Although starting a business plays a key role in strengthening national competitiveness and creating jobs, it is recognized as a risky choice. Failure to start a business can result in a wide range of negative effects, such as loss of personal wealth as well as deterioration of national competitiveness. This study considers startups that have reached a level of sustainable growth by achieving performance above the minimum profitability and sales standards for KOSDAQ listing, or achieved EXIT through sale or listing, as successful startups. based on the practical experiences of 23 successful entrepreneurs and Based on perception, the importance and priorities of startup success factors were derived through stratification analysis (Analytic Hierarchy Process, AHP), and interviews were conducted. In particular, using the ERIS model, we comprehensively analyze various variables of a start-up by considering the four elements of the entrepreneur, resources, industry, and strategy, and examine the changes and importance of success factors according to the characteristics of each growth stage of the start-up. As a goal, we specifically identified the challenges and opportunities faced by entrepreneurs at each stage. As a result of the study, the order of importance of the top factors of success factors in the start-up period was found to be the entrepreneur, resources, industry, and strategy. In particular, the importance of the entrepreneur's entrepreneurship spirit, special capabilities, general capabilities, and human resources was emphasized. The order of importance of the top factors of success factors during the growth period was found in the following order: entrepreneur, resources, industry, and strategy. This study is significant in that it analyzes startup success factors from the perspective of successful entrepreneurs and provides useful insights and directions to entrepreneurs and policy makers.
Seoul Fashion Week aims to be the world’s fifth Fashion Week from the year after 2000. This has involved significant labour and investment, not all of which has been successful. This study analyses the strengths and weaknesses of SFW based on the London Fashion Week as a successful model. By identifying its obvious and less obvious characteristics, this analysis aims to diagnose SFW’s current status in order to upgrade the event at an international level. Key factors are organisational body, designers, visitors, sponsors, schedule, venue, main events and supportive events. The following points have emerged from the research: the success of Seoul Fashion Week was based on the combination of separate collections, an appropriate fashion show venue, and the active role of new designers. The problems were: lack of an independent organisation, non-professional staff, lack of diverse visitors, exclusive governmental funding, late timing, excessive distance from the main European and American fashion markets, lack of sustainability of the main events, a limited variety of supportive events, the absence of online promotion and, last but not least, no distinctive features. The study concludes that Seoul Fashion Week has great potential with its fast growth and young designers. This should be complemented with an independent organisation and effective administration and strategy.
This study examined individual characteristic factors and environmental factors as determinants of entrepreneurial intentions. As for individual characteristic factors, individuals' career orientations and entrepreneurial self-efficacy were examined. As for environmental factors, social supports and successful role models, classified as personal environmental factors, were examined, and social perceptions for entrepreneurs, classified as social environmental factors were also examined. Data were collected from undergraduates of business department, and graduates of the same department. The samples of 208 and 81 for each group were used for final analysis. Results showed that as a whole, career orientations affected entrepreneurial intentions. Specifically, entrepreneurial orientations had positive effects, and security orientations had marginally negative effects on entrepreneurial intentions, while, unexpectedly, autonomy orientations had no significant effects. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy had the strongest positive effects on entrepreneurial intentions. Social supports and successful role models, which were not identified as distinct variables by the respondents, were integrated as a new variable of 'network environments' for analysis in this study. Network environments positively affected on entrepreneurial intentions. Social perceptions for entrepreneurs, however, did not affect on entrepreneurial intentions. Based on the results of career orientations, self-efficacy, and network environment, the implications for activating entrepreneurship were discussed.

The study aims to anticipate evolution direction of mobile content business in the future, and derive successful strategies at the same time with multiple and composite analysis of evolution process and environmental change of mobile business. In conclusion, Firstly, it should strengthen customer approach performance, secondly, approaches with sensitively, and needs opened business model. Fourthly, it needs planning and production of contents which reflects the need of customers, and fifthly, it requires development of mobile platform leading contents group and multiplication of CP business model. In the aspect of industrial policy, sustainable and future-oriented policy should be arranged rather than short-term and simple police, for the continual development of mobile content industry. To establish healthy and active mobile contents industry, the government and regulatory institutes are more preferable to devote to the role of circumstance builder rather than the leader of mobile content market. In other words, they are recommended to focus on establishing basic regulation and order for smooth operation of the market and its management.

There are not enough information and service in current e-government practice because it only relier on text based information services. To make e-government more attractive and successful, scope of information and service should be broaden. To do so, GIS is necessary in the development process of e-government. This paper aims at exploring theories and technologies related to e-government and suggesting strategies for developing GIS based local e-government. In this paper, we particularly pay attention to the role of GIS for local e-government. Since many of local government data has spatial components, we believe that GIS would play a crucial role in developing local e-government. Thus, this paper tries to examine how GIS contribute to successful implementation of e-government. Then, it attempts to build a developmental model for GIS based e-government. Finally, it suggests strategies and policy measures for each development stage.
Purpose: This study examines the opportunism moderating effect by the startup experience in the relationship between franchisor and franchisees. In the case of a franchise system that has a continuous relational exchange transaction, relationship management is a very important activity because the relationship management between franchisor and franchisees improves the quality of the relationship. Nevertheless, there is insufficient of research on opportunism, which is a negative factor in managing the relationship between franchisor and franchisees in continuous relationship. Research design, data and methodology: This study, we explore the cause of opportunism based on transaction cost theory through prior research and establish a research model based by goal incongruity, uncertainty, information asymmetry, transaction specific assets, the relevance to determinant of opportunism and the startup experienced which is a moderating variable. To verify several hypotheses, the data were collected from 300 out of 1,760 domestic franchisees and analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS program. Results: The findings are as follows. Goal incongruity did not affect opportunism. Opportunism increased as uncertainty increased, and as information asymmetry increased, opportunism increased. An opportunism decreased as transaction specific assets increased. Moreover, the findings show that startup experience only plays a moderating role in the relationship between information asymmetry and opportunism. Therefore, 4 out of 8 hypotheses were supported. Conclusions: The findings show that uncertainty, information asymmetry, and transaction specific assets are the determinants of opportunism. In addition, the results of the analysis of the moderating role of startup experience show that the less entrepreneurial experience, the greater the influence of information asymmetry on opportunism. Our findings mean that maintaining a successful relationship between franchisors and franchisees is possible when franchisors provide knowledge sharing, goal sharing, environmental sharing, and management information sharing to franchisees. In addition, the findings of this study shows that the contract content and management should be changed according to the entrepreneurial experience. In other words, the franchisors must share and integrate the accumulated franchisees' and franchisors' experience with the franchisees to create a synergy that can lead to successful bilateral relationship maintenance, which in turn reduces opportunism.

Given the growing expectations on the value and application of mobile office, we need to understand the factors which affect its successful use and implementation. We in this paper present a parsimonious model which integrates the IS success model and the TAM. The main feature of the model is that it allows one to explore the role of mobility of mobile office systems in determining the level of system usage and dependence. Although mobility is the key property of any mobile system, there is little research effort exerted to understand how mobility affects the traditional IS factors such as perceived ease of use and usefulness. In addition to the system usage, this model also uses dependence as the dependent variable. This is expected to provide richer understanding of the study context. We collected survey data from 1,614 field service workers of a major domestic electronic company. They use PDAs to retrieve information regarding the specifics of the customer service requests and to report what has been done for each service job. The results from SEM analysis show that mobility improves the perceived ease of use which then leads the field service workers to depend more on the PDA systems. Interestingly enough, however, the workers’ satisfaction does not cause more frequent use of the system.

Private financing is playing an increasing role in public infrastructure construction projects worldwide. However, private investors/operators are exposed to the financial risk of low profitability due to the inaccurate estimation of facility demand, operation income, maintenance costs, etc. From the operator's perspective, a sound and thorough financial feasibility study is required to establish the appropriate capital structure of a project. Operators tend to reduce the equity amount to minimize the level of risk exposure, while creditors persist to raise it, in an attempt to secure a sufficient level of financial involvement from the operators. Therefore, it is important for creditors and operators to reach an agreement for a balanced capital structure that synthetically considers both profitability and repayment capacity. This paper presents an optimal capital structure model for successful private infrastructure investment. This model finds the optimized point where the profitability is balanced with the repayment capacity, with the use of the concept of utility function and multi-objective GA (Generic Algorithm)-based optimization. A case study is presented to show the validity of the model and its verification. The research conclusions provide a proper capital structure for privately-financed infrastructure projects through a proposed multi-objective model.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting satisfaction as well as the intention of Gen Z customers to reorder food online in the context of a crisis. Research design, data and methodology: Data for this cross-sectional study were collected via the Internet by conducting an online survey of 652 Gen Z respondents, aged 15-25, in the south of Vietnam and using a convenience sampling method. To analyse the reliability of the scales, SPSS was used to run Cronbach's alpha. Then, SmartPLS was used to assess the measurement model, including variable reliability and validity, convergent validity, and discriminant validity of the proposed model, as well as test the hypotheses with partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Results: Social influence, price value, and convenience all have a positive effect on satisfaction and repurchase intention. Satisfaction not only plays a critical role in mediating the relationship between social influence, price value, convenience and repurchase intention but also has a positive impact on repurchase intention towards buying food online. Conclusions: This study was successful in identifying the factors of repurchase intention in a crisis setting among Gen Z customers by developing a theoretical research model via literature to complete a brief Theory of Planned Behaviour model. This study also took an innovative approach to earlier ones by demonstrating not just the significant effect of social influence on satisfaction and repurchase intention, but also by identifying critical variables that managers should focus on increasing and improving management.
The purpose of the study was to qualitatively analyze how entrepreneurs would succeed in business from the consumer perspective of entrepreneurial. In particularly, this study understood what has made the entrepreneurs do their own business, learning contextual and mediating conditions. In order to achieve the research goals, the study conducted in-depth interviews to a total of 11 entrepreneurs and based on data from the interviews, carried out a grounded theory analysis. According to the results, the successful entrepreneurship process paradigm model from the consumer perspective of entrepreneurial was observed with some central phenomenon, 'change of course', via casual circumstances as 'self-realization' and 'material value realization.' For the contextual conditions, there found 'anxiety for survival', 'organic motive', 'confidence in a market' and 'relational role element' as well. The interaction strategies consisted of 'internal capability improvement', 'internal and external activity directivity growth' and 'marketability judgement ability.' The mediating conditions were observed to be 'strategic cognition improvement' and 'growing of desire to succeed'. The analysis results reported that there were two different aspects as 'increase of stable dailiness' and 'productivity enlargement'. In terms of the core category, it was 'securing of stable dailiness and competitiveness in the market as well by developing characteristics and abilities of an individual for the life value realization.' Those results confirmed that once pleasure and satisfaction in daily life increase, the confidence of the entrepreneurs improves too, which would encourage them to continue the business.
