A Study on the Shopping Life through Mobile Visual Search

  • Purpose - To examine the influence of mobile visual search as a strategic technology service on consumer perceived economic value and customer commitments, which in turn affect consumer's usage intention of mobile visual search. This study also explores the moderating effect of different levels of consumer online shopping orientation. Design/methodology/approach - One-by-one open-ended in-depth interview was first undertaken to 15 Korean consumers to figure the features of mobile visual search. Then a conceptual model was built to verify the hypotheses that indicate the impact of mobile visual search on consumer perceived economic value and customer commitment, which further influence consumer's usage intention. Findings - The results show Convenience, Information quality, Personalization, Text-free search interface design and Visual communication of mobile visual search positively influence consumer perceived economic value and customer commitment and in turn positively affect consumer's usage intention. Moreover, the different levels of consumer online shopping orientation also found to have different effects on consumers' perception and behavior of using mobile visual search in online fashion shopping. Research implications or Originality - The present study verified that mobile visual search is a service tool that consumers want to use in the online fashion shopping journey since it provides economic benefits.

Investigating the Process of Developing and Retaining Competent IT Personnel: The Role of IT Leadership

  • Given the critical role of information technology (IT) in achieving organizations' strategic goals, it becomes increasingly important for organizations to develop and retain a competent IT workforce. We investigate how organizations make IT personnel feel content with their job, motivate them to perform at their best, and consequently retain them. We develop a model in which IT leadership, conceptualized as "transformational" and "transactional" IT leader behaviors, influences IT personnel's perceptions of requisite soft skills and IT personnel's Quality-of-Work-Life (QWL), and how IT personnel's QWL in turn affects IT personnel's intention to stay. Using survey data from 205 IT professionals, we found that IT leadership behaviors, particularly transformational leadership behaviors, positively influence IT personnel's intention to stay. We also found that this relationship is fully mediated by IT personnel's QWL. In addition, we found that transformational leadership behaviors positively influence IT personnel's perceptions of requisite soft skills. We discuss the implications of our findings for theory and practice.

Advantages of the Wellness Tourism and its Future Implications

  • Purpose: The current research has investigated the question of how wellness tourism can be optimized to serve the diverse needs of its participants better while ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth. It will help design and implement better health and tourism policies to improve health and tourism policies to improve societies and economies. Research design, data and methodology: This research adopts a systematic literature review approach in collecting and synthesizing previous research works contained in the study to develop the result discussed in the next section. This review adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) checklist. Results: The findings of this research have indicated total of four brief suggestions to answer the research question, such as (1) Integration of Health and Wellness Programs in Mainstream Tourism, (2) Economic Revitalization of Rural and Underdeveloped Areas, (3) Enhancement of Public Health through Preventive Wellness, (4) Promotion of Sustainable Tourism Practices. Conclusions: Finally, this research concludes that incorporating health and wellness programs into mainstream tourism is a strategic focal area in hospitality practice. By raising the stakes in, for example, physical activities, beauty treatments, healthy meals, and mental health sessions, old-fashioned hotels or resorts can broaden their client base.

  • This study used the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology(UTAUT) model to find factors that influence consumer acceptance intention toward Vertiport, a physical ground support technology required to implement AAM services. The analysis showed that among the four independent variables, Vertiport's social influence and facilitating conditions have a significant impact on future Vertiport usage behavior. At this point, the public has not yet had actual experience with Vertiport, so there is a limitation of considering it as a future concept based on speculation and measuring acceptance by actual behaviors related to its use (inquiries, information gathering, interest, etc.). Research on acceptance and attitudes toward new transportation methods should be further activated and developed along with future service development. Through the results of this study, we aim to understand the initial public acceptance of Vertiport as a ground-based infrastructure in the AAM field (or UAM) and propose strategic implications for the direction of service development.

인플루언서 및 콘텐츠 특성이 소비자 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 몽골 소비자를 중심으로 (The Effect of Influencer and Contents Characteristics on Purchase Intention: Focusing on Mongolian Consumers)

  • Purpose - Due to the spread of COVID-19, non-face-to-face transactions are widely growing. In particular, the development of streaming and network technology has rapidly grown the one-person broadcasting market, an influencer market using YouTube and Instagram. However, prior research on the influencer in Mogolian market is very scarce. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors influencing consumer purchasing behavior in Mongolian market. Design/methodology/approach - We tested a research model of our study through the analysis using survey data of experienced users in Mongolian influencer market. In this study, reliability test and factor analysis, multiple regression were conducted using SPSS. Findings - We found that the characteristics of an influencer and contents in Mogolian market are positively related with brand reliability and contents authenticity, respectively. In addition, the brand reliability and contents authenticity are positively associated with the customer's purchase intention. Research implications or Originality - Since it is the first study of the influencer market in Mongolia, it is expected that it will serve as a guide study for the follow-up studies in the future and serve as a reference for the strategic direction of related companies.

[Review] The Impact of Character Collaboration Product Characteristics on Brand Awareness and Purchase Intention: Focusing on F&B Products

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of character collaboration product characteristics on brand awareness and purchase intention within the food and beverage (F&B) industry, with a special focus on Generation MZ's growing interest in such products. The methodology involves a comprehensive review of existing literature on character marketing, brand awareness, and consumer purchase intention, supplemented by case studies of successful character collaborations in the F&B sector. The findings reveal that character collaborations significantly impact brand awareness and purchase intentions, particularly among younger consumers like Generation MZ. These collaborations not only rekindle nostalgia but also introduce new and exciting consumer experiences, effectively attracting a wide demographic. The success of character-themed products, from Pokémon bread to Coca-Cola's League of Legends collaboration, underscores the strategy's effectiveness in boosting brand recognition and consumer engagement. The implications of this research are manifold for the F&B industry. Firstly, it highlights the importance of leveraging popular characters to forge emotional connections with consumers. Secondly, it suggests that product development should closely align with consumer preferences and market trends to maximize appeal. Lastly, it positions character collaboration as a strategic marketing tool that not only enhances product sales but also strengthens brand loyalty and facilitates sustained brand growth.

텍스트마이닝을 통한 10년간 소비자 세탁행동 요구의 변화 (A Decade of Shifting Consumer Laundry Needs Through Text Mining Analysis)

  • In recent years, consumer clothing behaviors have undergone significant changes due to global phenomena such as climate change, pandemics, and advances in IT technology. Laundry behaviors closely connected to how consumers handle clothes and their clothing lifecycle have also experienced considerable transformations. However, research on laundry behavior has been limited despite its importance in understanding consumer clothing habits. This study employed text mining analysis of social data spanning the past decade to explore overall trends in consumer laundry behavior, aiming to understand key topics of interest and changes over time. Through LDA topic modeling analysis, nine topics were identified. They were grouped into subjects, targets, methods, and reasons related to laundry. Analyzing relative frequencies of keywords for each topic group revealed evolving consumer laundry behavior in response to societal changes. Over time, laundry behavior showed a dispersal of agents and locations, increased diversification of laundry targets, and a growing interest in various methods and reasons for doing laundry. This research sheds light on the broader context of laundry behavior, offering a more comprehensive understanding of consumer attitudes and perceptions than previous studies. It underscores the significance of laundry as a daily, socio-cultural aspect of our lives. Additionally, this study identifies changing customer values and suggests improvements and strategic branding for laundry services, providing practical implications.

유엔의 재난위험 감소 추진체계 및 전략의 시사점 (Implementation System and Strategic Implications for Disaster Risk Reduction by the United Nations)

  • 이 논문은 한 국가의 재난전략 수립에 영향을 미치는 유엔(UN)의 재난위험 감소 추진체계와 전략을 심도 있게 고찰하고 2000년 이후 유엔이 제시한 재난위험 감소 전략인 효고 행동강령과 센다이 프레임워크에 나타난 재난위험 감소를 위한 글로벌 동향을 파악하는데 초점을 둔다. 논문의 목적은 복수의 국내·외 문헌들을 수집하여 이론적 분석을 시도하고 한 국가의 재난위험 감소 정책에 유의미한 시사점을 도출하여 대안을 제시하는데 있다. 분석의 결과에 따르면 유엔의 재난위험 감소 추진체계는 UNISDR이며 산하에 사무국으로서 UNDRR을 두고 있고 사무국장인 SRSG가 조직을 대표한다. 또한 지난 10년간 재난안전의 글로벌 전략이었던 효고 행동강령을 이은 센다이 프레임워크가 향후 10년간 글로벌 재난안전을 주도할 것이다. 두 전략의 분석에서 도출한 정책적 시사점으로 일관된 국제공조체계의 강조, 복원력의 강화, 그리고 통합적·포괄적 접근의 강조를 제시하고 결론에서 위험요인에 미리 대처하고 충격을 최소화하는 복원력 강화 시스템의 구축과 정부차원의 일관되고 조정된 국제공조 및 협력의 활성화, 대응체계의 신속성을 강화한 재난위험 감소 전략의 수립의 필요성을 제안하였다.

중국의 국방·안보백서 발간의 추이와 함의 (The Trend and Implications of the Publication of China's Defense and Security White Papers)

  • 본 논문은 중국의 국방 안보백서 발간의 추이와 함의를 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 중국의 국방 안보백서의 발간경위 및 구성, 시진핑 시기의 국방 안보백서의 요지와 함의의 순서로 살펴본 후 결론을 도출해 본 것이다. 중국 국방부는 1998년 이후 2010년까지 2년 주기로 7권의 "중국의 국방"을 발간했다. 그리고 중국 국방부는 이미 1995년 국방관련 주제의 백서 "중국의 무기통제와 군축"을 처음 발간한 데 이어, 2013년 "중국 무장역량의 다양한 운용", 2015년 "중국의 군사전략"의 3권의 국방관련백서, 그리고 2017년 "중국의 아시아 태평양 안보협력정책"이라는 1권의 안보백서를 발간했다. 모두 중국의 전략적 계산을 반영한 프로파간다라는 공통적 특징을 지니고 있다. 중국이 전향적으로 국방백서를 발간하기 시작한 데는 (1)미국 등 주변국의 군사적 투명성 요구에 대한 압력, (2)'중국위협론'의 불식, (3)중국의 군사 현대화의 성과에 대한 자신감 등 복합적 요인이 작용한 것으로 보인다. "중국의 꿈은 강국의 꿈이고 강국의 꿈은 강군건설이 필수이다."라는 시진핑의 의지가 담긴 '적극적 방어전략' 및 강대강전략은 주변국에게 안보적 우려감을 증폭시키고 있다. 튼튼한 한 미 안보공조관계를 유지 강화해 나가는 한편, 한중경제협력관계도 조화롭게 추진해 나가는 헤징전략이 우리에게 요구된다.

A Research Analysis of QR code based on big data in Korea

  • 최근에 정보기술과 스마트폰 기술이 빠르게 발달되고 있다. 데이터가 증가함에 따라 빅데이터 시대에 도달하였다. 최근 언택트 시대가 도래함에 따라 QR코드는 우리 생활에서 밀접하게 운영되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, "QR Code"에 대한 선행연구를 살펴보고 분야별 키워드에 대한 분석을 실시한다. 둘째, 빅데이터 관점에서 데이터시각화를 위해 "QR Code"의 빈출키워드를 대상으로 워드클라우드 분석과 네트워크 분석을 실시한다. 셋째, "QR Code" 관련하여 향후 연구자들에게 연구방향을 제시하고자 한다. 분석결과 첫째, 연구동향을 살펴본 결과 연구가 증가추세에 있으며, 분야가 다양하게 활용되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 빈출 키워드 분석결과 전반적으로 유사한 결과가 도출되었으며, 분야별, 연도별에 따라 일부 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 빈출 키워드에 따른 시각화 결과 역시 빈출 키워드 분석결과와 동일하게 분석되었다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이론적 연구결과에 따른 실무적 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 'QR Code'를 기술적인 측면이 아닌 정보전달의 수단으로 연구될 필요가 있다. 둘째, "QR Code"는 사회 경향이나 이슈들을 반영하여 발전하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이론적 시사점과 실무적 시사점을 통해 우리는 QR 코드에 대한 방향성을 전략적으로 제공해주고자 한다.
