특허 마이닝을 이용한 국방관련 국제특허분류 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Defense-related International Patent Classification using Patent Mining)

  • Purpose: As most defense technologies are classified as confidential, the corresponding International Patent Classifications (IPCs) require special attention. Consequently, the list of defense-related IPCs has been managed by the government. This paper aims to evaluate the defense-related IPCs and propose a methodology to revalidate and improve the IPC classification scheme. Methods: The patents in military technology and their corresponding IPCs during 2009~2020 were utilized in this paper. Prior to the analysis, patents are divided into private and public sectors. Social network analysis was used to analyze the convergence structure and central defense technology, and association rule mining analysis was used to analyze the convergence pattern. Results: While the public sector was highly cohesive, the private sector was characterized by easy convergence between technologies. In addition, narrow convergence was observed in the public sector, and wide convergence was observed in the private sector. As a result of analyzing the core technologies of defense technology, defense-related IPC candidates were identified. Conclusion: This paper presents a comprehensive perspective on the structure of convergence of defense technology and the pattern of convergence. It is also significant because it proposed a method for revising defense-related IPCs. The results of this study are expected to be used as guidelines for preparing amendments to the government's defense-related IPC.

  • 장신구 산업은 인건비의 비중이 높고 노동자의 역량에 따라 제품의 제작 작업 시간 및 품질의 편차가 심하다. 이에 산업계의 수요에 맞추어 실리콘 금형 표면 지름 0.75mm 홀에 이어핀을 삽입하는 공정을 자동화하기 위하여 삽입 자동화 시스템이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이어핀 삽입 자동화시스템에서 적용할 수 있는 템플릿 매칭 방법과 관심 영역 레이블링을 통한 홀 판별 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법의 안정성을 확보하기 위하여 실험을 통해 최적의 매칭 방법과 이진화 기법을 적용하였으며 이어핀 홀의 좌표를 확보하여 X-Y 정밀 이송 시스템에 적용할 수 있다.

산업 내 경쟁자와 신규진입자의 등록특허 분석을 통한 ICT 산업 융합기술 도출 (Identifying Converging Technologies in the ICT Industry : Analysis of Patents Published by Incumbents and Entrants)

  • As the ICT is an industry which is the basis of the technology convergence, it is the driving force of development for new business opportunities and existing industries. But, most of the existing studies for ICT convergence have identified the trend for convergence in technological terms. So, it is difficult to identify the convergence trend in the subject innovation perspective which leads the innovation activities In the ICT industry. The newly entered companies in the ICT industry are key indicators to identify the convergence trend. They have two specific characteristics that show the wide range of the convergence technology and the application rate of the convergence. Because previous studies did not take into account these two characteristics of the newly entered companies, so it is hard to analyze the exact convergence trend. Therefore, in this paper, we classify the patents for the ICT industry depending on the subject innovation. Then, we deduct the core convergence technology in the ICT industries and application area of the non-ICT industries.

IT 융합서비스 및 활용기술의 기술속성에 관한 연구 : 산업간 융합을 중심으로 (A Study on Technology Characteristics of IT Convergence Service and Application Technology for Industrial Convergence)

  • The IT convergence industry is expected to create some high added-value, yet the IT convergence service is still in its introductory stage, which requires the utilization of yet to be tried future technologies and development methodologies that have been never tried in the past; therefore, there is certain risk involved regarding the success of development during the introduction of service and the development of technology. From such perspective, this study found examples of the services in the IT convergence industries and the application technologies for the realization of those services; and conducted a research based on the examples, using the technical Characteristics classification; and based on the result, analyzed the standards and the peculiarity of technologies employed for the IT convergence service and the correlation and the complementarity between them; also identified the standards and the peculiarity of technologies required by the IT convergence services and analyzed the correlation between them; and finally analyzed the compatibility between the IT convergence services and the applied technologies. The conclusion of this study is expected to be utilized for selecting technologies for the introduction and the operation of the optimal IT convergence service and as a benchmark as well.

융합지수 측정을 통한 출연연 융합연구영역 발굴모형 연구 (A Methodology for Finding the Convergence Research Area by Measuring Convergence Index in Government Research Institutes)

  • 기술융합을 통해 R&D 경쟁력을 확보함과 더불어, 융합의 정도를 측정하고 이를 기반으로 융합을 유도하기 위한 전략에 대한 관심도 함께 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 출연연의 융합연구전략을 도출할 수 있는 데이터 기반 모형을 제시하였다. 우선적으로, 출연연 연구과제의 융합특성을 기술고유의 속성과 행위자의 행태 속성으로 구분하여, 각각의 대리변수(Rao-Stirling 지수, Herfindahl-Hirschman 지수)계산 방법을 고안하였다. 이들 대리변수를 두 축으로 출연연 융합맵을 설계하였으며, 이를 통해, 출연연 연구과제가 4개의 속성(Alliance-Intra, Alliance-Inter, Competition, Mission Oriented)으로 구분됨을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 설계된 융합맵을 기반으로 융합지수를 측정하여 출연연 간 30대 융합연구 가능영역을 도출하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 출연연 연구과제의 기술융합 현상에 대한 보다 정확하고 객관적인 분석을 수행할 수 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 융합연구 추진을 위한 정책에 참조할 수 있는 유효한 가이드라인을 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

How a Convergence Product Affects Related Markets: The Case of the Mobile Phone

  • Analyzing the diffusion of a convergence product is a new and challenging research field. It is very difficult to find research dealing with this issue due to the inherent complexity and lack of data. In analyzing the diffusion of a convergence product, we should simultaneously take into account its relationship with related single-function products because of their similarities in terms of technology and functionality. In this study, we empirically analyze the diffusion of the convergence mobile phones in South Korea and find that the convergence products can affect the diffusion of MP3 players and digital cameras positively or negatively. This research may be significant for business strategies in technology management and product development.

Development of Radar-enabled AI Convergence Transportation Entities Detection System for Lv.4 Connected Autonomous Driving in Adverse Weather

  • Securing transportation safety infrastructure technology for Lv.4 connected autonomous driving is very important for the spread of autonomous vehicles, and the safe operation of level 4 autonomous vehicles in adverse weather has limitations due to the development of vehicle-only technology. We developed the radar-enabled AI convergence transportation entities detection system. This system is mounted on fixed and mobile supports on the road, and provides excellent autonomous driving situation recognition/determination results by converging transportation entities information collected from various monitoring sensors such as 60GHz radar and EO/IR based on artificial intelligence. By installing such a radar-enabled AI convergence transportation entities detection system on an autonomous road, it is possible to increase driving efficiency and ensure safety in adverse weather. To secure competitive technologies in the global market, the development of four key technologies such as ① AI-enabled transportation situation recognition/determination algorithm, ② 60GHz radar development technology, ③ multi-sensor data convergence technology, and ④ AI data framework technology is required.

루테늄촉매 활성정도에 따른 유리섬유/폴리다이사이클로펜타다이엔 복합재료의 기계 및 계면물성 변화 (The Change in Interfacial and Mechanical Properties for Glass Fiber/p-DCPD Composites with Degree of Ruthenium Catalyst Activation)

  • 루테늄촉매는 대기중에 노출되었을 때, 촉매활성정도가 떨어지게 된다. 루테늄 촉매의 촉매활성변화를 대기노출 일수에 따라 표면장력방법을 이용하여 정량적으로 확인하였다. 각 대기노출일수에 따른 루테늄 촉매를 이용하여 DCPD 중합 후 기계 및 계면물성변화를 확인하였다. 희석제와 10:1로 섞인 루테늄 촉매를 대기 중에 노출 시킨 후 각 일수에 따라 색깔 관찰하였다. 윌헴리 및 PTFE를 이용하여 표면장력을 구하고 이를 촉매활성 정도와 연관시켰다. 각 촉매를 이용하여 DCPD를 중합시키는 데 발열량을 실시간으로 측정하였다. 경화 후 p-DCPD에 대하여 인장강도를 측정하여 물성감소정도를 확인하였다. 또한, 유리섬유 간 마이크로드롭렛 풀 아웃 실험을 통하여 계면물성 또한 파악하였다. 표면장력방법을 통하여 촉매활성 정도를 확인하였을 때, 4일까지는 33 dyne/cm로 안정적이었지만, 6일 이후로 표면장력이 34 dyne/cm 이상 증가하는 것을 확인하였고, 이는 촉매의 산화와 연관시킬 수 있었다. 기계적 물성 확인하였을 때, 인장강도 및 계면강도 또한 6일 (인장강도: 38 MPa. 계면전단 강도: 26 MPa) 까지는 안정적이었지만 10일 (인장강도: 15 MP. 계면전단강도: 3 MPa) 이후로 물성이 급격하게 감소하는 것을 확인하였다.
