In this paper, we developed a physically-based micromechanical model for inelastic deformation of ceramic powders. The aggregate response of ceramic particles was modeled using the two-surface yield function which considered the shear-induced dilatancy caused by friction, rolling resistance and cohesion between powder particles and consolidation caused by plastic deformation of powder themselves under high compression. The constitutive equations were implemented into the user-subroutine VUMAT of finite element program ABAQUS/Explicit. The material parameters in the constitutive model were identified by calibrating the model to reproduce data from triaxial compression tests and simple compression tests. The density distribution obtained by using the proposed model was in good quantitative agreement with the experimental results of the triaxial compression and cold isostaic compression as well.
An Ag/Ni bi-layer sheet was fabricated by the combination of powder metallurgy, diffusion bonding, cold rolling and texture annealing processes. After heat treating the cold rolled thin Ag/Ni bi-layer sheet at $900^{\circ}C$ for 4h, the excellent cube texture was developed on nickel surface. Qualitative chemical analysis using EPMA showed that inter diffusions of Ni and Ag in Ag/Ni bi-layer composite were negligible. It showed that Ag can be used as a chemical barrier for Ni and vice versa.
A Ni/Ag/Stainless steel 310S(SS310S) multi-layer sheet has been fabricated by a combination of vacuum brazing, cold rolling and texture annealing processes. After heat-treating the thin Ni/Ag/SS310S multi-layer sheet at $900^{\circ}C$ for 2h, development of (100)<001>cube texture on Ni surface was revealed by (111) pole figure. Quantitative chemical analysis was made by EPMA for the cross-section of the Ni/Ag/SS310S multi-layer sheet. EPMA results showed that Ag diffusion into the Ni layer, which may suppress the cube texture development, was negligible. A small amount of Cr atoms were detected in the Ni layer. It showed that Ag can be used as a chemical barrier of alloying element atoms in Ni layer for the Ni/Ag/SS310S multi-layer sheet and a strong cube texture was developed for the Ni layer in the Ni/Ag/SS310S multi-layer sheet.

In order to investigate the effect of surface treatment (Anodizing) and rolling on AI 5083-H131 alloy, under hyper velocity impact, a ballistic testing was conducted. Ballistic resistance of these materials was measured by a protection ballistic limit ($V_{50}$)' a statistical velocity with 50% probability of penetration. Perforation behavior and ballistic tolerance, described by penetration modes, were respectfully observed, by $V_{50}$ test and Projectile Through Plates (PTP) test at velocities greater than $V_{50}$. PTP tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$ obliquity at room temperature using 5.56mm ball projectiles. $V_{50}$ tests with 0$^{\circ}$ obliquity were also done with projectiles that were able to achieve near or complete penetration during PTP tests. Resistance to penetration, and penetration modes of Al 5052-H34 alloy were compared to those of Al 5083-H 131 alloy.
A new model for heat transfer and thermal deformation analysis according to strip mm in coiling process has been proposed. Finite difference analyses for heat transfer of cold rolled coil have been carried out under various coiling tensions and strip crown using the equivalent thermal conductivity for the radial direction of cold rolled coil which is a function of strip thickness, surface characteristics and compressive pressure. The compressive pressure is calculated from a equation expressed as a function of hoop stress and coil tension considering strip mm obtained by experiment. Finite element method for thermal deformation of cold rolled coil has been performed to investigate the effects of the strip crown, the coil tension and temperature. From these analyses, it is found that the axial inhomogeneity of thermal deformation is increased as the strip crown, compressive pressure, and temperature drop in cold coiled strip increase.
Stainless steels have been widely considered as metallic separators, due to their passive surface film, which is good for corrosion resistance. However, the high resistivity of the passive film increases interfacial contact resistance between the separators and electrodes. Stainless steels thermal spray coated with a mixture of tungsten carbide and stainless steel powders showed that the coated layer safely combined with the matrix but they suffered many internal defects including voids and cracks. Many cracks were formed in the coated layer and the interface of the matrix and the coated layer during the rolling process. The coated and rolled stainless steels showed lower interfacial contact resistance and corrosion resistance than bare stainless steel because of low resistivity of tungsten carbide and numerous defects, which caused crevice corrosion, in the coated layer.
Recently as the well-being diffuse and the living standard improves. People's demand for an environment lifestyle is gradually on the rise. The major source of the subway running train is rolling noise generated by the surface condition of wheel and rail. In this study, we research trends on the reduction noise level. Further-more, special traffic Ubiquitous helps to environment technical development.
Human polymorphonuclear neutrophils undergo diaphoresis after a selectin-mediated rolling on the endothelial cells of the blood vessel wall. Extravasation is believed to be an integrin-mediated process. Galectin-1 is a small dimeric beta-galactoside-binding protein synthesized by the endotherial cells and present in the perivascular connective tissue. In this study we suggest the possible role of galectin-1 in extravasation of the activated neutrophils. MAL lectin binding study showed, that f-MetLeuPhe-activated neutrophils decrease surface sialylation and increase galectin-1 binding via exposure of new galectin-1 binding sites. Desialylated HL-60 cells also show the same decrease in MAL binding and increase in galectin-1 binding, an increase which was not observed in the presence of lactose. Galectin-1 blotting analysis detected two possible major ligands (approximately 120 and 160 kDa) of galectin-1 from the desialylated HL-60 cell lysates.
We prepared YBCO coated conductor by direct deposition of YBCO on Ag substrate by a MOCVD method. The Ag substrate was only prepared by cold rolling. The XRD data of the as-rolled Ag tape showed the formation of dominant (420) oriented grains. Processing variables were the oxygen partial pressure (Po$_2$) and deposition temperature (T$_{d}$). It was found that the a-axis oriented films were grown at lower T$_{d}$ below 80$0^{\circ}C$, while the c-axis oriented films were grown about 80$0^{\circ}C$. The surface of the films consisted of a second inclusion phase dispersed in the YBCO matrix. The Cu-rich phase regions were observed at the YBCO/Ag interface probably due to the inter-diffusion of Ag and Cu. Cu.
As a preliminary design study to achieve target aerodynamic performance, this work was conducted on an original nozzle with 9 flutes in order to design a fluted nozzle with 12 flutes. The thrust and rolling moment of the nozzle with 12 flutes were analyzed using a CFD code according to the depth and rotation angle of the flutes. Based on this, a fluted nozzle with 12 flutes was optimized to yield the same thrust as that of the original nozzle with 9 flutes. The response surface method was applied for shape optimization of the fluted nozzle and design variables were selected to determine the depth angle and rotation angle of the flutes. An optimized shape that led to a thrust as strong as that of the original nozzle was obtained.
