  • In this study, 46 patients from a local hemodialysis center were enrolled to assess the effects of a self-motivated virtual reality (VR) exercise program on the heart rate variability and quality of life control in hemodialysis patients. The VR group (n = 23) completed a VR exercise program, where the subjects performed the exercise 40 min per session, 3 sessions per week, for 8weeks. After the exercise program, the heart rate variability and quality of life were measured. The VR group showed significant improvement in the heart rate variability and quality of life. The self-motivated VR exercise program provided both the role of supervisor as well as feedback, which is important for hemodialysis patients. Therefore, a self-motivated VR exercise program may be a useful tool for improving the psychosocial function in chronic disease patients undergoing hemodialysis.

  • Eventually so as to realize the construction safety, 1 found out the cause of accident and specificities of the construction industry. This study presented to several situations and problems on construction safety. As a result of this study, the below matters must be improved for more effective the construction safety management system. 1. It need to introduce the total construction safety management system. Because there is not effectiveness in the current safety management to the first on the construction field. a. We must consider the safety in the whole parts of the process of the construction and constructors of each part must devide responsibility of the construction safety as a CDM(The Construction Designed Management) used in UK. b. It is desirable to proceed control of safety in the whole parts of the construction to introduce the total safety coordinator that can consult the matters of safety as a law accepted in EU. c. Like management of the construction safety in USA, direction of the construction safety must be made to work exactly by code or manual. d. To improve the organization of the construction safety on the construction field unefficient, it must be introduced safety supervisor, safety coordinator or institutionalization of safety consultant. 2. The law of the construction safety not only have wasteful element but also decrease efficiency by overlapping of regulation, The Ministry of Labour and The Ministry of Construction & Transportation, So laws related with safety must be instituted. a. To realize total safety management, The Ministry of Labour must legislate the basic law about safety management in whole field. b. To legislate the construction safety under one law, and improve efficiency of the overlapping of regulation and the similar law by The Ministry of Construction & Transportation. c. It must be made the law of construction safety that can proper to change of situation in construction. d. • The study aimed to investigate the influence of perceived patient safety culture on patient safety management activity in the dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 292 dental hygienists in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido from March 1 to April 8, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (9 items), patient safety culture (44 items), and patient safety management activity (25 items) by Likert 5 point scale. Data were analyzed by t test, one way ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression test, and post-hoc Tukey test using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The perceived patient safety culture was 3.50 on average. Entire organization was the highest score (3.68) and followed the communication process (3.55), the environment of work unit (3.47), the attitude of supervisor/manager (3.45), and the frequency of events reported (2.98). The average of patient safety management activity was 3.71. As for the factors of patient safety culture on patient safety management activity, communication process was the most influential factor (${\beta}=0.268$), and followed the entire organization (${\beta}=0.265$), the environment of work unit (${\beta} =0.166$), the frequency of events reported (${\beta}=0.104$), and among the control variables. Work place proved to be the only significant variable. Conclusions: In order to promote patient safety management activity of dental institutions, the patient safety culture should be created and established. The influence of communication process and patient safety culture at entire organization level was huge. So the environment of work unit and the perceived patient safety culture in the process of reported events were influencing factors. The strategy for patient safety management activity should be considered because of low level of perceived patient safety culture.

  • In Korean construction industry, a public sector's ordering volume has been constantly increased after 2000. But, because a cost, schedule and quality control generally depends on a result-centric management form and a transparent management is not done during the construction in the Korean public business, it is recognized that this causes problems including an increase of cost and schedule, incomplete construction, a difficulty to find the problem in advance to establish measures, and an unclear locus of responsibility of constructor, supervisor and designer. Accordingly, this study is intended to derive the problems and the limit of management by identifying and analyzing the management state of the present government construction client for the client organization of public sector's government construction. Also, the study is intended to contribute to the client's efficient and actual project management by presenting the model of supplementing or improving the derived problem and limits to the client's organization.

  • This study examined the effect of behavior on leader' s impersonal behavior and organizational members 'semi - productive task and the moderating effect of organizational support perception. As a result of conducting a questionnaire survey on SMEs of auto parts industry in Chungnam, Sejong, and Daejeon, the non-personality behaviors of the top leaders had a significant effect on the non-personality behaviors of the middle leaders (p <.001, ${\beta}=.910$). The results of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between the leader and the supervisor was significantly influenced by the non-personality behaviors. In addition, higher leaders have a moderating effect on negative behaviors and semi-productive task behaviors toward the organization of members. The control effect of semi - productive task behavior was confirmed. The results of this study provide suggestions for reducing economic loss and social loss due to semi-productive task behavior of organizational members by revealing the phenomenon of non-personality behavior of middle leader to non-personality behavior of upper leader.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between job strains and absenteeism from work. Methods : The study design was cross-sectional, and the study subjects consisted of 1,166 workers who were employed in the small-sized industries. A self administered questionnaire was used to measure the general characteristics, job characteristics(job demand, job control), and social support(coworker support, supervisor support) at work. The Job Content Questionnaire(JCQ) was used to assess job demand(2 items) and decision lattitude(10 items). Social support at work (10 items) was measured using JCQ. Sick absence was collected using self-report and were rechecked by the attendance record of their company. Odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for the association between job strain and sick absence were estimated. The modifying effect of social support was evaluated by stratification. Logistic regression was used to estimate the relationship between job strain and sick absence. Results : In the bivariate analysis, the variables related to sick absence were age, marital status, occupation, job demand. Four distinctly different kinds of level of job strain were generated by the combination of job demand and job control: low strain group, high strain group, active group, and passive group. The crude odds ratio of high job strain was 1.78(95% CI: 1.26-2.53), and those of active group and passive group were 1.33(95% CI: 1.07-1.66) and 1.13 (95% CI: 0.88-1.47), respectively. The odds ratio of high job strain after adjusting for age and occupation were still significant The odds ratio of high job strain in low social support was 5.96(95% CI: 2.45-14.51), but that in high social support was 0.73(95% CI: 0.26-2.01). Conclusions : Job strain was associated with increased risk of absenteeism from work, and social support at work modified the association between job strain and sick absence.
