Media GIS Web Service Architecture using Three-Dimensional GIS Database

  • In this paper, we propose Media GIS web service architecture using 3D geographical database and GPS-related data resulted from 4S-Van. We introduce a novel interoperable geographical data service concept; so-called, Virtual World Mapping (VWM) that can map 3D graphic world with real-world video. Our proposed method can easily retrieve geographical in-formation and attributes to reconstruct 3D virtual space according to certain frame in video sequences. Our proposed system architecture also has an advantage that can provide geographical information service with video stream without any image processing procedures. In addition to, describing the details of our components, we present a Media GIS web service system by using GeoVideo Server, which performs VWM technique.

  • As a result of the technological advances in the E / E system, automotive system can provide advanced functions for safety and comfort. In addition, mechanical systems is changed to the electronic system. And the systems perform cooperative functions through communication. So the E / E system becomes more complicated as the size of the system increases. In order to secure the safety of complicated E / E system, ISO26262 standard require that Freedom from Interference and Sufficient Independence be met. In this paper, we propose a software scheduling method that can guarantee the independence between decomposed components after software decomposition and software development of ASIL D level EPB (Electronic Parking Brake) system.

  • The expansion of new applications and business models is being significantly fueled by the development of Fifth Generation (5G) networks, which are becoming more widely accessible. The creation of the newest intelligent vehicular networks and applications is made possible by the use of Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) and Software Defined Networking (SDN). Researchers have been concentrating on the integration of SDN and VANET in recent years, and they have examined a variety of issues connected to the architecture, the advantages of software-defined VANET services, and the new features that can be added to them. However, the overall architecture's security and robustness are still in doubt and have received little attention. Furthermore, new security threats and vulnerabilities are brought about by the deployment and integration of novel entities and a number of architectural components. In this study, we comprehensively examine the good and negative effects of the most recent SDN-enabled vehicular network topologies, focusing on security and privacy. We examine various security flaws and attacks based on the existing SDVN architecture. Finally, a thorough discussion of the unresolved concerns and potential future study directions is provided.

In this study, we comprehensively examine the good and negative effects of the most recent SDN-enabled vehicular network topologies, focusing on security and privacy. We examine various security flaws and attacks based on the existing SDVN architecture. Finally, a thorough discussion of the unresolved concerns and potential future study directions is provided.

  • The lifetime of power train components can be improved dramatically by finding crack initiation points with suitable software tools and optimization of the critical areas. With increasing capacities of computers the prediction of the lifetime for components by numerical methods gets more and more important. This paper discusses some applications of the outstanding fatigue simulation program FEMFAT supporting the assessment of uniaxially and multiaxially loaded components (as well as welding seams and spot joints). The theory applied in FEMFAT differs in some aspects from classical approaches like the nominal stress concept or the local one and can be characterized by the term "influence parameter method". The specimen S/N-curve is locally modified by different influence parameters as stress-gradient to take into account notch effects, mean-stress influence which is quantified by means of a Haigh-diagram, surface roughness and treatments, temperature, technological size, etc. It is possible to consider plastic deformations resulting in mean-stress rearrangements. The dynamic loading of power train components is very often multiaxial, e.g. the stress state at each time is not proportional to one single stress state. Hence, the directions of the principal axes vary with time. We will present the way how such complex load situations can be handled with FEMFAT by the examples of a crank case and a gear box.

  • This paper proposes analyses of characteristics and the technical components of Korean enterprise network. Based on a survey from professionals of Korean companies, we present statistical summaries of building blocks of hardware and software of the networks implemented in Korean companies. We also perform statistical analyses to find the relationships among the technical components and to extract major technical factors that differentiate enterprise networks by the business types and the size of the companies. We conclude that some of the technical factors are closely correlated and some of them are found to differentiate networks by the business types and the size of the companies.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the components of SME's information infrastructure through literature review, empirically investigate the components, and develop a model for SME's information infrastructure. The fact that SME's are having difficulties in building their own information infrastructure due to the limitation of capital investment, technology, and manpower is the main motive for the study The survey questionnaires were distributed to CEO's and users of 3W SME's and intensive interviews were cornea out to CIO's and information services personnel to further investigate H/W and S/W components of Information Infrastructure. The study results show that there seems to be five main factors for SME's information infrastructure. They are: (1) Informatization Capacity, (2) Software and Network, (3) Management Recognition and Utilization, (4) Hardware, and (5) Alignment between Users and Information Services.

  • In a large scale robot system, one of important problems is software integration, which involves three elements: modularity, reusability and stability. By these issues, the degree of convenience of system integration, its required time and the performance of the system stability can be determined. In addition, the convenience of system management can be determined by the degree of completion of service components. This paper explains the template based service component (TBSC) for the integration of service components in networked robot. The important characteristics of TBSC are automatical execution and recovery process by a PnP supporting robot framework, which helps a system operator to manage a robot system comfortably. For easy implementation and system stability, we provide a service component creator and a verification tool to developers.

  • In this paper, the framework for accelerating the development of personal robots is presented, which includes the technology such as modularization with its own processing and standardization open to the other developers. Its basic elements are Module-D(Module of DRP I) characterized functionally and VM-D(Virtual Machine of DRP I) arbitrating Module-Ds. They can suggest the effective ways for integrating various robotic components and interfacing among them. Based on this framework, we developed a fully modularized personal robot called DRP I(Dynamically Reconfigurable Personal robot). Its hardware components are easily attached to and detached from the whole system. In addition, each software of the components is functionally distributed. For the materialization of the proposed idea, we mainly focus on the dynamically reconfigurable feature of DRP I.
