빅카인즈 분석을 활용한 플로깅 문화와 프로스포츠 분야의 동향 분석 (Analysis on Trends in Plogging Culture and Professional Sports Using BIG KINDS Analysis)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스포츠분야 '플로깅'에 관한 주요 키워드와 사회현상을 분석하고 중요 정보를 도출하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 한국언론진흥재단에서 제공하는 뉴스분석시스템 빅카인즈(BIG Kinds)를 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석기간은 2018년부터 2022년이며, 수집된 뉴스 5,148건 중 스포츠분야에 해당하는 42건을 최종적으로 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석방법은 빈도분석, 관계도분석, 연관어분석을 실시하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스포츠분야 '플로깅' 관련 빈도 분석 결과, '제주', '선수들', '구국제마라톤대회', 'SSG', '이봉주 선수' 등의 키워드를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 스포츠분야 '플로깅' 관련 관계도분석 결과, '코로나19', '국가대표', '엘리트', '마스터즈', '코로나' 등의 키워드를 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 스포츠분야 '플로깅' 관련 연관어분석 결과, '합성어', '봉사활동', '마스터즈 비대면', '제주', '선수들' 등의 키워드를 확인할 수 있었다. 국내 프로스포츠 분야의 플로깅은 국제 스포츠기구의 탄소중립실천을 위한 환경 활동 참여와 프로구단의 홍보를 목적으로 적극 활용하는 것으로 나타났다.

부산항 항만안전 주요 이슈 동향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Trends of Key Issues in Port Safety at Busan Port)

  • 글로벌 공급망에 예측 불가능한 위험성이 확산되면서 세계의존도가 높은 항만물류산업의 위험부담이 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기초적인 연구로 국내 항만의 안전성에 위험을 주는 다양한 이슈들을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 부산항의 항만안전과 관련된 뉴스 기사 데이터를 활용하여 LDA토픽모델링 분석과 시계열 선형회귀분석을 진행하였고 부산항 항만안전 주요 이슈들의 변화와 그 동향을 파악하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 지난 30년동안 부산항 항만안전과 관련된 주요 이슈는 총 9개이며 이들을 5년 주기의 시기별로 살펴본 결과, 지난 30년 동안 해상안전 이슈, 수입화물 검역 안전 이슈, 노조파업 관련 이슈, 자연재해 관련 이슈가 지속해서 등장했다. 부산항 항만안전 주요 이슈는 주로 예측 불가능한 성격이 큰 사회환경적 유형과 자연현상적 유형으로 글로벌 불확실성의 영향을 많이 받고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 분석 결과로 도출된 항만안전 주요 이슈들을 위주로 부산항 항만안전 강화를 위한 정책을 체계적으로 수립할 필요가 있으며 예측 불가능한 위험상황을 대비한 부산항 항만안전 회복탄력성을 강화할 필요가 있다. 끝으로 다양하게 변화하는 사회적 여건에 맞춰 항만안전 강화를 도모할 수 있는 선진적인 연구 활동이 필요할 것이다.

  • 이 논문의 목적은 한국의 주술적 장식물인 북어, 복조리, 소코뚜레, 명주실의 상징성의 기원을 밝히는 것이다. 기존 연구들은 주로 이 장식물들의 모양이나 기능에 근거하여 주술적 의미를 해석했으나, 이러한 설명은 사후적 해석일 가능성이 높다는 한계를 지니고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 장식물들의 상징성이 당시의 사회경제적 특성에서 비롯되었다고 주장한다. 열거한 주술적 장식물들은 당대 사람들의 경제 활동과 밀접한 관련이 있는 식량자원이나 상품이었으며, 따라서 풍요와 재복(財福)의 상징으로 여겨질 수 있었다. 특히 북어는 조선 시대에 중요한 식량자원이자 상품으로 준화폐 기능까지 했었고, 세계 여러 문화권에서 물고기가 풍요와 다산의 상징으로 여겨진 점을 고려할 때 그 상징성이 더욱 명확해진다. 복조리와 소코뚜레는 쌀과 소 같은 당대 주요 재화와 연관되어 풍요의 의미를 획득했고, 명주실은 농가의 중요한 수입원인 양잠업과 관련되었다. 이러한 사회경제적 특성이 이들 장식물 상징성의 기저를 이루며, 액막이 기능은 이러한 의미가 사회적으로 정당화되는 과정에서 추가된 2차적 상징성으로 볼 수 있다. 이 연구는 주술-종교적 관습의 기저에 경제적 동기가 자리 잡고 있음을 드러내며, 문화 현상의 기원과 변화를 이해하기 위해 당대의 문화생태적 환경을 폭넓게 고려할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

북한 협상모델 분석을 통한 경제협력 실천방안 연구 - 남북 군사협상 및 개성공단 실무회담 사례를 중심으로- (Study on the Economic Co-operation action by analyzing the North Korea's Military Negotiations - Focusing on Inter-Korean Military Talks and working level talks about Gaeseong industrial complex -)

  • 현재 남북관계는 그동안의 교착상태에서 벗어나 교류협력의 핵심적인 실무 협상단계를 진행하고 있으며 향후 남북한 당국간 회담은 더욱 증가될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 대한 체계적이고 효율적인 협상대책이 필요한 시점이다. 사회과학의 목적이 사회현상의 설명과 예측에 있다고 본다면 현 시점에서 1953년 7월 27일 정전협정이 체결된 이후 한국의 군사대표단으로 구성된 인원들이 북한 군부 대표들과 군사문제를 논의한 군사협상의 대표적인 남북국방장관회담, 남북장성급군사회담, 남북군사실무회담을 분석해보면 향후 협상에 대한 새로운 정보를 획득할 수 있는 사항이다. 본 연구는 김정일 시대 북한의 대남 군사협상행태에 대해 총체적 차원에서 분석, 평가하였다. 북한 김일성의 회고록 '세기와 더불어'에 제시된 항일유격대 시절 각종 협상을 분석하여 군사협상에 대한 "항일유격대식 협상모델"의 분석틀을 제시하여 김정일시대 군사협상의 행태가 협상모델의 틀속에서 진행되고 있음을 증명하고자 하였다. 증명 결과를 바탕으로 항일유격대식 협상모델의 특성을 활용하여 향후 예상되는 각종 남북회담, 특히 남북관계 개선과 한반도의 평화를 제고 시킬 수 있는 남북 군사회담에 대한 효율적인 대책과 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이와 같은 결과를 근거로 2013년 김정은시대에 실시되었던 경제분야의 개성공단 실무협상에서도 항일유격대식 협상모델의 적용 여부를 분석해 보았다. 이것은 군사협상의 모델인 항일유격대식 협상모델이 일반협상에서도 적용할 수 있음을 증명하여 북한과의 제반 협상에 대비하고자 함이다. 즉 북한과의 각종 경제협상에 대비한 통상정보의 활용측면과 개성공단 실무협상 분석을 통하여 경제협력 실천방안을 찾아보고자 한다.

영화 <부러진 화살>의 정서적 이중성 (Movie 's Emotional Ambivalence)

  • 영화는 색(色)과 음(音), 그리고 연상 작용에 의한 향(香)을 공감각화한 비쥬얼 스토리텔링이며, 관객이 감각적으로 영화적 사건을 체험하게 한다. 관객은 영화적 이야기에 몰입함으로써 현실세계에서 분리된 객석의 자아를 통해 영화적 세계, 즉 압축된 시 공간의 장(場)에서 억압되고 병치된 인간의 원형적 감정, 쾌락, 공포, 두려움을 재경험하게 된다. 본 연구는 영화 <부러진 화살>을 통해 관객의 쾌감과 두려움의 감정을 볼 것이다. 먼저 쾌감은 니체의 "힘에의 의지"의 관점에서 볼 것이다. 니체는 숨 쉬고, 움직이며, 의지가 있는 것이 살아있는 생명적 존재라고 정의하고, 그것의 동력은 힘에의 의지라고 주장한다. "인간은 힘을 요구하고, 얻고자 하고, 증대시키려 하며 소망한다. 이것이 인간행위와 현상의 원인이다. 또한 인간은 자기보존충동이 있고, 그것은 심적 동기인 쾌감추구로서 작동한다". 우리는 힘의 관점에서 일반적인 심적 동기로서의 쾌감을 <부러진 화살>의 관객의 기쁨과 연계시켜 볼 것이다. 관객은 개념적 약자로서 가난한 자, 여성, 성적 소수자 등등의 도전과 승리에서 자기 보존적 본능을, 즉 쾌감을 느낀다. 이어 관객의 불안, 공포, 두려움의 징후들을 라캉의 정신분석학에 나오는 '아버지의 이름 Name-of-the-Father'의 관점에서 분석할 것이다. 라캉은 프로이트의 이드, 자아, 초자아의 개념을 실재계, 상상계, 상징계로 확장하고, 이 계(界)들 가운데 상징계(질서세계)에서 '아버지의 이름'을 언급한다. 익히 알려진 것처럼 소쉬르가 "일반 언어학 강의"에서 언어의 기본적 구조로서 기표와 기의를 규명하였고, 이에 근거하여 라캉은 '아버지의 이름'을 사회화의 기본적 기표로, 그리고 연결장치로서 제시한다. 아버지의 이름은 법의 상징이자 은유로서, 그의 부재와 그에 대한 항거는 사회의 불안으로 직결된다. 마지막으로 자기 보존적 본능에서 촉발되는 저항의 쾌감과 법(질서)의 부재에서 오는 두려움, 이러한 본래적 감정이 진보와 보수의 가치관에 연계되어 있음도 함께 고찰하고자 한다.

웹툰 통계 분석을 통한 한국 웹툰의 특징 (Features of Korean Webtoons through the Statistical Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 부산대학교 연구팀이 2013년 12월부터 약 2개월간 한국만화영상원의 의뢰를 받아 2000년 초부터 2013년까지 원고료를 지급받고 공식매체에서 연재된 한국 웹툰을 전수 조사한 '한국 웹툰DB 및 흐름 정리 연구' 자료를 토대로 통계 분석한 자료이다. 웹에 연재되는 만화를 의미하는 Webtoon은 전통적인 출판만화의 쇠퇴와 사회적 환경의 변화로 2000년대 이후 한국만화의 대표적 형식이자 주류 산업으로 발전해 왔으며, 현재 한국을 대표하는 문화콘텐츠로 불리고 있다. 본 조사연구는 웹툰이 시작된 2000년대 초부터 2014년 1월까지 총 13여 년간에 걸친 우리나라 웹툰 중에서 원고료를 받고 매체에 정식연재가 된 웹툰을 대상으로 수집, 정리되었다. 이 데이터를 토대로 작가, 작품의 수와 매체별 분포도, 장르와 연재 주기 등 전반적인 웹툰의 특성을 분석했다. 데이터 분석과 통계작업을 통해 살펴본 한국의 웹툰은 주요 포털의 연재 비중이 아직 높지만 서서히 플랫폼의 다변화가 진행되고 있으며, 작품의 연재 주기는 갈수록 짧아지는 경향을 보이고 있다. 장르적 특성으로는 드라마, 개그, 판타지, 액션 등의 만화의 전통적 인기장르는 여전히 건재하며 최근 사회적 트렌드에 맞게 역사물, 스포츠, 요리 등의 분야가 증가추세에 있다. 웹툰의 활용도 면으로는 릴레이 웹툰, 브랜드 웹툰과 같은 이벤트와 PPL식 상업성을 표방한 새로운 형태의 웹툰도 등장하고 있다. 이와 같은 현상은 작가와 매체, 발주자의 공동이익이 실현되는 한편, 나아가 웹툰의 가능성을 다양하게 실험하는 시도라고 할 수 있다. 그리고 웹툰의 저변확대가 활발해 지면서 성인물의 증가세도 눈여겨 볼만 하다. 본 연구대상은 무료웹툰을 제외한 원고료를 받는 작품을 기준으로 했으나 온라인 사이트의 속성 상 폐쇄되거나 유실된 작가와 작품을 모두 수집하지 못한 한계를 갖고 있으며, 무료 웹툰을 총망라한 전수조사가 앞으로 필요하다 하겠다. 그럼에도 한국 웹툰을 최초로 정식매체와 작품, 작가, 장르를 분류 조사하고 이를 토대로 웹툰의 현재를 가늠해 보는 기초자료로서의 의미를 찾고자 한다. 이 연구를 바탕으로 후속 웹툰연구가 활성화되고 보완되는 자료들이 한국의 만화산업과 학문적인 자료로서 활용되길 기대한다.

노인의 건강증진을 위한 율동적 운동프로그램의 적용효과 (An Application Effect of Rhythmic Movement Program for the Health Promotion in the Elderly)

  • Every year the number of the elderly increases in Korea thanks to the improvemen of social and economical levels and the development of medicine. However, many problems such as insufficent care and the isolation of the elderly have been commonplace. This trend exists not only because of increased lifespan but also the changing social structure of the nuclear family. Accordingly, inspite of the development of medicine, geriatric diseases including circulatory diseases are increasing in proportion of elderly population, as well as the severity. Therefore, it is important to emphasize that health care programs provide the best possible health care and functional capacities in terms of healthy elderly lifestyles. Especially, the phenomena of aging and geriatric diseases taking place with the elderly naturally are affected by lifestyle and the drastic changes in exercise patterns. This study aims to improve geriatric health by introducing a rhythmic movement program for the elderly to estabilish a health-promoting self-care system and by developing quality of life, perceived health status, their physical and physiological functions and emotional state. The theoretical framework used in this dissertation is derived from the Health-Promoting Self-Care System Model (Simmons, 1990), which integrates the Self-Care Deficit Nursing Theory (Orem, 1985), the interaction model of Client Health Behavior (Cox, 1982) and the Health Promotion Model (Pender, 1987). As a quasi-experimental design, the nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design is utilized for this study. The subjects of this study consist of 64 people, over 65 years old who live in 2 nursing homes for the aged located in S city , Kyong-gi province and volunteered for this study from July, 12, 1999 to September, 17, 1999. They are divided into two groups:33 in the experimental group and 31 in the control group. The experimental group particpated in the Rhythmic Movement Program at the nursing home, which was comprised of 45 minutes a session, 5 sessions a week during 9 weeks. In order to measure the results of the Rhythmic Movement Program, aspects of perceived health status, balance, flexibility, grip strength, leg strength, heart rate, blood pressure, depression, anxiety and the quality of life were measured before and after participating in the Rhythimic Movement Program for the experimental group after 9 weeks, as well as the control group. The collected data were processed by SPSS PC+ and analyzed by the X2 test, t-test, ANCOVA and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The perceived health status conditions in the experimental group show statistically significant improvement when compared to the control group (F=17.51, p=.000). 2. The physical and physiological functions, that is, balance (F=17.51, p=.000), flexibility (F=8.01, p=.006), grip strength (F=3.21, p=.018) and leg strength (F=25.78, p=.000) in the experimental group are higher than the control group. The vital signs, that is, the number of heart rate (F=.022, p=.884), systolic pressure (F=1.73 p=.193), and diastolic pressure (F=2.74, p=.103) in the experimental group compared to the control group decreased, but doesn't show statistically significant differences. Immune responses (F=5.13, p=.003) showed statistically significant increases in the experimental group when compared to the control group. 3. The emotional state are improved, that is, degree of depression (F=11.56, p=.001) and degree of anxiety (F=9.14, p=.004) in the experimental group showed statistically significant decreases. 4. The quality of life in the experimental group (F=3.03, p=.037) showed statistically significant differences compared to the control group. 5. The observations of the relationships among the perceived health status, emotional state , the quality of life, the relationships between the perceived health status, the degree of depression (r=-.653, p=.000) and the degree of anxiety (r=-.786, p=.000) were in contrary propotions, while the relationships between the perceived health status and the quality of life (r=.234, p=.008) were in direct propotion. In conclusion, the Rhythmic Movement Program used in this study for geriatric nursing care is simple and safe for application to the elderly and shows significant effects by implementing 5 sessions a week for 9 weeks. The Rhythmic Movement Program improves the quality of life, maintains as well as improves the physical and physiological fuctions and emotional state, therefore this program is strongly recommended for positive applications for independant geriatric nursing health care.

문화변용이론의 시각에서 본 우리나라 공공도서관의 발전과정 (Growth of the Korean Public Library from the Point View of Acculturation)

  • The concept of the public library defined by the Korean Library Association does not describe the current state of the Korean public library but describes the public libraries in the western society. Korean public library was formed after the western public library but it was modified and reconciled with the tradition of Korea. The difference between the concepts occured in the acculturation process of the Korean public library. According to the International Encyclopeadia of the Social Sciences, acculturation comprehends those phenomena which result when groups of individuals having different cultures come into continuous firsthand contact, with subsequent changes in the original cultural patterns of either of both groups. Korea opened its door to western world in 1876, and it began to contact with the western world. As the consequence, the concept of the public library of the West diffused to Lee Dynasty which were characterized by the confucianism and the extended family system. These two characteristics were against the public library concept and it could not function as it was and it had to be modified to fit to Korean society. The American public library was formed by the diffusion of English public library. The concept fitted in the colonial American society which was characterized by the Christianity and nuclear family system. Religion and family life were closely knitted together and they contributed much to the formation of the American public library. Also the society needed various information to form their new nation. The need of the public library grew and the public library repidly developed as the American society was urbanized and industrialized. The changes of Korean public library has passed the following process of acculturation. 1. The Korean culture contacted with Western world. 2. The public library concept diffused to Korea, but the people were illiterate and the need of the public library was for the preservation of the old books. The collection was not for people. 3. The function of the public library in Korea was altered slightly as several intellectuals who formed the first modern public library tried to literate Koreans as a means of liberation :from Japan through the library service. 4. The traditional libraries such as sodandg and hyangyo disorganized and finally disappeared as the traditional elements of the culture disappeared and the new cultural elements prevailed in Korea. 5. When the traditional elements of culture were disorganized, a reinterpretation of the diffused culture appeared. With the appearance of the vouth group which was not existed in the traditional society, cultural facilities for them were needed. They began to use public library as their reading rooms. This pattern has been institutionalized ever since in Korean public library. 6. When the new element of the culture spread, the traditional cultural elements react against this element. As the new public libraries sprung out, there were movements to restore the old Korean tradition of the family libraries and Hyangyo to counteract to the new libraries. This movements were not successful and they all disappeared as they could not keep up the rapid social change occurred in the Korean society. 7. In the process of the cultral change, cultural lag occurred between the public library and the users who could not adopt to the new library. This has been continued to the present time. 8. This diffused concept of the public library was modified and became native to Korean society. However, the acculturation of the public library concept has not changed the traditional ideas of Korean people and their behavior. The Korean society recently has been changing rapidly and the function of the Korean public library is improving accordingly; 1. The extended Korean family system is disorganizing. As the consequence, the public library could substitute the family system offering information and recreation service, etc. 2. The growth of educated population is requiring a variety of library materials. An individual library can not meet the needs of them and cooperative library service will be needed to share resources. The public library will become the center of the cooperative service. 3. The Koreans are watching TV more hours than they read printed materials. For them, the public library needs to collect audiovisual materials. Especially the teaching materials should be all audiovisualized for the effective teaching. 4. Technology is developing rapidly in Korea, especially computer technology is applied in many parts of the society. This will also influence library service. The public library will be developing as the centralized library computer system. When the Korean public library functions as the extended family system and the center of the cooperative library system, the Korean public library will be functioning as the public library defined by the Korean Library Association.

한국인 혼인행태 변화분석 (Analysis on Change in Korean Marriage Behaviors)

  • This study aims at identifying the recent change in marriage behaviors in Korea. The data used here is the vital statistics compiled from the vital registration system of which registration form is put on one from together with the civil registration form. According to the results of this analysis, since 1970 the number of marriages has steadily increased from about 300, 000 in the former of 1970s to about 400, 000 in the latter of 1980s, appproximately coincided with the change in population size at the marriageable age span. The few exceptions that can be seen in the 1970s seem to result from the impact of social upheavals during 1950s; since the birth cohorts affected by the low fertility during the Korean war and the post-war baby-boom generations chracterized by the high fertility entered the marriage market in the 1970s. However, the marriage rate shows a little increase from around 7 in the former of 1970s to around 9 in the latter of 1980s, indicating that the marriage prevalence has been more or less inconsiderably changed during this period. It is also found that the proportion of remarriage to the total marriages has increased to around 10 per cent in 1989, while decreasing that of first marriage. This fact can be attributable to the higher prevalence of divorces and the collapsing of the Confucianism ethic which contributed to expediting the remarriage of widows. Although this proportion is insignificant compared with that of the of more developed countries, it is not difficult to say that the proportion of remarriages will continue to increase in future. The age first at first marriage(AFM) which directly affects the span exposed to the risks pregnancy has increased to the age about 28 for male and about 25 for female in recent years. However, big difference in AFM between urban and rural areas has narrowed, resultant from the increasing involuntary postponement of marriage of rural young population who have met difficulties in seeking their bride or bridegroom in rural areas characterized by the heavy out-migration of young, particularly female, population. The present study shows the reverse relationship between AFM and educational attainment; i.e, the higher the educational attainment the lower the AFM. The conditions which are taken into considerations were the class and the family in the past time but which are, educational attainment, job and personal characteristics. With regard to the age condition, in recent years the male prefers the female younger than himself on the average by 3 years and vice versa, which is reduced form 4-5 years in beginning of 1970s. The age difference bride and bridegroom tends to decrease with the educational attainment increase. This may be attributable to the fact that the persons with the higher educational attainment prefer the love marriage and hence are more likely to choose their counterparts in the about same age. The education condition is characterized by the bridegroom having the higher educational level than bride. It is also significant to note that the proportion of love marriage has increased, whereas that of traditional arranged marriage has decreased. This is true in the urban areas than the rural areas, indicating that rights as well as responsibilities for marriage have been handed over the young population from their parents. In conclusion, the change in the marriage behaviors in Korea are characterized by increasing tendency for the postponement of first marriage, higher prevalences of divorces and a result remarriages, increase of love marriages, narrowing age difference between bride and bridegroom, etc. which are the main results of rapid industrization, increase in educational and economic activity opportunities and change in the ideals of marriages during the past decades. These phenomena prevailing in Korean society would affect not only the family structure that will become less proliferiated but the population size and structure. The most important is that the changes in marriage behaviors of Koreans and their impact on the society with respect to norms, values, morals, of individual and family in the social aspect, change in population size and structure in the demograpic aspects, and economic development in the economic aspects should be integrated into the plannings towards to the future.

6-7세기의 동남아 힌두 미술 - 인도 힌두미술의 전파와 초기의 변용 - (Southeast Asian Hindu Art from the 6th to the 7th Centuries)

  • The relics of the Southeast Asian civilizations in the first phase are found with the relics from India, China, and even further West of Persia and Rome. These relics are the historic marks of the ancient interactions of various continents, mainly through the maritime trade. The traces of the indic culture, which appears in the historic age, are represented in the textual records and arts, regarded as the essence of the India itself. The ancient Hindu arts found in various locations of Southeast Asia were thought to be transplanted directly from India. However, Neither did the Gupta Hindu Art of India form the mainstream of the Gupta Art, nor did it play an influential role in the adjacent areas. The Indian culture was transmitted to Southeast Asia rather intermittently than consistently. If we thoroughly compare the early Hindu art of India and that of Southeast Asia, we can find that the latter was influenced by the former, but still sustained Southeast Asian originality. The reason that the earliest Southeast Asian Hindu art is discovered mostly in continental Southeast Asia is resulted from the fact that the earliest networks between India and the region were constructed in this region. Among the images of Hindu gods produced before the 7th century are Shiva, Vishnu, Harihara, and Skanda(the son of Shiva), and Ganesha(the god of wealth). The earliest example of Vishnu was sculpted according to the Kushan style. After that, most of the sculptures came to have robust figures and graceful proportions. There are a small number of images of Ganesha and Skanda. These images strictly follow the iconography of the Indian sculpture. This shows that Southeast Asians chose their own Hindu gods from the Hindu pantheon selectively and devoted their faiths to them. Their basic iconography obediently followed the Indian model, but they tried to transform parts of the images within the Southeast Asian contexts. However, it is very difficult to understand the process of the development of the Hindu faith and its contents in the ancient Southeast Asia. It is because there are very few undamaged Hindu temples left in Southeast Asia. It is also difficult to make sure that the Hindu religion of India, which was based on the complex rituals and the caste system, was transplanted to Southeast Asia, because there were no such strong basis of social structure and religion in the region. "Indianization" is an organized expansion of the Indian culture based on the sense of belonging to an Indian context. This can be defined through the process of transmission and progress of the Hindu or Buddhist religions, legends about purana, and the influx of various epic expression and its development. Such conditions are represented through the Sanskrit language and the art. It is the element of the Indian culture to fabricate an image of god as a devotional object. However, if we look into details of the iconography, style, and religious culture, these can be understood as a "selective reception of foreign religious culture." There were no sophisticated social structure yet to support the Indian culture to continue in Southeast Asia around the 7th century. Whether this phenomena was an "Indianization" or the "influx of elements of Indian culture," it was closely related to the matter of 'localization.' The regional character of each local region in Southeast Asia is partially shown after the 8th century. However it is not clear whether this culture was settled in each region as its dominant culture. The localization of the Indian culture in Southeast Asia which acted as a network connecting ports or cities was a part of the process of localization of Indian culture in pan-Southeast Asian region, and the process of the building of the basis for establishing an identity for each Southeast Asian region.
