The purpose of this study is to attempt to interpret golf courses as event-generating spaces with consideration given to the time factor. Through a golf game, a variety of events such as the tee shot, second shot, putt, and hole out are generated. These events have been connected to a series of events after hole out such as birdie, par, bogey and so on. The series of events do not always occur in the same way. They reveal unexpected changes over time. These unexpected changes cause changes in the spatial characteristics and offer unforgettable memories for golfers. Gilles Deleuze mentioned the spatial characteristics as striated space and smooth space. Striated space can be defined as sedentary space. It is distant vision-optical space that has dimensional, metric and centered characteristics, whereas smooth space is defined as nomadic, close vision-haptic space that has directional and acentered characteristics. This study focused on the analysis of spatial characteristics according to striated space and smooth space. Golf courses generally show the characteristics of striated space before beginning the game. As soon as the game begins, however, the golf courses are converted into an event-generating space. The characteristics of striated space are transformed into smooth space, a nomadic space that amplifies the dynamic, changeable, de-scaled and non-metric system. Through the whole game, this transformation is dramatically repeated. On the other hand, the golfer, the subject of the game, senses the phenomenological experience in the process of orientation, center, definition, and domestication.
With globalization and the execution of a self-governing system, the government-oriented system has been transformed into a city-oriented system. The importance of the competitive power of a city is thus increasing. Because of this each region is trying to develop its own differentiated image and to create branding using unique historical and cultural resources and, as one of the strategies for this, public spaces have been developed. For a public space to be used as a means to promote the attractiveness of a city, creates a local image and works as a medium to help a community of people realize a pleasant life. Therefore, in this study, I am clarified theoretically the meaning of placeness and form factors. and study realization methods in the space around the public space case. The results of the study are as following. In the modern space, Place is to be understood as a recognition and experience. Therefore rather than spatial structure physical fixed, recognition through the human experience is an important feature of the place-making, it is necessary to access in spatial planning based on this point of view. The factors of the placeness formation are physical environment factors, activity elements of the human, the meaning factors. and these elements form the placeness through via interaction. Therefore, even space implementation of the place, it is necessary to grasp the elements of each, as well as the physical aspects in particular, planning programmatic and various functions must be parallel strategically. There is a need to implement a space device that can be carried out in space activities.
This study researches the effectiveness of virtual experiences as an evaluation method in design. For the study, I researched the result on the spatial recognition before, abstracted visual objects and factors in recognition process and made up 43 inquiries for the evaluation through the experts group. Besides, set the analytical code between recognition factor and spatial constituents, made analysis the result from it. From April 1st to June 30th in 2004, the virtual model of educational place, college main building and city library was established as a subject of the research and studied the result. The methods that are used for the study are frequent analysis, T-test, reliability analysis, factor analysis etc. and SPSSWIN Package is used for the statistic analysis. There were two times of analysis on the evaluation to analyze the effect of virtual models on the web basis, one group evaluated the virtual building same as real and the other group evaluated the building site. Then analyzed the differences and correlation between the two. In result, college building, the first subject of study, and the second city library shows that made little differences between on the spot evaluation and virtual evaluation. Therefore, it is considered that the design evaluation with virtual model on the web basis has a vantage. But some problems founded that solved between preceding and present research through the feedback. It is as follows, 1. detection of problems that insufficience validity in the first survey. 2. found some not-validity inquiries. 3. detection of necessities that qualitative improvement and technical repletion in virtual environment.

Since the 18th century the museums in Europe have accepted the social demand of the publicity and have played a role of social education and it lasted to the present. Recently, the society began to change it's direction. It is from the Universalism to the Pluralism. The Universalism is due to democratic society after 'the Civil Revolution' and standardized social system after 'the Industrial Revolution' The Pluralism that starts with the decrease of the modern society is about the diversity and the activation of identity which has been disregarded since the Modernism. This study is to analyze and to clarify how the museum's educational environment which had begun since the 18th century has been changed since 1990 and how these are related to the social alteration from the Universalism to the Pluralism. As a result of this study, it was confirmed that there had been a simple circulation system and a unified spatial experience in the museum of Europe since 18th century to 1980's(phl) while there had been a complex circulation system and a diverse spatial experience in the museum of Europe after 1990's(ph2). These mean that the museum of phl gave a unified social education to the visitors and they came to have a similar knowledge and emotion after their seeing the exhibition material while the museums of 'ph2' gave a diverse one and the visitor came to have a different knowledge and emotion to the same exhibition material. The museum which gives a unified social education is to produce a unified thoughts of people and it is because the social direction is the Universalism. In addition to this, the museum of diverse social education is to produce people of diversity and it is related to the Pluralism.
The food and beverage spaces of modern industrial society have transformed from a simple space for meals into a space of culture, communication and experience as society becomes more complex and diverse along side economic growth. An interior designer who is rapidly rising on this flow of change is Yukio Hashimoto. While working for interior design firm Super Potato, which highlights food and beverage spaces, he was much affected by the expression methods of representative designer Takashi Sugimoto, who makes use of natural elements. By using these expression methods that make use of natural elements in his own creation of spatial ambience and elements of experience and by adding his own differentiated expression methods, he emphasizes an effective spatial expression for food and beverage spaces. The design characteristics of Yukio Hashimoto's food and beverage spaces are as follows. First natural elements like light and water are recreated as memories of nature after being established through a methodology that allows these elements to penetrate his own thoughts. Second, he pursues a hybrid design through the harmony between past tradition and current expressive techniques. Third, he expresses objets of light through a formative sense of shape expressed with light.. Fourth, he establishes an axis in the interior space by light and structure and endows a strong directionality that induces symmetric characteristics, gaze, and movement.. Fifth, he installs lights at the bottom of weighty materials and expresses a sense of floating by light. Sixth, he uses an illusion technique that makes use of the ambiguity and depth of space resulting from reflecting materials like mirrors. The study hopes that such design expression characteristics of food and beverage spaces can be used as data for interior designers to apply and develop a new design vocabulary.
In this paper, MPEG-I Immersive Audio Standardization and related trends are presented. MPEG-I Immersive Audio, which is under the development of standard documents at the exploration stage, can make a user interact with a virtual scene in 6 DoF manner and perceive sounds realistic and matching the user's spatial audio experience in the real world, in VR/AR environments that are expected as killer applications in hyper-connected environments such as 5G/6G. In order to do this, MPEG Audio Working Group has discussed the system architecture and related requirements for the spatial audio experience in VR/AR, audio evaluation platform (AEP) and encoder input format (EIF) for assessing the performance of submitted proponent technologies, and evaluation procedures.
In this paper, we propose haptic interfaces based on force feedback to provide a physical painting experience to virtual reality users. Through this system, the user can create surface-based painting holding a haptic stylus, while utilizing both visual feedback from the worn HMD and haptic feedback during painting. In particular, the haptic interfaces simulate the physical interaction between painting brush and painting, which can help to improve the spatial perception of users and compensate for visual feedback. This can reduce laborious drawing works to repeatedly paint strokes and therefore yield a better painting performance. As a result, users can experience more effective and realistic VR painting with this system.

With the recent changes in society and the introduction of new technologies, the usage patterns of parks have become diverse, leading to increased complexity in park management. As a result, there is a growing demand for flexible and diverse park management that can adapt to these new requirements. However, there is inadequate discussion on these new demands and whether urban park management policies can respond. Therefore, empirical research on how park usage patterns are evolving is critical. To address this, blog data, in which individuals share their experiences, was used to examine the spatial consumption patterns through semantic network and topic analysis. This study also explored whether these spatial consumption patterns exhibit experiential consumption characteristics according to the experience economy theory. The results showed that consumption behaviors, such as renting picnic sets and having food and drinks delivered, were prominent and that emotional experiences were pursued. Furthermore, these findings were consistent with the experiential consumption characteristics of the experience economy theory. This suggests that park planning and maintenance methods need to become more flexible and diverse in response to the changing demands for park usage.
In the global era, the tourism industry is a major profitable business, and the state and local governments are making various efforts to provide quality tourism experiences. The purpose of this study in a variety of tourism contents is to study barrier-free subway services in line with the global era, and to expand from the existing rapid, safe, and ordered transportation to the provision of high-quality comfort and all-round service experiences. This study compared and analyzed the subway service systems of Korea, China and both countries through the service design method, and presented a barrier-free subway service system to improve the user's satisfaction with the subway service system by improving the user's service experience. As a result, research results showed that 20 attractive quality attributes in 17 fields, such as convenience facilities, language issues, security equipment, and riding environment, play an important role in improving the quality and experience of subway services. In addition, through the construction of a Service Spatial Scenario, an optimized subway service system can be visualized to help understand this so that it can be used as a reference for creating a strategic application.

With development of the earth's subsurface space, the need for a reliable subsurface spatial model such as a cross-section, boring log is increasing. However, the ground mass was essentially uncertain. To generate model was uncertain because of the shortage of data and the absence of geotechnical interpretation standard(non-statistical uncertainty) as well as field environment variables(statistical uncertainty). Therefore, the current interpretation of the data and the generation of the model were accomplished by a highly trained experts. In this study, a geotechnical ontology model was developed using the current expert experience and knowledge, and the information content was calculated in the ontology hierarchy. After the relative distance between the information contents in the ontology model was combined with the distance between cluster centers, a cluster analysis that considered the geotechnical semantics was performed. In a comparative test of the proposed method, k-means method, and expert's interpretation, the proposed method is most similar to expert's interpretation, and can be 3D-GIS visualization through easily handling massive data. We expect that the proposed method is able to generate the more reasonable subsurface spatial information model without geotechnical experts' help.
