  • This paper reviews the applicabilities and the problems of copyright law and patent law to the computer-related intellectual properties such as data bases and computer softwares, with special reference to the practices in the advanced countries like U.S., U.K., and Japan. It also discusses Japanese proposals of-the new computer program right law which has been based on entirely different concepts of new media. The author concludes that the legal protection devices of any individual countries should be considered in the context of the eventual international agreements.

  • Recently, in computer graphics, researches on 3D animations have been very active. one of the important research areas in 3D animation is animation of human being. The creation and animation of 3D facial models has depended on animators' manual work frame by frame. Thus, it needs many efforts and time as well as various hardwares and softwares. In this paper, we implements a way to generation 3D human face model easily and quickly just with the front face images. Then, we suggests a methodology for mesh data simplification of 3D generic model.

  • It requires different safety programs from those of the typical train control systems to develop AGT systems applying train control system based on communication technology. Especially Advanced LRT system involves the processes that have the various safety functions being conducted by softwares and also have characteristics that should have special interest in validation of interface specification. The core items for the safety engineering for LRT control systems are hardware & software engineering, safety-critical system safety engineering, application software validation & verification technologies. In this paper the trends of the technologies for the mentioned core-items are described.

  • The test and evaluation is a integal part of the radar development process and it consists of two parts, field test and in-house test using a standard simulated signal. To take the in-house test, the test environment is needed to generate the critical signal that is used to determine the system design parameters and consists of general urpose measurement equipments, specialized boards and operating softwares. This paper presents the in-house test environment configuration and its function for radar system. Because this test environment genrates the simulated radar signal which has arbitrary flight path and target condition, the developed test environment makes easily to evaluate the function for radar system. The program ability of test parameters makes it possible to apply a test for 2D and 3D radar system.

  • A microcomputerized biomedical signal processing system has been designed and fabricated. Softwares for this system have also been developed to record and analyze ECG and EEG waveforms. In this systenm, the vectorcardiogram of ECG waveforms is formed automatically and displayed on CRT with of her usefull cardiac information. The frequency components of EEG waveform can also be analyzed in this system and the analyzed spectrum is displayed on CRT.

  • The Freelz is an EMG (ElectroMyoGraphy)-based controller for the tetraplegic utilizing a power wheelchair by teeth-clenching. The EMG signals activated by teeth-clenching are acquired around user's temples. The controller contains hardwares and softwares for acquiring EMGs, classifying patterns, and controlling a power wheelchair. Also, a comparison test is executed with a conventional controlling method for the tetraplegic.

  • Under the concept of global economy, the enterprises are assigning design and production environments around the world in different areas. In shipbuilding companies, a serious problem of information exchange emerges as companies use traditional hardware and very distinct softwares appropriate to their field of expertise. To overcome the decreased productivity due to the interruption of information, the concept of simultaneous engineering and concurrent design becomes very significant. In this article, the concept of collaborative design based on internet environments is described. Especially, the core technologies to achieve collaborative design environments among shipbuilding companies, ship owners, ship classification societies, model basin, and consulting companies are adopted.

  • We introduce the characteristics and performance of the 0.25m telescope at Mangpo high school Unmanned Robotic Observatory (MURO) which was established in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeongi-do, KOREA in 2015 January. MURO system included Astrohaven 2.1m non-rotation fiberglass clamshell dome, Paramount MEII mount, Takahashi CCA 0.25m wide field telescope, FLI PL 16803 4K CCD with 7-positions filter wheel system, all sky camera and point grey wide field camera, IR 4 chanel heat sensor camera for security, DAVIS realtime weather cast, and power controled by ARS system. All control softwares are from off-the-shelf products based on Windows 7 OS to be easily operated and maintained. We expect to perform variety of science programs ranging from supernovae follow-up observation to narrow band imaging survey as well as science class activities at Mangpo high school.

  • In this paper, to realize the network management function in automated manufacturing network Mini-MAP, the network management requirements are analyzed and the network management system is implemented on the basis of this analysis. The implemented management system which has both local management and remote management mechanism is considered as a single domain on the Mini-MAP network. Here, the remote management functions consist of network status, monitoring and remote operations and the local management functions have parameter display and network self testing. The MAP network controller is designed according to the MAP version 3.0 specifications and IEEE 802 standards. the operations of network management system are certified througth the test environments which consists of the implemented network adaptor and softwares for Mini-MAP.

The Content and Format Development of Financial Counseling Program on the Internet (인터넷 재무상담 프로그램의 내용과 양식 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This paper analyzed some financial counseling cases on the internet and suggested a framework for the improved financial counseling. Data of 392 financial counseling cases were gathered from the site bulletin board whose members were mostly housewives. The largely demanded contents of counseling were about 1) general financial procedures and the evaluation of household financial condition, 2) saving and investment, 3) buying and canceling insurance, and 4) debt repayment and debt availability. Based on the data analysis, a special format which requires on the personal and financial information of consumers was developed. In a way to help counselors and clients far questions asked often, FAQs is also suggested. Finally the arrangement and development of financial planning related softwares were investigated.
