인공생명 알고리듬에 의한 고속, 소폭 저널베어링의 최적설계 (Optimum Design of High-Speed, Short Journal Bearings by Artificial Life Algorithm)

  • This paper presents the artificial life algorithm which is remarkable in the area of engineering for optimum design. As artificial life organisms have a sensing system, they can find the resource which they want to find and metabolize it. And the characteristics of artificial life are emergence and dynamical interacting with environment. In other words, the micro interaction with each other in the artificial life's group results in emergent colonization in the whole system. In this paper, therefore, artificial life algorithm by using above characteristics is employed into functions optimization. The effectiveness of this proposed algorithm is verified through the numerical test of single and multi objective functions. The numerical tests also show that the proposed algorithm is superior to genetic algorithm and immune algorithm for the Multi-peak function. And artificial life algorithm is also applied to optimum design of high-speed, short journal bearings and verified through the numerical test.

  • In this paper, a novel speed control system that implements the fuzzy logic controller(FLC) is proposed. Fuzzy controller is shown more excellent efficency than a conventional controllers in the strength aspect and non-linear controller using IF-THEN rule which can control without process the accurate mathematical modeling about induction motor. But we cannot expect that conventional fuzzy controller divide equally the space of input and output parameter and use the certain shape of triangle membership function. Therefore to develop the efficiency of conventional fuzzy controller, We need to scale the range of membership functions. In this study, proposed fuzzy controller has the ability controlling scale of membership functions using by output scaling factor.

Development of Flight Control System and Troubleshooting on Flight Test of a Tilt-Rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

  • The full results of troubleshooting process related to the flight control system of a tilt-rotor type UAV in the flight tests are described. Flight tests were conducted in helicopter, conversion, and airplane modes. The vehicle was flown using automatic functions, which include speed-hold, altitude-hold, heading-hold, guidance modes, as well as automatic take-off and landing. Many unexpected problems occurred during the envelope expansion tests which were mostly under those automatic functions. The anomalies in helicopter mode include vortex ring state (VRS), long delay in the automatic take-off, and the initial overshoot in the automatic landing. In contrast, the anomalies in conversion mode are untrimmed AOS oscillation and the calibration errors of the air data sensors. The problems of low damping in rotor speed and roll rate responses are found in airplane mode. Once all of the known problems had been solved, the vehicle in airplane mode gradually reached the maximum design speed of 440km/h at the operation altitude of 3km. This paper also presents a comprehensive detailing of the control systems of the tilt-rotor unmanned air vehicle (UAV).

자기학습형 퍼지제어기를 이용한 유도전동기의 속도제어 (Speed Control of Induction Motor Using Self-Learning Fuzzy Controller)

  • 본 논문은 신경회로망에 의한 퍼지제어기의 소속함수를 자동동조하는 방법을 제시하였다. 신경회로망 에뮬레이터는 퍼지제어기의 소속함수와 퍼지규칙을 재구성하는 경로를 제공하며, 재구성된 퍼지제어기는 유도전동기의 속도제어를 위해 사용한다. 따라서, 연산 시간과 시스템 성능의 관점에서 제안된 방법은 전동기 상수가 변동될 시에도 기존의 제어 방식보다 우수하다. 공간전압벡터 PWM 발생을 위한 고속연산을 수행하고 자기학습형 퍼지제어기 알고리즘을 구현하기 위해서 32비트 마이크로프로세서인 DSP(TMS320C31)을 사용하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험 결과를 통하여, 제안된 방식이 PI 제어기나 기존의 퍼지제어기보다 향상된 제어 성능을 보일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

워드기반 스트림암호의 병렬화 고속 구현 방안 (On a Parallel-Structured High-Speed Implementation of the Word-Based Stream Cipher)

  • 본 논문에서는 일반적인 비트기반의 비선형 결합함수를 고속화하기 위하여 워드기반 스트림 암호에서 적용될 워드기반 비선형 결합함수 구조를 제안하였다. 특히, 워드기반 병렬구조를 갖는 PS-WFSR을 제안하였고, 이를 활용하여 비트 기반 비선형 결합함수를 고속화시킨 4가지 형태의 워드기반 병렬형 비선형 결합함수를 다음과 같이 제안하였다. m-병렬 워드기반 비메모리 비선형 결합함수, m-병렬 워드기반 메모리 비선형 결합함수, m-병렬 워드기반 비선형 필터함수, m-병렬 워드기반 클럭조절형 함수를 제안하였고, 마지막으로 m-병렬 워드기반 DRAGON의 병렬 구조를 통하여 그 성능을 분석하였다.

The Effect of Aerated Oil Considering Live Oil Surface Tension on High-Speed Journal Bearing

  • The influence of aerated oil on high-speed journal bearing is examined by classical thermohydrodynamic lubrication theory coupled with analytical models for viscosity and density of air-oil mixture in fluid-film bearing. Convection to the walls and mixing with supply oil and re-circulating oil are considered. The live oil surface tension is considered as functions of temperature, API gravity and air volume ratio. With changing eccentricity ratio, it is investigated the effects of air bubbles on the performance of a high-speed plain journal bearing. Just at the moderate eccentricity ratios, even if the involved aeration levels are not so severe and the entrained air bubble sizes are not so small, it is found that the bearing load and friction farce may be changed so visibly for the high speed bearing operation.

  • Flame surface area is a critical parameter determining turbulent flame speed. Three-dimensionaldirect numerical simulations (DNS) were conducted to figure out the evolution process of flame surface area. Fully compressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved to reproduce premixed flame embedded in isotropic decaying turbulent flow. The tangential straining and curvature of propagating surface affect development of flame area. In this study, four different turbulent intensity flows and three different Le number flames are investigated to force changes in straining and curvature effects. Consistent results are obtained for the probability density functions (PDF) of strain and curvature with previous researches. It is revealed that displacement speed, which is a speed of flame surface relative to unburnt flow, controls the balance between sink and source of flame surface area.

  • Korean High-Speed Train (350km/h), composed of 2 power cars, 2 motorized car and 3 trailer cars, has been developed and is under trial test. To verify the design requirements for the functions and traction performances of the train, KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute) decided to evaluate traction performances of the train during trial test. For this purpose, torque, velocity, voltage and current must be measured. KRRI has developed a measurement system that can measure vast and various signals effectively. In this paper, we introduce traction performances of Korean High-Speed Train. The traction measurement items are focused on the verification of motor block performances. Motor block consists of 2 motors. By this test, we verified traction performances of Korean High-Speed Train.

  • The present DC Motor or STEP Motor have been used in electronic work and products. There are many papers that let those Motor improved more conveniently in controlling and measuring those than before. By controlling and measuring those, the convenience of users and the functions of products can be improved. In addition, the responding speed of whole system can be increased by improving it of controlling and measuring. Therefore it is necessary that we develop motor motion application. Because of this necessity, neural networks was used to improve the responding speed of controlling and measuring, and a new application was developed for the convenience of users. This paper showed that efficiency of controlling methodology by neural-network is superior to others in correctness and speed. We are intend to verify its practical usefulness though experimentations.
