사물지능 통신을 위한 고효율 저복잡도 대역 확산 알로하 기법 (High-Efficiency and Low-Complexity Spread Spectrum ALOHA for Machine-to-Machine Communications)

  • 본 논문은 동시 전송 가능한 사물지능 통신 트래픽의 수를 늘리기 위하여 doubly truncated cyclic code shift keying (DTCCSK)을 활용한 대역 확산 알로하 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 DTCCSK는 정사각형으로 표시되는 cyclic code shift keying 코드셋의 우측과 하단을 절삭함으로써 생성 가능하며, spreading factor와 심볼 길이를 자유롭게 설계할 수 있는 특징을 가진다. 또한 DTCCSK는 대역 확산 알로하의 변복조 기법으로 주로 사용되는 direct sequence 보다 높은 주파수 효율을 보이면서도 M-ary 시그널링 기법에 비해서는 낮은 구현 복잡도로 구현이 가능하다. 본 논문은 사물지능 통신을 위해 대역 확산 알로하를 채택한 S-band mobile interactive multimedia 표준을 참고하여 시뮬레이션 환경을 구성하였고 DTCCSK의 성능을 검증하였다.

에너지스펙트럼 분석을 통한 폴리스타이렌 기반 플라스틱 섬광체의 파장쉬프터 비율 최적화 (Optimization of the Wavelength Shifter Ratio in a Polystyrene Based Plastic Scintillator through Energy Spectrum Analysis)

  • The scintillation efficiency of the polystyrene based plastic scintillator depends on the ratio of the wavelength shifters, organic fluors(PPO and POPOP). Thus, 24 samples of the plastic scintillator were fabricated in order to find out the optimum ratio of the wavelength shifters in the plastic scintillator. The fabricated plastic scintillators were trimmed through a cutting and polishing process. They were used in gamma energy spectrum measurement with the $^{137}Cs$ emitting mono-energy photon with 662 keV for the comparison of the scintillation efficiency. As a result, it was found out that the scintillator sample with 1.00 g of PPO (2,5-Diphenyloxazole) and 0.50 g of POPOP (1,4-Bis(5-phnyl-2oxidazolyl)benzene) dissolved in 100 g of styrene solution has the optimum ratio in terms of the light yield of the polystyrene based plastic scintillator.

Energy-efficient full-duplex UAV relaying networks: Trajectory design for channel-model-free scenarios

  • In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) relaying network. In this network, the channels between UAVs and ground transceivers are model-free. A UAV acting as a flying relay explores better channels to assist in efficient data delivery between two ground nodes. The full-duplex relaying mode is applied for potential energy efficiency (EE) improvements. With the genetic algorithm, we manage to optimize the UAV trajectory for any arbitrary radio map scenario. Numerical results demonstrate that compared to other schemes (eg, fixed trajectory/speed policies), the proposed algorithm performs better in terms of EE. Additionally, the impact of self-interference on average EE is also investigated.

펄스 UV 램프를 이용한 미생물 소독 및 2-MIB 제거 특성 (Characteristics of Disinfection and Removal of 2-MIB Using Pulse UV Lamp)

  • The characteristics of disinfection and organic removal were investigated with pulse UV lamp in this study. The intensity and emission wavelength of pulse UV Lamp were compared with low pressure UV lamp. The emission spectrum range of pulse UV lamp was between 200 and 400 nm while the emission spectrum of low pressure UV lamp was only single wavelength of 254nm. 3 Log inactivation rate of B. subtilis spore by pulse UV and low pressure UV irradiation was determined as $44.71mJ/cm^2$ and $57.7mJ/cm^2$, respectively. This results implied that wide range of emission spectrum is more effective compared to single wavelength emission at 254nm. 500ng/L of initial 2-MIB concentration was investigated on the removal efficiency by UV only and $UV/H_2O_2$ process. The removal efficiency of UV only process achieved approximately 80% at $8,600mJ/cm^2$ dose. 2-MIB removal rate of $UV/H_2O_2$ (5 mg/L $H_2O_2$) process was 25 times increased compared to UV only process. DOC removal efficiency for the water treatment plant effluent was examined. The removal efficiency of DOC by UV and $UV/H_2O_2$ was no more than 20%. Removal efficiency of THMFP(Trihalomethane Formation Potential), one of the chlorination disinfection by-products, is determined on the UV irradiation and $UV/H_2O_2$ process. Maximum removal efficiency of THMFP was approximately 23%. This result indicates that more stable chemical structures of NOM(Natural Organic Matter) than low molecule compounds such as 2-MIB, hydrogen peroxide and other pollutants affect low removal efficiency for UV photolysis. Consequently, pulse UV lamp is more efficient compared to low pressure lamp in terms of disinfection due to it's broad wavelength emission of UV. Additional effect of pulse UV is to take place the reactions of both direct photolysis to remove micro organics and disinfection simultaneously. It is also expected that hydrogen peroxide enable to enhance the oxidation efficiency on the pulse UV irradiation due to formation of OH radical.

  • Inproving laser efficiency, optimum content of Nd3+ which is active ion and effect of Cr3+ as a sensitizer are investigated in 60SiO2.30Li2O.10CaO host glass. The glasses are fabricated with the addition of Nd3+, Cr3+ and then optical properties such as absorption spectrum, fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence lifetime were studied. Finally, lasing efficiency was measured. From this study, optimum content of Nd2O3 appeared to be 3.5wt% and it was observed that the energy absorbed by optical exicitation of the Cr3+ is transfered to the Nd3+. Addition of Cr2O3 tend to improve characteristic of laser oscillation for the laser glass.

  • 현대 무선 통신에서는 제한된 주파수 자원을 효율적으로 사용하기 위해 스펙트럼 효율성이 매우 중요한 문제로 여겨지고 있다. 또한 시스템구조 측면에서는 저 가격, 저 전력 및 초경량에 목표를 두고 제작되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 직접 디지털 주파수합성기(DDS ; Direct Digital Synthesize.)를 이용하여 스펙트럼 효율이 우수한 BCPFSK(Binary Continuous Phase Frequency Shift Keying)를 직접 변조하였으며, 시스템 구조로는 직접 변환(Direct Conversion) 구조를 적용하여, 433 MHz대의 BCPFSK 출력을 갖는 송 ·수신기를 설계하고 성능을 평가하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 안테나 시스템에서의 전송률과 안정성 측면에서의 최적의 성능을 발휘하기 위해 채널 추정오차에 강인한 적응형 다중입출력(MIMO) 스위칭 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 논문은 무선 채널의 추정 오차에 대한 강인성을 확보하기 위하여 가변형 패킷오류 예측 방식에 기반을 두었으며, 기존의 MIMO 스위칭 방식에 비해 스펙트럼 효율이 약 8% 이상 증대 됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • White organic LED spectrum for lighting and displaying should be designed for high luminous efficiency as well as good chromaticity coordinate, pleasant correlated color temperature and color rendering. A program based on Matlab was made to make these calculations convenient. The chromaticity coordinate and luminous efficiency was calculated according to the CIE 1931 colorimetric system, while the correlated color temperature(CCT) was calculated based on CIE 1960 UCS diagram. The color rendering characteristics were evaluated according to the CIE Color Rendering Index (CRI), using Ra, Ri and ${\bigtriangleup}E$ from the 14 color samples defined in CIE13.3.

  • We report the photo-(PL) and electroluminescence (EL) properties of new conjugated compounds based on diphenyl benzeneamine moiety, 4,4'-(1,4-phenylenedi-(1E)-2,1-ethenediyl]bis(N,N-diphenyl-benzenamine](PEDB) and 4,4'-([1,1 -biphenyl]-4,4'-diyldi-2,1-ethenediyl)bis[N,N-diphenyl-benzenamine)(BPEDB), as emitting materials and dopant materials. The ITO/m-MTDATA/NPB/DPVBi + BPEDB(1%) /Alq3/LiF/Al device shows blue EL spectrum at 458nm and high efficiency(5.3 cd/A). PEDB as dopant shows also blue EL spectrum around ${\lambda}$ max=463nm and 4.1 cd/A high efficiency in ITO/m-MTDATA/NPB/DPVBi + PEDB(1%)/Alq3/LiF/Al device.
