This paper investigates the formative features and the historical meaning of the Korean dress collection held in the Horniman Museum in London. The Museum holds eighteen items of Korean dresses donated by Mrs. C. de J. Luxmore in 1948 and by Mrs. Bowra in 1953. Male dresses consist of white silk outer robe (durumagi), a pale violet silk waistcoat (jokki), a jade green silk jacket (jeogori), pale yellow silk trousers (baji), a pair of ankle bands (daenim), a cotton waistband (dae), a silk purse (jumeoni), a rattan under-vest (deungbaeja), a pair of rattan wristlets (deungtosi), a top hat (gat) and a skullcap (tanggeon). Female dresses comprise a jade green silk jacket (jeogori), an ivory silk skirt (chima), a light blue silk petticoat (sokchima), two kinds of white cotton trousers (sokbaji and soksokgot), a pair of silk wristlets (tosi) and a pair of padded socks (beoseon). A Korean dress collection of the Horniman Museum shows a set of ordinary dress items worn by a married couple in the 1930s and the 1940s. Of these items, a silk petticoat (sokchima) and a rattan under-vest (deungbaeja) can be highly evaluated as object resources in the history of Korean dress. The petticoat is a rare and valuable example that represents an early type of modern petticoat that has replaced a traditional petticoat (dansokgot). The rattan under-vest has square neckline and two tiny sleeves similar to a Western cap sleeve. This kind of under-vest is a transitional form shown between under-vest similar to the Korean waistcoat (baeja) and one similar to the Western waistcoat (jokki).

The purpose of this study is the image of clothing according to the change of the dots' size was analyzed and its influence on the formation of the image of polka dots clothing was investigated. White waterdrop patterns were designed on the 12 kinds of black texture using Photoshop and CAD program in regular arrangement of diamond figure, composed of white waterdrop(0.5cm, 1.0cm, 1.5cm and 2cm in diameter) and interval(diameter : interval-1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 4). Applying above specification, the photograph stimulus of 12 kinds of X-line one-piece dress with wide square neckline and without sleeve or detailed ornament was presented on a screen in the same size as when putting it on. The image of polka dots clothes was investigated by questionnaire survey. The object of the study was 320 females aged between 16 and 29. Factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, $Scheff\acute{e}$ verification and two-way ANOVA using SPSS 10.0 were carried out for data analysis. Followings are the results: 1) The image of polka dots clothing consists of 4 factors as aesthetics, brevity, dynamism and lightweight. 2) The size of the dot has a great influence on the formation of the image of polka dots clothing. 3) The evaluations of the image of polka dots clothing were different depending on the age and physical image, the personal characteristics of the object of investigation.

The purpose of this study is to study the movie costume and color image through the movie"Vertigo". Firstly, looking into the clothing style and the color image of the characters expressed in the movie, Scottie who had the physical limitation had phobia of height, and he was expressed with the gray color to show his lethargic feeling from his physical limitation. And, after the death of Madeleine, it expressed his sense of loss and depressed mind through the blue color. The comparison of green and red color that was used to link the two characters in Madeleine and her substitution, Judy, mystified her, and the image of dreamy Madeleine has been inscribed to Scottie. In addition, the green color expressed her unstable mind. The clothing expression of Judy is expressed with her unstable mind through the detailed clothing, unlike Madeleine. And, the black color expressed the false identity of her and the Madeleine image of his own for Scottie. The type of clothing is expressed in separates suit and overcoat that are representative ones in 1950s, and black dress with the square neckline and others expressed the silence on conspiracy of Gavin and the false identity of her. Secondly, the color image expressed in the background in the movie as a special space for Scottie and Madeleine. The blue color image for Scottie was shown to be as space for death and the green image for Madeleine as a fantasy.

The purpose of this study was to compare the perspective of marriage and preferences of wedding dress design for female college students in Korea and China. To this end, a questionnaire was administered for 191 Korean female college students and 199 Chinese female college students in Korea. The data were analyzed using SPSS PC + 25.0, and the applied statistical techniques were reliability analysis, cross-tab analysis, and mean comparison analysis. For statistical verification, chi-square and t-test were used. The main research results are as follows. First, Korean female college students were more likely to marry than Chinese female college students. For the reason of wishing to marry, Chinese female college students were higher than Korean female college students in economic, life, and parent-related items. The reason for not wanting to get married is that Chinese female college students were high in worrying about their spouse, work, and their career. Second, the wedding dress design preferred by Korean and Chinese female college students was different in the neckline. Finally, the policy measures for consumer preference and satisfaction in the future wedding industry were discussed.

This study is to analyze the regional differences of sensibility image of wedding dress design for single women of marriageable age in Ulsan and Seoul. The conclusions of this study were as follows. In silhouette, both of two regions were not significant differences but within the same sensibility image there was a bit of differences. In neckline, reminded sweetheart of pure image, yet those of Ulsan reminded sweetheart of feminine image. Both of two regions reminded V of hard image, boat of feminine image, square of hard image, halter of complex image. But within the same sensibility image there was a bit of differences between two regions. Oval was significant differences between two regions. Subject of Ulsan reminded oval of mature image, yet those of Seoul reminded oval of elegance image. It was reminded ruffle of complex image. Subject of Ulsan reminded china of hard image, yet those of Seoul reminded china of calm image. In material, it was not significant differences between two regions, but within the same sensibility image there was a bit of differences between two regions. In detail, subject of Ulsan reminded ruffle of messy image, yet those of Seoul reminded ruffle of complex image. Both of two areas reminded ribbon of pure image, button of pure image. Subject of Ulsan reminded beads of feminine image, yet those of Seoul reminded beads of pure image. In conclusion, it could be said that there was no major differences in sensibility image for wedding dress design between Ulsan and Seoul.
