  • The provincial education office considers providing school lunch as a foodservice and intends to improve consumer satisfaction. This study investigates the effect of student food habits and perceived food quality on satisfaction with school lunch based on Oliver's expectancy disconfirmation theory. We test the moderating effect of student gender and school conditions, such as the location of the school, job positon of the nutrition teacher, renovating kitchen and food distributing place. Questionnaires were collected from 240 sixth graders in the eight elementary schools in Gyeonggi province from August to September 2014. Excluding inadequate questionnaires, 208 were analyzed. PLS (Partial Least Square) and bootstrap t-tests were conducted for this study. The results showed food habits affected satisfaction directly (p<0.01). The perceived food quality of the school lunch service mediated this relationship in part (p<0.01). Moderating effects identified were gender (p<0.1), nutrition teacher's position(p<0.05), and renovating kitchen (p<0.1), but not location of school or distributing place. The study revealed the importance of student food habits and perceived food quality, which had an influence on satisfaction. We make a distinction between the concepts of satisfaction and quality so as to improve student satisfaction. When it comes to offering education program about food habits, the schools with old-fashion kitchen is given priority to than renovating one.

  • In spite of many studies of The Korean Association of College of Pharmacy for improvement of the Korean pharmacy education and decrearing to change 4 year curriculum for pharmacy education to 6year curriculum from 1998 by The Ministry of Health and Wellfaire, there are many problems right now in view of the student-oriented education in front of the revolution program of The Ministry of Education. So the student-oriented reformation for pharmacy education in Korea was studied not only by observations of worldwide pharmacy education and pharmacy system, but also by 416 questionaires from many kinds of man and women such as pharmacists in drug store and hospital(159), administraters of The Ministry of Health and Wellfaire (59), professors in college of pharmacy (65), researchers in pharmaceutical company (31) and seniors in college of pharmacy(102).It shows that our Korean pharmacy education was a type of teacher-oriented education which is caused by the short time-education, a lots of subjects in the examination for pharmacy license and egoism of professors for their subjects, and so our teacher-oriented education have to change to the student-oriented education for the most function of pharmacist which is the pharmaceutical care for patients. For the preparing the clerkship/externship for one year, we have to change 4 year curriculum to 6 year curriculum for clinical pharmacy edu-cation, and also subjects of pharmacy in the national examination for pharmacy liciense have to reduce within 3-4 subjects of totally non-subject examination. The Korean Association of Collage of Pharmacy of Pan-pharmaceutical Revolution Association must purchase them and their program can be begun right now in spite of loss of the pharmacist supplement for 2 year and preparing the program of 6 years curriculum. Our teaching purposes of departments of pharmacy and manufacturing pharmacy were respectively clinical pharmacy, and development of new drug and compounding of many kinds of commercial drugs, but we have been not gone to their goals, respectively, because of short time-education for pharmacy as compared as world-wide pharmacy education containing the clerkship/externship and same twelve subjects in their examination for pharmacy license. Most function of pharmacist in Korea are the development of new drug, and social and administrative pharmacy in health care for patients, and so we have to teach them in the department of maunfacturing pharmacy.

  • The construction of the students knowledge in e-Learning systems, namely the student modeling, is a core component used to develop e-Learning systems. However, existing e-Learning systems have many problems to share the knowledge in a heterogeneous student model and a distributed knowledge base. Because the methods of the knowledge representation are different in each e-Learning systems, the accumulated knowledge cannot be used or shared without a great deal of difficulty. In order to share this knowledge, existing systems must reconstruct the knowledge bases. Consequently, we propose a new a Case Markup Language based on XML in order to overcome these problems. A distributed e-Learning systems fan have the advantage of easily sharing and managing the heterogeneous knowledge base proposed by CaseML. Moreover students can generate and share a case knowledge to use the communication protocol of agents. In this paper, we have designed and developed a CaseML by using a knowledge markup language. Furthermore, in order to construct an intelligent e-Learning systems, we have done our research based on the design and development of the intelligent agent system by using CaseML.

  • When participating in problem-based learning (PBL), it is important for medical students to generate claims and provide justifications for their claims in small group discussions. This study aimed to investigate the effect of argumentation instruction on medical student learning experiences with PBL. A total of one hundred first-year preclinical students from Inje University College of Medicine, who had attended argumentation instruction, participated in this study. All of the participants completed a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire regarding their learning experiences with PBL, before and after the argumentation instruction. The questionnaire comprised 22 items with eight subcategories: argumentation activity, reflection, integration of basic and clinical science, identification of lack of knowledge, logical thinking, self-directed study, communication, and attitude toward discussion. The collected data were analyzed through a paired-sample t-test. The results of this study found that the argumentation instruction promoted the preclinical students' experiences with argumentation activities, reflection, an integration of basic and clinical science, the identification of their lack of knowledge, logical thinking, and self-directed study, and it increased positive attitudes toward group discussion. The findings suggest argumentation instruction can enhance medical student group discussions and help students achieve the objectives of PBL, including acquisition of basic and clinical science knowledge and development of clinical reasoning and self-directed learning abilities, which can highlight the meaningful learning experiences students have with PBL.

  • This study. aimed to categorize attitude of smoking behaviors among female student smokers and to provide useful data for development of anti-smoking programs was conducted from Aug. 22 to Nov. 1. using the Q-method. After reviewing the literature the researcher proceeded to interview 10 female students, then developed a statement form consisting of 40 items, and then 30 female student smokers were sampled. The collected data were coded after having been scaled from 1 to 9 points, and analyzed using the PC QUANL program. Three types were identified; The first type focused on the right of the individual to smoke. the second type of students used smoking as a way to relieve their stress, and the third type of students wanted to use smoking as a tool to relate with their peer group. They smoked in closed areas, i.e. rest rooms. coffee shops - places that are not well ventilated and deep inhalation occurs. most subjects of the study started smocking at early ages(the average age was 17). Smoking at this age is especially harmful. It is suggested that the results of the study may be useful for designing anti-smoking health programs including health promotion.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parent-adolescent relationship and marital conflict perceived by adolescents on peer victimization. The subjects were 353 middle school students selected from two middle schools in the Incheon area. The instruments of research included the peer victimization index, the parenting behavior index, the parent-adolescent communication index, and the marital conflict inventory. The statistics used for this data were t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. This study showed that middle school student's peer victimization was influenced significantly by the gender. Correlation analysis indicated that parenting behavior and peer victimization were significantly correlated. That is, oppressive, over protective and/or permissive attitudes of the parent were positively correlated with peer victimization. Intimacy and reasonable attitude were negatively correlated with middle school student's peer victimization. Also, parent-adolescent communication and peer victimization were significantly correlated. Especially, open communication was negatively correlated with peer victimization while problematic communication was positively correlated with peer victimization. Marital conflict perceived by adolescents was positively correlated with peer victimization. It was also found that gender, oppressive attitude, permissive attitude, open communication, and marital conflict were significant predictors of middle school student's peer victimization.

  • Algorithm education is emphasized as an instrument for teaching the basic principles of Computer Science. But these materials is very short-fall. We'll present the CS Unplugged-based algorithm contents, which is easy to learn for elementary student. These contents for self-directed learning consisted of the activity-based learning. For problem-solving algorithm learning in everyday life we were developed the hashing techniques on the basis of the basic searching and sorting algorithms. For checking the adequacy of these materials were tested by surveys of teacher professional groups, and we obtain the appropriate conclusions for sorting algorithm contents for improving the problem-solving ability for in elementary student.

  • Recently, the interest in Accreditation of Engineering Education, which aims at facilitating the development of engineering education and producing the high calibre of graduates in engineering schools, is increasing. The accreditation requires the students to prepare a portfolio which shows the educational achievements from all courses at the university. In the portfolio, educational activities and outputs of the student are included as a part of the achievements. Particularly, in the portfolio of design-related courses, outputs of the design the student has made until the graduation are accumulated. The outputs enable others to measure the design capability of the student and can be used as important reference materials when applying for employment or graduate school. In this paper, I propose a format of the portfolio for practical exercise courses, engineering design, and undergraduate design and explain the ways of the utilization of the portfolio.
