본 연구는 한국 사회복지학 연구방법론에 대한 분석과 고찰을 통하여 질적 연구방법의 사회복지학에 대한 유용성을 논의하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 사회복지학의 가장 대표적인 학술지인 "한국사회복지학"에 실린 학술논문 538편을 연구 방법론에 초점을 두고 분석한다. 분석 결과, 우리나라 사회복지학은 양적 연구방법에의 과도한 편향이 매우 극심한 상황인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 1990년대 중반이 되면서 이러한 한계가 지적되어 질적 연구방법을 활용한 논문들이 등장하기 시작하는데, 엄밀성 측면에서 볼 때 방법의 적절성과 수준은 매우 제한적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 한국 사회복지학 연구방법론의 동향 분석과 함께 본 연구는 질적 연구방법의 특성과 유형을 정리하면서 한국 사회복지학과 질적 연구방법의 적합성(fitness) 즉 '질적 연구방법이 왜 필요한가' 그리고 '그 유용성은 무엇인가'를 중심으로 논의를 전개한다. 이러한 논의를 통하여 본 연구는 한국 사회복지학의 양적 연구방법에 편향된 상황에 대한 문제를 제기하며, 사회현상의 본질과 실재를 이해하기 위해서는 하나의 방법론이나 패러다임에 얽매이지 않고 사회과학의 많은 연구방법을 적절하게 활용하는 것이 매우 중요함을 제시한다.

Social networking services have changed the way people communicate. Rapid growth of information generated by social networking services requires effective search methods to give useful results. Over the last decade, social search methods have rapidly evolved. Traditional techniques become unqualified because they ignore social relation data. Existing social recommendation approaches consider social network structure, but social context has not been fully considered. Especially, the friend recommendation is an important feature of SNSs. People tend to trust the opinions of friends they know rather than the opinions of strangers. In this paper, we propose a levelized data processing method for social search in ubiquitous environment. We study previous researches about social search methods in ubiquitous environment. Our method is a new paradigm of levelelized data processing method which can utilize information in social networks, using location and friendship weight. Several experiments are performed and the results verify that the proposed method's performance is better than other existing method.

The purpose of the present study is 1) to explain major effect models (main, moderating, and mediating) of social support and statistical methods for testing the effect models and 2) to analyze and evaluate the consistency in the use of the effect models and its statistical methods in Korean nursing studies. A total of 57 studies were selected from Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing, Journal of Korean Academic Society of Adult Nursing, Journal of Korean Women's Health Nursing Academic Society, Journal of Fundamentals of Nursing, Journal of Korean Community Nursing, Journal of Korean Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing Academic Society, and Journal of Korean Pediatric Nursing Academic Society published in the year of 1990-1999. In results, most studies on social support performed in Korea Nursing Society were about a main effect model. There are few studies on moderating or mediating model of social support. Thus, it was difficult to find research findings how, why, under what conditions social support impacted on health outcomes. Most studies on the moderating or mediating effect model of social support used statistical methods for testing main effect model rather than for testing moderating or mediating effect model. That is, there are inconsistency between effect models of social support and its statistical methods in Korean nursing researches. Therefore, it is recommended to perform studies on moderating or mediating effect model and use appropriate statistical methods.

Social media is a window for everyone, individuals, communities, and companies to spread ideas and promote trends and products. With these opportunities, challenges and problems related to security, privacy and rights arose. Also, the data accumulated from social media has become a fertile source for many analytics, inference, and experimentation with new technologies in the field of data science. In this chapter, emphasis will be given to methods of trend analysis, especially ensemble learning methods. Ensemble learning methods embrace the concept of cooperation between different learning methods rather than competition between them. Therefore, in this chapter, we will discuss the most important trends in ensemble learning and their applications in analysing social media data and anticipating the most important future trends.

The purpose of this study was to introduce major contents and examine the feminist social work practice. Feminist social work practice has never been introduced and applied to social work fields in Korea. By contrast, it has been developed and expanded in advanced Western countries. Feminist social work was emerged under the influence of worldwide Women's Movement on the end of 1960's. After the time, there were critics of existing social work practice by feminist, increase in interest of women's issues, development of principles and methods in feminist social work practice. Feminist social work practice brought, transformative change, application of gender perspectives to social work practice. Also, it offered the visions for 'integrative practice', accepted the alternative principles and methods, and enriched 'theory-practice'. As the result, feminist social work practice contributed to solving or alleviating the problems of many clients, especially women clients. These evidences suggest that feminist social work practice has the possibility of holding an position as a new alternative social work practice.

최근 공공기관에서 국민과 소통하는 방법의 하나로 소셜미디어를 활발하게 활용함에 따라 기록관리 영역에서도 이를 수집하고 보존하기 위한 다양한 방안들이 논의되고 있다. 미국에서는 정부 차원에서 소셜미디어를 수집 보존하고자 하는 움직임이 일고 있고, 영국 국립기록관에서는 이미 공공기관의 트위터와 유튜브를 대상으로 아카이브를 구축하여 이용자에게 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 소셜미디어 아카이빙의 수집 및 보존 측면에서의 사례조사 결과를 토대로 소셜미디어의 유형별 특징과 그에 따른 수집 방안과 보존모형을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 제안방안의 실효성을 검증하기 위해 경상남도 도청의 소셜미디어를 대상으로 시범 적용하였다. 본 연구는 실제 수집한 결과를 통해 수집 및 보존방안을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있으며, 차후 소셜미디어 아카이빙을 위한 모델 수립에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

This study examined the virtual methods of service delivery being deployed by librarians in private universities in Nigeria. The objective of the study was to analyse the virtual methods of service delivery among librarians and determine the predominant method used among the librarians. Survey research design was adopted for the study. Total enumeration technique was adopted for the study. A population of 181 librarians from 45 private universities in Southern Nigeria were involved. Data were gathered, analysed and presented using frequency counts, percentages, mean and standard deviation. The study found that librarians used different virtual methods of service delivery. Library website 157 (90%) and e-mail 132 (76.3%) were the prominent electronic media used by librarians while Facebook 59 (34%) and Whatsapp 57 (32.9%) were the predominant social media platforms applied for service delivery by librarians. Electronic media were more used for latest publications arrival, as well as library education and document delivery services while social media were more used for reference services and selective dissemination of information. In conclusion, virtual methods of service delivery were deployed by librarians in private universities for service delivery. In comparing the virtual methods, librarians used more of electronic media than social media to deliver services to their users. Therefore, electronic media were predominantly used than social media, many of the virtual methods were found to be underutilised while recommendations were proffered.

This study aims at introducing 'ethnography' which is one of the most representative qualitative research methods into Library and Information Science research in Korea.. Ethnography, derived from anthropology, helps researchers to understand the whole and deep aspect of the research object. That is because the researcher puts himself into the life-world of the research object and observes it for a long time. Ethnography can be used as an alternative method to quantitative research methods. Until now, Library and Information Science research in Korea has used quantitative research methods in almost every case. From the 1980s so-called 'scientific methods' using hypotheses testing, have provided the major premise for research methodology in Library and Information Science of Korea. And the researchers have seen their research object(Korean Libraries) not in the native perspective but largely in the western(especially American) perspective. There is a need in Korea for more culturally relative research. So the desirability of introducing ethnography and other qualitative research methods into Library and Information Science research in Korea can be summarized as follows : I. Ethnography and other qualitative methods are needed for the researchers to overcome the limitation of quantitative methods which have formed the main methodological paradigm in Library and Information Science research in Korea. While those quantitative scientific methods can be a n.0, pplied to the social sciences, they are not adequate for the social sciences. It is because the research objects of the social sciences are human and social phenomena. II. It is needed that Library and Information Science research in Korea pay more attention to the speciality of Korean libraries. To do researches based on the viewpoint of cultural-relativism, researchers should consider the cultural context of Korean libraries. During the past years researchers in other social science fields in Korea, especially sociology and pedagogy, have gradually a n.0, pplied the methods of ethnography to their fields. These social scientists have attempted to escape from ethnocentrism, a problem which has greatly influenced past and present research methods. To get a holistic and in-depth understanding of Korean libraries on the present stage, and to solve their problems radically, it seems imperative that Library and Information Science research in Korea pay more attention to qualitative research methods such as ethnography.

사회보장법에 나타나는 위임의 정도는 의회의원후보공천방식과 의회상임위원회제도의 운영방식과 관련이 있다. 위임이 적은 사회보장법 구조는 상향식 공천방식과 지속적으로 임기를 보장하는 상임위원회제도와 친화적이다. 독일과 같이 당원이 연방의원후보를 결정하는 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하는 상향식 공천방식과 지속적인 임기를 보장하는 상임위원회제도는 위임이 적은 독일의 사회법과 친화성을 갖는다. 반면에 위임이 많은 사회보장법 구조는 하향식 공천방식과 지속적인 임기를 보장하지 않는 상임위원회제도와 친화적이다. 우리나라와 같이 국회의원후보자를 중앙당에서 주도적으로 결정하는 하향식 공천방식과 지속적인 임기를 보장하지 않는 상임위원회제도는 위임이 많은 우리나라의 사회보장법과 친화성을 갖는다.

Purpose: The study was undertaken from June 1 to July 15, 2008 to assess the effect of social support on self-esteem and life satisfaction in elderly volunteers. Methods: Social support, self-esteem, and life satisfaction were determined using previously established and accepted methods. Data analyses included frequency, ANOVA, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple regression. Results: Subjects' social support, self-esteem, and life satisfaction were closely related. The relationships of social support/self-esteem, social support/life satisfaction, and self-esteem/life satisfaction were significant. Social support accounted for 15% of self-esteem and 12% of life satisfaction. Conclusions: Social support is a very important factor influencing self-esteem and life satisfaction of the elderly. Social support, which sustains the mental health of the elderly, represents one of the best strategic nursing interventions.
