Background: Depression is a comorbid disabling problem and potentially affects patient likelihood of survival. The aims of this study were to recognize the characteristics of depression and investigate associated predictor factors in patients with oral cancers. Methods: A cross-sectional and correlational design was used to collect data for this study conducted in northern Taiwan. A set of questionnaires was used to measure depression, symptom distress, performance status, social support, and demographic and disease-related information. Logistic regression was conducted to determine important factors predicting depression. Results: A total of 132 oral cancer patients participated in this study. Of these, 18.2% were identified as depression cases. The patient average performance status score was 90 or higher. Patients reported mild-to-moderate levels of symptom distress. The majority of social support was from families. Religious belief, alcohol use, symptom distress, and social support from family were found to be important factors predicting depression. Patients with religious belief with alcohol use reported greater symptom distress, and those with lower levels of social support from families were significantly more likely to develop depression. Conclusions: Clinicians should assess patient emotional status and manage symptoms in a timely manner to enhance coping abilities. Supportive care provides assurance during the acute survivor phase.

Increasing productivity of knowledge workers is a significant issue in the 21st century referred as knowledge-based society. The core key word is behavior of knowledge transfer among members of an organization. The objective of this study is to investigate a model based on Triandis theory and Social Capital theory. This explored the antecedent factors of knowledge Transfer in ITO(Information Technology Outsourcing) Organization. Data were derived from 42 respondents working IT Cooperation in Seoul, Korea. In this paper, we introduce the research model for the knowledge transfer. In order to validate the proposed research model, social network analysis tool, UCINET, a structural equation modeling tool, SmartPLS, was utilized. The empirical result showed that, all antecedent factors (intention of knowledge sharing, anticipated reciprocal relationships, subjective norm, closeness network centrality) of knowledge transfer behavior were significant. In conclusion, findings and implications were discussed and limitations of the study and future research directions were suggested.

However, the factors related to time use in social gathering activities are the engaging role types of youth as well as the socializing opportunity. Compared to the other role types of the youth, the youth who are preparing for a job and is not engaged in employment, education, and training(NEET) spend more time in media leisure, travel and cultural activities, sports and reports activities, however spend less time in social gathering compared to students. This study suggested a theoretical research system on the effects of corporate social responsibility in the foodservice industry upon perceived service quality. Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 509 customers and the data were analysed by frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The primary results are as follows - Three corporate social responsibility (CSR) factors were obtained - economic responsibility, legal.ethical responsibility and philanthropic responsibility. In addition, five factors were obtained from the factor analysis of perceived service quality - tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. Correlation analysis showed a significant correlation between the CSR factors and the customers' perceived service quality factors. Multiple regression analysis, to verify the hypothesis, showed that CSR in the foodservice industry had a significant influence upon customers' perceived service quality; therefore, the research hypothesis was adopted. CSR, which had an effect on tangibility out of the minutely-perceived service quality factors, was indicated in the order of economic responsibility, legal ethical responsibility and philanthropic responsibility. Responsiveness, reliability, and assurance were influenced by legal ethical responsibility, economic responsibility and philanthropic responsibility, respectively, in order. Also, empathy was surveyed to be influenced by legal ethical responsibility, philanthropic responsibility and economic responsibility in order. Consequently, customers' evaluations of perceived service quality may be inferred to have positive effects when the customer recognizes whether the foodservice company performs social responsibility.
Background: Many studies have reported negative psychological or physical effects of emotional labor. Relationship between work-related musculoskeletal disorder and psychosocial factors has been reported. To manage organizational and psychosocial factors of musculoskeletal disorder with work place intervention among emotional laborers, the factors contributing to musculoskeletal pain must be identified and clarified. Methods: Data from the fourth Korean Working Conditions Survey was analyzed. Based on the questionnaire, we selected emotional laborers and included 3,979 participants, excluding participants whose variables were of interest to the researcher. Weight variable was applied. The association with musculoskeletal pain and psychosocial factors, such as workload, monotonous work, job control, social support, and job satisfaction, was investigated. Results: Univariate analysis demonstrated that there was a statistically significant relationship between social support, job satisfaction, and musculoskeletal pain. In multivariate analysis, job satisfaction showed a strong correlation with musculoskeletal pain at all sites. Social support was significantly associated with backache. Monotonous work seemed to reduce the pain in the neck and/or upper limbs. Job control and work intensity were not significantly associated with musculoskeletal pain. Conclusion: In this study, job satisfaction was significantly associated with musculoskeletal pain, and social support among the social psychological stressors could reduce musculoskeletal pain. However, unlike previously known, the presence of monotonous work resulted in reduced musculoskeletal pain. The results of this study will help to establish the direction of improvement of atmosphere in the workplace to prevent the musculoskeletal pain of emotional laborers.
