직무특성이 직무스트레스에 미치는 효과 및 사회적 지원의 조절효과 (The relationship between job characteristics and job stress, and the moderating effect of social support)

  • This paper reviewed the relationship between job characteristics and job stress responses(physiological response, psychological response, behavioral response), and the moderating effect of social support. Based on the responses from 187 employees in small & medium manufacturing industry, hierarchical regressional analysis showed that job characteristics factors have partly negative relationships with job stress response. But, job variety has positive relationship. Social support has partly moderating effect on the relationship between job characteristics and job stress.

The Factors Affecting on Elderly' Life Satisfaction in the Residential Environments

  • This research is designed to identify factors that affect life satisfaction of the Korean elderly by studying residential environments and individual personalities as independent variables, and life satisfaction of the elderly as a dependent variable. It also includes emotional and instrumental support to describe relations between variables as mediating variables. It utilizes a questionnaire survey as its research method and studies those aged 65 and over living in urban, suburban and rural areas. In addition, regression and path analysis is used to identify casual links between different variables. The results are as follows: (1) Direct factors that impact emotional support are home ownership (direct effect= -.18) and transportation services (.15). That is, those who own their home and have easy access to public transpiration show increased levels of emotional support. (2) Direct factors that affect instrumental support are economic status (direct effect= .311) and living arrangement (.17). In other words, those who are financially stable and live with their children have more instrumental support. (3) Factors linked directly to life satisfaction of the elderly are their age (direct effect= -.10), health status (.19), economic status (.25), region of living (.22) and housing type (.19). (4) Among the mediating variables, emotional support has direct effect (.45) while instrumental support has indirect effect (.16).

Effects of polymer support fluid on shaft resistance of offshore bored piles

  • In this paper, we present the results of an experimental study on the effect of polymer support fluid on shaft resistance of offshore bored piles. A series of pullout tests were performed on bored piles installed under various boundary conditions considering different types of grounds and support fluids, and a range of support fluid exposure times. Contrary to previous studies concerning onshore bored piles, a time dependent effect of polymer fluid on shaft resistance was observed in all ground types. The adverse effect of polymer support fluid on the shaft resistance, however, was considerably less than bentonite support fluid for a given exposure time. No significant reduction in shaft resistance was evident when limiting the exposure time of the polymer support fluid to the side wall of the borehole within 2-3 hours. The degree to which the polymer fluid affects shaft resistance seemed to vary with the ground type. A proper consideration should be given to the time dependent effect of polymer fluid on shaft resistance of bored piles installed in offshore construction environment to limit its adverse effect on the pile performance. The practical implications of the findings are discussed.

관광개발 영향인식, 지역애착, 주민관여, 주민지지 및 친환경 행동의도 간의 영향관계: 제주도민을 대상으로 (The Relationship between Tourism Development Impact Perception, Local Attachment, Resident Involvement, Local Resident Support and Eco-friendly Behavior Intention: A Study of Jeju Island Residents)

  • Purpose - This study examined the influence relationships between the impacts of tourism development, local attachment, and resident involvement and local residents' support and pro-environmental behavior intentions in Jeju Island. Design/methodology/approach - A questionnaire was distributed to the Jeju Island residents and 373 samples were used for the analysis. Findings - The results showed that the perceived positive impact of tourism development has a positive effect on local residents' support, while the negative impact has a negative effect. Local attachment has no significant effect on local residents' support, while local involvement positively affects local residents' support. The positive impact of tourism development has a negative effect on pro-environmental behavior intention, while the perceived negative impact has a positive effect. Finally, when analyzing the relationship between local attachment, local involvement, and local support for eco-friendly behavior intention, it was found that they all have a positive effect. Research implications or Originality - Theoretical and managerial implications and suggestions for future research are discussed.

내재적 학습동기가 국어수행에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지지의 조절효과 (Effect of Intrinsic Learning Motivation on Korean Language Performance: Moderating Effect of Social Support)

  • 내재적 학습동기와 사회적 지지가 아동 청소년의 적응과 학업에 중요한 역할을 한다는 연구는 다수 존재한다. 그러나 초등학생을 대상으로 실제 학업적 수행을 측정하여 내재적 학습동기와 사회적 지지의 영향을 살펴본 연구는 드문 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생들에게 내재적 학습동기가 국어수행에 미치는 영향과 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 지방 군단위 지역의 초등학교 5, 6학년 122명을 대상으로 연구가 진행되었다. 내재적 학습동기와 가족 및 교사의 사회적 지지가 측정되고 약 5개월 후 국어시험이 실시되었다. 연구 결과, 국어수행은 내재적 학습동기, 사회적 지지와 유의한 정적상관을 보였고, 학습동기화와 사회적 지지간에도 유의미한 상관을 나타냈다. 통제변인을 넣고 분석한 회귀분석에서도 내재적 학습동기는 국어수행에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 지지의 조절효과는 다중가산조절모델을 통해 가족 지지와 교사 지지로 나누어 분석되었다. 분석 결과, 학습동기화와 가족 지지의 상호작용이 통계적으로 유의하지 않으나 교사 지지는 상호작용이 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 교사 지지의 수준에 따른 단순회귀선의 유의성 검증 결과 교사 지지가 높을 때는 학생의 학습동기 수준과 관계없이 국어수행이 높게 나타났으나 교사 지지가 낮은 수준일 때는 학생의 학습동기에 따라 가파른 기울기를 보이며 국어수행의 변화가 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 시사점, 제한점, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

  • This study aimed to explore the moderating effect of social support resources on the life satisfaction and caregiving burden of family caregivers taking care of the elderly in long-term care services. The study participants were selected from among the family caregivers utilizing 30 home care centers in Seoul, Korea. Of the candidates who agreed to participate in the study, 250 caregivers who had supported the elderly at home for at least 6 months were selected. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS ver. 21.0. The study findings were as follows. First, the whole family caregivers' caregiving burden of family caregivers was found to be slightly higher than the median value. More specifically, the physical burden was the heaviest, followed by the family relationship burden, the social activity burden, the emotional burden, and the financial burden. Social support resources and life satisfaction were found to be a little bit higher than the median value. Second, the variables that statistically significantly increased life satisfaction, starting with the strongest effect, were a lower psycho emotional burden, greater informational support resources, a lower economical burden, greater emotional support, a younger caregiver age, a higher monthly income, and a shorter care period. Third, informational support resources were found to have a moderating effect on the relationship between the support burden and life satisfaction. The more the participants used the informational support resource subcategory of the social support resources, the narrower the life satisfaction decrease, even though the caregivers felt a support burden. Informational support resources appear to have a statistically significant buffering effect.

호텔컨벤션 직원의 조직후원인식이 임파워먼트 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Effectiveness of Hotel Convention Employee's Perceived Organizational Support on Empowerment and Organizational Commitment)

  • 본 연구는 사회적 교환 관계의 관점에서 호텔컨벤션 직원이 인지하는 조직후원인식이 임파워먼트 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 호텔컨벤션 직원이 인식하는 조직후원인식이 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향에서 가설1-1과 가설1-2를 검증한 결과, 수단적 후원은 의미감 및 역량에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 수단적 후원은 영향력에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편 가설1-3과 가설1-4를 검증한 결과, 정서적 후원은 의미감 및 역량 요인과 영향력 요인 모두에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 임파워먼트가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에서 가설2를 검증한 결과, 임파워먼트의 하위개념인 의미감 및 역량 요인과 영향력 요인이 조직몰입에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 가설3을 검증한 결과, 수단적 후원은 조직몰입에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 반면, 정서적 후원은 조직몰입에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

사회적지지가 남녀청소년의 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 삶의 만족도의 매개효과 (The Effect of Social Support on Adolescents' School-Related Adjustments: The Mediation Effect of Life Satisfaction)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments of adolescents. The participants were 260 junior high school students (140 male and 120 female students) from the Seoul area. They completed questionnaires on social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments. The collected data were analyzed using basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and a multiple regression analysis. Baron and Kenny's method was used and examined, and the Sobel test was performed to determine the mediating model's significance. It was adapted to SPSS ver. 19.0 for Windows. The major findings were as follows: first, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustment. Second, the adolescents' life satisfaction was also positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustments. In addition, social support was positively correlated with life satisfaction. It was further found that the adolescents' life satisfaction tended to play a perfectly/partially mediating role between social support and school-related adjustment; that is, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was shown to have not only a direct effect, but also an indirect effect through the adolescents' life satisfaction, on the school-related adjustments. These results clearly indicated that adolescents' life satisfaction plays a crucial role in the relationship between social support and the adolescents' school-related adjustments.

민원담당 공무원의 감정노동이 심리적 소진에 미치는 영향 - 사회적 지지와 지각된 스트레스의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (The Effect of Emotional Labor on Psychological Exhaustion of Civil Affairs Officials - Focused on the Mediation Effect of Family and Social Support and Perceived Stress -)

  • 본 연구는 민원담당 공무원의 감정노동이 사회적 지지와 지각된 스트레스를 매개로 심리적 소진에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 구조적 관계를 살펴보고, 매개효과를 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 그 결과, 첫째, 민원담당 공무원의 감정노동은 사회적 지지, 지각된 스트레스, 심리적 소진에 정적(+) 영향을 미치고, 사회적 지지는 심리적 소진에 유의한 부적(-) 영향을 미치고 있었다. 지각된 스트레스는 심리적 소진에 정적(+) 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 민원담당 공무원의 감정노동과 심리적 소진과의 관계에서 사회적 지지와 지각된 스트레스의 매개효과를 검증결과 부분매개효과가 확인되었다. 개입전략을 효과적으로 수립하기 위해서는 먼저, 매개변인으로 확인된 사회적 지지 강화와 지각된 스트레스의 감소 촉구에 우선적으로 개입하고 적극적으로 개선할 것을 제언한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to look at the mediating effect of social support and interests on the relationship between characteristics of agricultural education program and word of mouth intentions. As a results of analysis of structural model, first, social support had a mediating effect on the relationship between characteristics of agricultural education program and word of mouth intentions. Second, interests had a mediating effect on the relationship between characteristics of agricultural education program and word of mouth intentions. The results highlight the importance of promoting social support and individuals' interests on the agricultural education program to increase the word of intention for agricultural education program. This eventually leads the revitalization and development of agricultural education.
