  • A speed control system of multiple induction motors is presented in this paper. The system consists of a single CSI, several wound retor type induction motors, and the choppers which control the rotor current of motors. Some performance characteristics are studied, and the closed control loop is suggested.

  • In this study, two magnetic actuator models are chosen to interpret dynamic characteristics. First model has no permanent magnet, on the contrary second has magnet that hold plunger to keep steady state. Both models are dynamically analyzed according to input current, and also compared with spending time and magnetic force at that moving is finished.

  • This paper describes the voltage type PWM converter. Input AC current is to be sinusoidal and AC input voltage is determined by controlling the phase of the source and converter properly. By corresponding the phase of input voltage to that of base current, DC constant voltage Is to be output with high power factor driving. Also it is possible to be leading or lagging power factor driving. Optimum driving is performed by controlling the current instantaneously in the steady state or transient state.

  • From the careful analysis of the transformed dq system equations of a PWM Voltage Source Converter ( PWM - VSC ), a novel voltage control is proposed which is based on the derivative of in-phase current component of line currents and the relation between dc-link voltage and in-phase current component. A simple logical algorithm to implement the proposed scheme is also presented at transient state. The sinusoidal PWM is adopted at steady state. The simulation results show good transient characteristics.

  • It is widely known that ESA(Electric Signature Analysis) method is very useful one for fault diagnosis of an induction motor. Online fault diagnosis system of induction motors using LabVIEW is proposed to detect the fault of broken rotor bars and shorted turns in stator. This system is not model-based system of induction motor but LabVIEW-based fault diagnosis system using FFT spectrum of stator current in faulty motor without estimating of motor parameters. FFT of stator current in faulty induction motor is measured and compared with various reference fault data in data base to diagnose the fault. This paper is focused on to predict and diagnose of the health state of induction motors in steady state. Also, it can be given to motor operator and maintenance team in order to enhance an availability and maintainability of induction motors. Experimental results are demonstrated that the proposed system is very useful to diagnose the fault and to implement the predictive maintenance of induction motors.

  • This paper investigates a PID fuzzy controller for output voltage regulation of a current-doubler-rectified asymmetric half-bridge (CDRAHB) DC/DC converter. The controller is a PD-type fuzzy controller in parallel with a linear integral controller. The PD type fuzzy controller is for providing the varying gain at the different operating conditions to regulate the output voltage. The linear integral controller is for removing the steady-state error of the output voltage. In order to show the outstanding dynamic characteristics of the proposed controller, PSIM simulation studies are carried out and compared to the results for which the conventional loop gain design method is used.

  • A new current control technique for inverter-fed vector controlled induction motor drives is presented. Using a integral variable structure control(IVSC) approach, the current controller is designed in the stationary rotating reference frame. The chattering reduction technique is also considered by the full state flux observer. By employing the proposed control scheme, a good control performance is achieved in the transient and steady state. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is demonstrated through the comparative simulations.

  • The current-fed DC-DC converter has only one energy storage reactor in series with the input for any number of outputs and is insensitive to transformer volt-second unbalance. It is considered that these properties of the converter are considerable advantages over other maltiple-output circuits. The steady-state and dynamic characteristic and stability for the current-fed DC-DC con-verter are analyzed in detail. The analysis is carried out by the state-space averaging method for the operation with the duty ratio less than 50% and is confirmed by the experiment. From the evaluation of stability it is identified that the stability of this converter is excellent as compared with that of the conventional buck type converter.

  • This paper, introduces a Current-fed type High-Frequency Inverter with self turning devices. By replacing Thyrisors used for power source of heat treatment with high speed switching element, MOSFET in current type Inverter, the proposed Inverter makes high speed performance with several 100kHz. This paper also depicts some operating principles of the proposed circuits and general operating characteristics. Steady state solution on state variables in analysis of the proposed circuit is described generally by using normalized parameter and its characteristics depending on separate ratio(n) is also shown.
