Document management system is a tool, based on the document life cycle concept, for structured management of various documents within an organization. In this paper, we address a development process of document management system based on SGML. We have developed a document management system which can support a variety of types in documents such as informal data, HTML, CGI and so on. Using the developed system, users can access documents in the system through an internet browser, and also add or modify existing documents.

The electrooptic characteristics of 32-inch multichannel-structured, mercury-type flat fluorescent lamps have been investigated in detail. The luminance and the lamp current/voltage have been monitored by changing the driving conditions such as duty ratio, backlight conditions. It was found that the efficiency became the maximum at the duty ratio of 50 % with a nearby metal plate.

In this paper, a stage-structured predator prey model (stage structure on prey) with two discrete time delays has been discussed. The two discrete time delays occur due to maturation delay and gestation delay. Linear stability analysis for both non-delay as well as with delays reveals that certain thresholds have to be maintained for coexistence. Numerical simulation shows that the system exhibits Hopf bifurcation, resulting in a stable limit cycle.

A field reconstruction scheme for a cell centered finite volume method on unstructured meshes is developed. Regardless of mesh quality, this method is exact within a machine accuracy if the solution is linear, which means it has full second order accuracy. It does not have any limitation on cell shape except convexity of the cells and recovers standard discretization stencils at structured orthogonal grids. Accuracy comparisons with other popular reconstruction schemes are performed on a simple example.

The paper discusses the problem of controlling systems with a very high number of input variables effectively by fuzzy If . . . then rules. The basic idea is the partition of the state space into domains, which step can be done even iteratively several times, and every domain has its own sub rule base referring to a considerably lower number of variables than the original space. In this manner the number of necessary rules is drastically reduced and time complexity of the control algorithm remains acceptable.

The purpose of the study was to investigate relationships among life satisfaction of the elderly in poor health conditions, their self esteem, health and financial status, family relationships, and social participation. A structured questionnaire was used to interview 228 elderly who were randomly selected from Sungbuk-ku, Seoul. The regression analysis showed the most powerful predictors of life satisfaction of the poor-health elderly were self esteem, relationships with their adult children, perceived financial status, relationships with grandchildren, and the amount of allowances in that order These variables accounted for 39% of life satisfaction of the sample.

During the past few years, the productivity has been considered as one of the most important aims in developing softwares. Many practitioners and theorists are trying reuse ready made codes to increase the productivity of software development and the quality of their products. This paper introduces our experiences in developing a highly reusable class library and its reusing environment for building a database interface application. And the concepts, Structured Multi-Library and Dual Views of Class Inheritance, are also suggested, which consist our main conceptual framework in our work. Details in implementation are discussed in brief at the end.
