코로나 팬데믹 이후의 아산 온천 이용 선호도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Perception of Asan Hot Springs Utilization Post-Corona Pandemic)

  • Purpose: This study aims to investigate the preferences of hot spring users regarding the utilization of Asan's hot springs after the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A survey was conducted on 340 hot spring users visiting hot spring resorts in the Onyang, Dogo, and Asan hot spring districts. The survey was conducted twice from November 5th to November 7th, 2021, and from May 25th to 26th, 2022. The survey included general questions, such as the frequency of hot spring usage, the purpose of visits, and the intention for future visits. Specific questions were related to Asan hot springs, focusing on the reasons for choosing Asan, its perceived advantages, and improvement suggestions. Results: The survey revealed that the average number of visits to hot springs was less than five in the past five years, and the main reason for visiting was to recover from fatigue. A percentage of respondents said they would use hot springs more often when the COVID-19 pandemic ends. When asked about their reasons for visiting Asan hot springs, responses varied by age. However, across all groups, the majority considered "good water" as an advantage of Asan hot springs, while improvements to "hot spring facilities" was the highest response among all age groups. Thus, despite the decline in the number of customers due to COVID-19, the overall perception of hot springs remains positive. This suggests a promising future for the hot spring industry, with the potential for a return to pre-pandemic usage levels. Conclusion: These results provide valuable foundational data for informing policy development aimed at revitalizing the hot spring industry in the post-COVID-19 era.

Minimum dynamic response of cantilever beams supported by optimal elastic springs

  • In this study, optimal distribution of springs which supports a cantilever beam is investigated to minimize two objective functions defined. The optimal size and location of the springs are ascertained to minimize the tip deflection of the cantilever beam. Afterwards, the optimization problem of springs is set up to minimize the tip absolute acceleration of the beam. The Fourier Transform is applied on the equation of motion and the response of the structure is defined in terms of transfer functions. By using any structural mode, the proposed method is applied to find optimal stiffness and location of springs which supports a cantilever beam. The stiffness coefficients of springs are chosen as the design variables. There is an active constraint on the sum of the stiffness coefficients and there are passive constraints on the upper and lower bounds of the stiffness coefficients. Optimality criteria are derived by using the Lagrange Multipliers. Gradient information required for solution of the optimization problem is analytically derived. Optimal designs obtained are compared with the uniform design in terms of frequency responses and time response. Numerical results show that the proposed method is considerably effective to determine optimal stiffness coefficients and locations of the springs.

수종의 니켈-티타늄 폐쇄형 코일 스프링의 하중-변위 특성 및 소성 변형 비교 (Load-deflection characteristics and plastic deformation of NiTi closed coil springs)

  • 폐쇄형 니켈-티타늄 코일 스프링은 탈부하 과정에서 힘이 거의 일정하게 유지되는 초탄성을 보이는 것으로 알려져 있으나, 각 제조사에 따른 니켈-티타늄 스프링의 실제 특성에 대한 보고는 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수종의 폐쇄형 니켈-티타늄 코일 스프링들의 하중-변위 특성과 소성 변형에 대해 비교하고 임상적으로 적용 가능한 신장 범위에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 다섯 개 제조회사에서 생산된 일곱 종의 폐쇄형 니켈-티타늄 코일 스프링을 각 종류별로 2 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm로 신장시켜 하중-변위 곡선을 얻은 후 같은 길이로 4주간 유지시킨 후 다시 하중-변위 곡선을 얻었다. 실험 결과 Sentalloy (Tomy, Tokyo, Japan), Jinsung (Jinsung, Seoul, Korea)은 모든 범위에서 초탄성을 나타내며 영구변형도 1 mm 이하로 작아 가장 바람직한 물성을 보였다. 반면 Ni-Ti (Ormco, Orange, CA, USA)는 10 mm부터 초탄성 구간을 보였는데, 이는 이러한 스프링을 적용 시에는 10 mm 이상 신장시켜야 초탄성 성질을 활용할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. Orthonol (RMO, Denver, CO, USA)과 Nitanium (Ortho Oganizers, San Marcos, CA, USA)은 초탄성을 보이지 않았다. 4주 동안 신장 후의 소성 변형 정도를 측정한 결과 25 mm 이내의 신장 범위에서는 1 mm 이하의 소성 변형만이 나타났다. 폐쇄형 니켈-티타늄 코일 스프링의 초탄성 성질은 제조사에 따라 다양하게 나타났으므로, 임상 적용 시 이를 고려하는 것이 바람직하다.

레이저 디스플레이를 위한 전자력 구동 스캐닝 미러의 설계 (Design of Electromagnetically Driven Micro Scanning Mirror for Laser Animation System)

  • In this paper, we present the design of an electromagnetic scanning mirror with torsional springs. The scanning mirror consisting of torsional springs and electromagnetic coils was designed for the applications of laser animation systems. We analyzed and optimized three types of torsional springs, namely, straight beam springs (SBS), classic serpentine springs (CSS), and rotated serpentine springs (RSS). The torsional springs were analyzed in terms of electrical resistance, fabrication error tolerance, and resonance mode separation of each type using analytical formula or numerical analysis. The RSS has advantages over the others as follows: 1) A low resistance of conductors, 2) wide resonance mode separation, 3) strong fabrication error tolerance, 4) a small footprint. The double-layer coils were chosen instead of single-layer coils with respect to electromagnetic forces. It resulted in lower power consumption. The geometry of the scanning mirror was optimized by calculations; RSS turn was 12 and the width of double-layer coil was $100{\mu}m$, respectively. When the static rotational angle is 5 degrees, the power consumption of the mirror plate was calculated to be 9.35 mW since the resistance of the coil part and a current is $122{\Omega}$ and 8.75 mA, respectively. The power consumption of full device including the mirror plate and torsional springs was calculated to be 9.63 mW.

유아·아동 동반 가족의 아산온천지구 관광형태에 관한 예비 연구 (A Pilot Study on the Tourism Behavior of Family Groups with Children at the Asan Hot Springs)

  • Purpose: The Asan Hot Springs are adjacent to the Seoul Metropolitan area and have excellent traffic access. However, a steady decline in tourist numbers followed the decline in the urban population. This study aims to provide participants with a hot springs visit as part of their independent tourism experience and then analyze their feedback to obtain meaningful suggestions to enhance local tourism. Methods: We recruited 12 families interested in taking a two-day, one-night tour, including a visit to the Asan Hot Springs. Participating families were grouped into two cohorts (Type C and Type A) depending on whether they included children aged one to ten. Each family answered a survey regarding their overall satisfaction with the Asan Hot Springs and provided targeted feedback regarding hot spring resorts, accommodations, restaurants, adjacent tourist spots, and tourism costs. Results: Most of the families that participated in the study were residents of Seoul, Incheon, or Kyunggi (74.47%); the majority were two-generation families (75%) with children (75%). The Type C group enjoyed the campsite (55.56%) accommodations at the Asan Hot Springs more than their Type A counterparts. Families visited an average of 3.6 places during their stay, and 61.11% of participating families visited entertainment and tourist attractions, including the Type C visit to the thermal bath. Compared with Type A, Type C families spent more on tourism and were more satisfied with the entertainment and tourist attractions experience. Overall, all study participants were satisfied with the thermal sources. Conclusion: Our results indicate that families with children have a higher added value than visitor groups consisting only of adults. Considering the significant impact on the local economy, the Asan Hot Springs and associated tourist attractions and services should be developed with these visitors in mind.

휴대장치용 새로운 자기 스프링 액추에이터의 해석 (Analysis of Novel Magnetic-Spring Actuators for Portable Units)

  • SLA(Scanned Linear Array) is a portable display unit for implementing next-generation virtual realities, utilizes a design that light generated by a line of LEDs is reflected from the rapidly oscillating mirror to generate a raster display. Reaction forces generated by the motions of the mirror and counter-balance mass cancel each other at the device base, reducing vibration. Metal leaf springs have been extensively applied in such portable units. Magnetic springs have been developed and adopted that can replace the metal spring and can avoid many disadvantages of metal springs. We model and analyze the dynamics of the structure with magnetic springs and present the simulation and experimental analysis results, which can be utilized for identifying and eliminating possible problem sources in removing shaking forces and moments, and oscillating the mirror at the required amplitude and frequency. Finally, we present the improved novel magnetic actuator model which can be applied in portable display units.

바이메탈을 이용한 자동차용 가스 스프링 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Auto-moblie Gas Spring Structural Analysis Using of Bimetal)

  • Gas springs have been widely used in motor vehicles as well as in most areas of industry. Instead of coil springs, these gas springs are easily operated to extrusion process or compression process the doors because $N_2$ gas with high pressure and oil are charged in tube. Gas spring sustain the constant elasticity change rate in the high reaction force and long stroke, and they have compact design, appearance and an excellent assembling ability to be mounted easily with any applicatory products. By means of these aspects, gas springs have been widely used in stead of coil springs in the over all industries. In this study, using acommonly used program, ANSYS, the basic research about the heat transfer and equivalent stress change of bimetal.

  • In this paper, we present the design of an electromagnetic scanning mirror with rotated serpentine springs. We considered three types of torsional springs: simple beam springs (SBS), classic serpentine springs (CSS), and rotated serpentine springs (RSS). The analysis was done for an electrical resistance, differences in the mode-frequency, and resonances regarding to spring thickness. Electromagnetic coils under the mirror plate were also analyzed for power consumption and the mechanical deflection. From the analysis result, RSS and electromagnetic coils were designed for the silicon scanning mirror.

수치해석을 이용한 냉장고용 유리선반 성형용 인서트 금형의 개선 (Improvement of Insert Molding for Refrigerator Glass Shelves Using Numerical Analysis)

  • Refrigerator glass shelves are manufactured by Insert Injection Molding. The current process of injection of glass into the mold induces movement of the core, on urethane springs. Defects in the product can result from too low a force being transmitted from the springs. To solve this problem, the force on the moving core and the injection molding pressure were subjected to numerical analysis. Based on this, the number of urethane springs as well as their hardness was changed to improve the situation. The number of springs was changed from 6 to 4. The diameter of the springs was increased from ${\emptyset}75$ to ${\emptyset}100$, and the hardness was increased from 70 (shore A) to 90 (shore A). These improvements caused the force on the molding core to increase by approximately 65,442 N. The proportion of defects decreased by 66%.

판형 홀드다운 스프링 집합체의 강성해석 (Stiffness analysis of leaf type holddown spring assemblies)

  • 본 연구에서는 판 스프링의 길이가 두께에 비하여 비교적 큰 것을 고려하여 판스프링의 기하학적 치수와 물성치들을 이용하여 판스프링의 강성과 조립된판 스프링 집합체의 강성을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 본 이론과 변형률 에너지이론을 적용하여 개 발하였고 그 개발된 방법으로 구한 강성예측치와 특성실험에서 얻은 강성치를 비교, 분석하여 판 스프링 강성해석 방법의 신뢰성을 보임과 동시에 독자적인 홀드다운스프 링 집합체의 특성해석 방법을 제시 하였다.
