algorithm is easy to derived the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. This paper presents the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new hybrid intelligent control.

  • In this paper, an estimator scheme for the rotor speed and flux of an induction motor is proposed on the basis of a fourth-order electrical model. It is assumed that only the stator currents and voltages are measurable, and that the stator currents are bounded. There are a number of common terms in the motor dynamics, and this is utilized to find a simple error model involving some auxiliary variables. Using this error model, the state estimation problem is converted into a parameter estimation problem assuming that the rotor speed is constant. Some stability properties are given on the basis of Lyapunov analysis. In addition, the rotor resistance, which varies with the motor temperature, can also be estimated within the same framework. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated through computer simulations and experiments.

  • Recently, vector control without a speed sensor for an inverter induction motor system has been developed. In this paper describes the vector control system estimates rotor speed based on FMRAS(Flux Model Reference Adaptive System). Because of improving the initial condition and drift problem by pure integrator is eliminated, we can be expected to rapid responsibility of the speed estimation. The stability of speed estimator is proved on the basis of hyperstability theory. Proposed control system used TMS320C31 DSP for high speed processing. The effectiveness of the proposed system is verified by simulation and experimental results. This result shows that the highly characteristic speed estimation and robust character of load regulation.

  • This paper proposes a vehicle counting and speed estimation method for traffic situation analysis in road CCTV videos. The proposed method removes a distortion in the images using Inverse perspective Mapping, and obtains specific region for vehicle counting and speed estimation using lane detection algorithm. Then, we can obtain vehicle counting and speed estimation results from using optical flow at specific region. The proposed method achieves stable accuracy of 88.94% from several CCTV images by regional groups and it totally applied at 106,993 frames, about 3 hours video.
