As the late partner to science fiction, various experimental languages such as animal language, telepathic language, newly invented language, alien language often appear as "unexpected and frightened situations" in SF. Like generative semanticists, some SF writers daringly delve into the sacred mystery of semantics in language whereas others avoid the dream of a universal language by holding themselves to manageable data. Samuel Delany's description of the ideal telepathic universal language in Babel 17 shows us humans' dream to be like God by showing to us the new process of communication in the factual interplanetary environment. Similar to the mystery of alien language in SF, the baby's babbling reveals how language is both simple and complicated. Children's language shows us the changing process of a soul revealed by language use and it is no wonder that many languages of AIs in SF often borrow their source from children's language acquisition processes. In short, science fiction as the repository of tropes illuminates other literary language studies and other literary genres. Especially in terms of the futuristic study of linguistics, the relationship between science fiction and linguistics is much closer than we thought.

This study investigates the factors of LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability), to segment consumer groups by LOHAS and identify the differences of LOHAS groups in the purchase of LOHAS fashion products. A total of 398 people aged from 20s to 50s were surveyed in September, 2009. The data were analyzed with factorial analysis, ANOVA, LSD, Chi-square, Cronbach' ${\alpha}$, using the SPSS 12.0. The survey showed: 1) Seven LOHAS factors (environment preservation, family centered, pursuit of rural life, preference of environmentally friendly products, interest in health, pursuit of leisurely life, and soul & body balance), 2) LOHAS consumers were classified into five segments (health interest, well-being, LOHAS, unconcerned, and naturalist). The distribution of age level, education level, and the type of job were different among LOHAS groups; and 3) Experiences of purchasing LOHAS AS fashion products in the past and intention to purchase LOHAS fashion products in the future were different among LOHAS groups.

Lymphoid hamartomas are a rare benign disease which can be easily treated by complete surgical excision. They developed most often in the thorax, and can be discovered usually on routine chest X-ray.p But some of them can also be found because of pressure symptoms or the presence of a palpable mass if outside the thorax. We experienced a case of the hyaline-vascular type of lymphoid hamartoma in the left hilum of a 29 year-old Korean male in March, 1979. He was well except intermittent cough and left chest discomfort of a year duration and was treated by resection of the left upper lobe including nodular tumor masses. The histological characteristics were an aggregation of lymphoid follicles composed of concentrically arranged mature lymphocytes with centrally placed thick walled arterioles showing endothelial proliferation and some of them were hyalinized. Between the follicles, there was extensive capillary proliferation and infiltration of numerous lymphocytes, scanty plasma cells and eosinophils.

Thirteen patients with lung cancer have undergone bronchoplastic procedures from January 1991 to July 1994 in Kyung Hee univ. Hospital.Among them,twelve patients were male and one patient was female from 33 to 76 years of age.[ mean 56.6 11.5 years of age The pathologic diagnoses were squamous cell carcinoma in twelve patients and adenoid cystic carcinoma in one patient.The bronchoplastic procedures consisted of seven right upper sleeve lobectomies, one right middle sleeve lobectomy, one left lower sleeve lobectomy and four sleeve pneumonectomies. In these sleeve pneumonectomies, right sleeve pneumonectomy was done in three patients and the other was left sleeve pneumonectomy. Including the four sleeve pneumonectomies, carinoplasty was performed in seven patients. Postoperatively, we carried out bronchoscopic suction of intrabronchial secretions in necessary for the prevention of postoperative complication. All except one were discharged without any complication and have been in good condition. Postoperative mortality was in one patient who expired 25days after right middle sleeve lobectomy with respiratory failure.

The biodegradable characteristics of poly-$\beta$-hydroxybutyrate(PHB) film by fun맥 and soil burial are Investigated. As the results of the American Standards for Testing and Materials(ASTM) method, the you of Aspergillus niger was apparent on the PHB containing plate. This suggests that PHB was utilized as the sole carbon source by Aspergillus niger and ASTM method may have applications as measuring means of biome gradability of polyhydroxyalkanoic acid(PHA). PHB film was studied by monitoring the time-dependant changes in weight loss of PHB film under 30% and relative humidity 80 % during pot-test. As the results of pot-test, PHB film was decomposed about 87 % in 30 days by soul microorganisms. PHB film was more slowly degraded than PHB/HV film.

본 연구는 전통적 하이힐과 수정보완된 하이힐 착용 시 간에 서있는 자세에서 족부압력과 정적균형을 비교하여 수정보완된 하이힐이 서 있는 자세에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 여대생 15명을 대상으로 하루 간격을 두고 동일한 대상에게 전통적 하이힐과 수정보완된 하이힐을 각각 착용하게 한 후 족부압력과 정적균형을 측정하여 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과, 수정보완된 하이힐의 족부압력은 전통적 하이힐보다 전족부는 유의하게 감소하고 후족부는 유의하게 증가하였다. 그리고 정적균형 능력은 전통적 하이힐보다 개선되었으나 유의하지 않았다. 따라서 수정보완된 하이힐이 전통적 하이힐보다 좀 더 정상적인 족부 압력을 가지게하고 그에 따라 균형능력에도 긍정적인 영향을 보일 것으로 생각된다.

Pulmonary nodules in chest X-Ray images were detected using the symmetric property of human lung and its performance was evaluated. Thls algorithm reduced the effect of background components and enhanced the nodule signals relatively. The image was divided and processed separately, the half with matched filter only, and the other half with warping and matched filter. This algorithm increased the entire detection rate by reducing False-Positive error and improving True-Positive detectability. Result shows 10-25 % improvement in detection rate compared with the conventional alsorithm for nodules size of 10mm.

In this paper, it is introduced about Auto-Tuning Method which applied to Expert Controller. This method constructs heuristic knowledge of the tuning experiment in order to realize relay tuning theory of Astrom &. Hagglund. This method applies to various Plant and showes utility which is used for Controller design of PID group. Result of simulation showed superiority for speed reponse and robustness of all Plant.

Desmoid tumor is found most often in the anterior abdominal wall of parous women. Although it may originate in virtually any musculotendinous structure, those of the chest wall are rare. We experienced a case of large dumb bell shaped desmoid tumor originated in intercostal muscle and invaded anterior chest wall, pericardium, pleura and the lung. The patient was healthy in appearance except a painful swelling on the anterior chest wall. Roentgenographic studies demonstrated a huge homogenous mass in the right anterior chest cavity. He was treated with resection of the tumor including .anterior chest wall, a portion of the pericardium, middle lobe, and part of upper & lower lobes of the right lung because of tumor invasion. The tumor composed with two parts, one [$5{\times}4{\times}3$cm in size] is over the rib cage and another [$10{\times}15{\times}10$cm in size] is in the right chest cavity. Postoperative course was uneventful and there was no evidence of recurrence until last visit, 5 months after surgery.

Taumatic pulmonary pseudocyst is a rare complication of chest bunt trauma. Recently, we experienced a case of traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst in right lower lobe. The patient`s anterior chest was directly strucken by steering wheel and his car was intervened between two cars. He complained of both chest pain and dyspnea. He was diagnosed as multiple rib fractures with pulmonary contusion, initially. And then the right pulmonary lesion changed to traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst in 10 days after trauma. He was treated sucessfully with conservative management. In this article, we present the case and review the traumatic pulmonary pseudocyst with related articles.
