In the large scale projects, it is difficult to manage every blocks because of the apartment housing project have repetitive shapes and structures. Therefore, it is necessary to divide construction site into work zones and blocks considering site plan, the number of units per each floor, arrangement of blocks, etc. In this study, 20 influencing factors on the grouping of work zones and formwork crew team formation are identified through case study and literature review. Factors are analyzed to determine the degree of influence through experts interviews. A systematic process of crew formation based on work zoning and the considerations by each steps are presented.

Although the importance of agricultural sector decreased over the last several decades because of the economic growth in Korea led by the development of manufacturing sector, the biomass energy resources such as urban wastes, industrial wastes including agricultural residues emerged recently as a major target of development mainly because of environmental issues. Most companies in the IT service industry have suffered from low profitability although this industry is highly value added, which may result in losing the competitiveness of the industry. The purpose of this study is to identify the influencing factors on the profit improvement rate of IT service projects and suggest how to improve the profit improvement rate, thus recovering the competitiveness of the IT service industry. The 273 IT service projects conducted by an IT service company in Korea during the past three years were analyzed and the project managers who performed these projects responded to the questionnaire developed in this study. The result from the analysis of data collected shows that the influencing factors on the profit improvement rate of IT service projects include scheduling, experience in similar projects, the leadership of project leaders, the level of team skills, relationship with clients, and clients support.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a theoretically sound framework for performance analysis that offers many advantages over traditional methods such as performance ratios and regression analysis. Largely the result of multidisciplinary research during the last three decades in economics, engineering and management, DEA is best described as an effective new way of visualizing and analyzing performance data. Besides, overseas information technology companies have aggressively tried to enter the domestic market. In the age of globalization and high competition, it is imperative that the system integration (SI) companies need to introduce the performance evaluation models of SI projects, including Capability Maturity Model and Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination, to gain a competitive advantage. Therefore, it makes our research regarding evaluation of SI projects very opportune. The purpose of the study is not only to evaluate efficiency of each project by DEA but also to gain insight into various factors such as project complexity, team members' man-months structure, and process index(project management index) that link to the projects performance.

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the relationships between the Boundary Spanning Activities (BSA) of project team and system performance in ERP system development projects. We could theoretically classify the BSA in the ERP development projects into five categories on the basis of existing studies on the BSA in the research fields of organization theory, new product development, and information systems development. These five categories are 'Ambassador' activities, 'Task-coordinator' activities, 'Scout' activities, 'Sentry' activities and 'Guard' activities. And the relationship between the implementation level of activities included in each category and the project performance (system usage and users' satisfaction) was hypothesized with respect to five BSA categories. In order to test the hypotheses, we conducted on/offline survey of the participants who were involved in the ERP system development projects, and received 345 valid responses. The unit of analysis was the project team, and the total number of teams that survey participants belonged to were 103 ones. The Structural Equation Model Analysis using the SMART PLS 3.0 was applied to statistically testing the hypotheses. The results showed that 10 hypotheses among 12 hypotheses could be supported. The theoretical implications of this study can be summarized as following; first, redefining and categorizing the BSA (Boundary Spanning Activities) in the ERP system development projects, secondly, deriving measurement indicators of the implementation level for each BSA category and statistically proving the validity and the reliability of them, and finally, suggesting the theoretical background of expanding the management area of ERP systems development projects. Furthermore, the practical implication of this study is that concrete BSA items which are empirically derived can be utilized as effective guidelines for successfully implementing the BSA in the process of managing the ERP system development projects.

This paper shares our project management experience in the 2 large-scale projects in managing a diverse international project team of consultants and managing in a foreign land. The first part introduces the two projects, second part addresses management of the projects and the last portion presents some of the challenges we experienced and highlights the importance of understanding the peculiarities of the operating environment, their norms, cultures, effectiveness and limitations of conventional project management tools while operating in a foreign country.

본 연구는 복잡하고 다양한 컨설팅 프로젝트에 참여하는 구성원들의 서로 다른 인식체계와 서로 다른 지식체계에 대한 프로젝트의 팀성과에 영향을 미치는 팀협업의 연구다. 본 연구의 목적은 컨설팅 프로젝트의 인지적 상호작용 과정에서 팀공유인지, 팀정보교류, 팀지식통합, 팀효능감의 매개효과를 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 선행 연구를 바탕으로 연구모형과 연구가설을 수립하였다. 컨설팅 프로젝트에 참여한 컨설턴트를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 연구가설에 대한 실증적 분석을 위해 인구통계학적 분석, 타당도 및 신뢰성 분석, 가설검정을 위한 구조모형 분석, 팬텀 변수를 이용한 매개효과 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 팀성과를 높이기 위해서는 인식체계인 팀공유인지 및 팀정보교류의 개선이 필요하며, 지식체계인 팀지식 통합이 함께 향상되어야 한다. 따라서 서로 다른 인지 및 지식체계를 통합하고, 서로의 전문성을 신뢰하며, 성공적으로 팀 작업을 수행할 수 있는 팀효능감이 필요하다. 그리고 향후 인지 과정의 하위요인에 관한 연구가 필요하다고 본다.

Group social capital can be defined as an intangible asset that promotes knowledge sharing and social interaction. It is posited here that the group social capital raised and nurtured among group members positively influences on team performance in IS (Information Systems) development projects. And communication effectiveness is selected as a critical antecedent and its detailed relationships with the dimensions of group social capital are analyzed. Effective communication plays important role in ISD project teams by integrating knowledge from different areas. Moderating effects of project phase between the sub-dimensions of social capital and project performance are investigated. Hypotheses are tested using data from 131 project teams of 85 manufacturing firms. The results indicated that Communication effectiveness positively impacted sub-dimensions of social capital (social ties, trust, and shared vision). Moreover, the team performance is influenced by shared vision and trust, leaving social ties as a leading subcontract, as theoretically proposed in prior research. The project phase moderates the impact of shared vision on team performance.

프로젝트의 성공적 수행을 위해 단계별 체계적 관리를 제공하는 사업관리정보시스템은 필수적이다. 그러나, 기존 관리시스템은 사업을 통한 공모과제들의 접수, 선정, 수행관리 등에만 초점이 맞춰져 있었으며, 사업 자체에 대한 관리는 전무한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 공모과제의 관리뿐만 아니라, 시행사업에 대한 총괄관리가 가능한 하향식 전주기적 사업관리의 시스템화를 통해 연구성과를 체계적으로 관리함으로써 사업관리 업무의 효율성을 제고할 수 있는 방안에 대해 기술한다. 또한, 사용자의 특성에 맞는 차별화된 정보를 제공할 수 있는 사업관리정보시스템 구축을 통해 고객 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하는 환경에 대해 기술한다. 이러한 사업관리정보시스템을 활용함으로써 표준화된 체계적 사업관리를 가능하게 하고, 시스템간 연계를 통한 즉각적인 후속 업무 진행으로 업무 효율성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 적용 사례를 통해 확인한다.

본 연구는 대형화되는 건설프로젝트의 성과 달성을 위해 체계적으로 프로젝트 관리를 할 수 있는 PMC의 중요성과 도입의 필요성을 증명하는 연구이다. 이를 위해 구조방정식 모형(SEM) 분석을 통하여 PMC의 역할과 건설프로젝트 성과와의 관계를 분석하여 PMC의 필요성 및 프로젝트 성공의 중요한 요인인 인적자원역량 중 PM리더십과 팀 구성원 역량이 건설프로젝트 성과에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 연구결과, PMC는 인적자원역량과 건설프로젝트 성과에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤고, 인적자원역량 또한 건설프로젝트 성과에 유의미한 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 대형 건설프로젝트에 PMC를 도입하고 PM리더십과 팀 구성원 역량을 강화한다면 건설프로젝트를 성공적으로 완공할 수 있음을 시사한다.
