This study focused on individual differences in social support among older adults. The purposes of this study were to investigate sex and age group differences in social support and to examine the effects of intergenerational social support on life satisfaction among the rural elderly. Data were from 545 elderly over 60 years of age living separately from adult children in the rural area. With regard to sex differences in support exchanges, no significant differences were found in support-giving and support-receiving. Men reported giving more financial support to children than women, while women reported receiving more financial support from children than men. With regard to age group differences in support exchanges, there was less support-giving in older age group. Older parents in their 60s reported giving more financial, instrumental, and emotional support and receiving less financial support than the group of age 70+ Regression analyses showed that life satisfaction of both men and women was affected by support size and the frequency of contact with children. Giving financial and instrumental support was significantly associated with life satisfaction of men, but giving and receiving each type of social support had no effects on life satisfaction of women. Life satisfaction of parents in their 60s was found to be positively associated with support size, giving financial support and receiving emotional support, and negatively associated with giving instrumental support. In the group of age 70+, the frequency of contact with adult children and giving financial support had positive influences on life satisfaction.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze how social supports, such as family, teachers, and friends, affect the school adjustment of children who were abused by their parents, and suggest the interventional solutions in order to improve the social support system and school adjustment. 692 children, aged 4 to 6 in primary schools in Busan, were chosen for the survey and all of them are currently under children's service. Among the respondents, 485 children (70.1%) have experienced abuse, and neglect was the most frequent abuse experienced among them. Neglected children were influenced by teachers, families and friends' support in terms of social support for school adjustments. However, the emotionally abused children were influenced by families, teachers and friends in terms of social support for school adjustments. In addition, children who experienced physical abuse have been influenced by families and teachers'support. Support from friends has no meaning for them. As a result, this paper suggests that an effective interventional solution will be necessary for the school adjustment of abused children. The effective interventional solutions are firstly that neglected children require a high level of attention from their teachers and teachers should encourage parents with parental education and counseling to be helpful for their children. Secondly, emotionally abused children require strong family support through parents'education for child development and caring support programs. Finally, physically abused children need caring programs which develop supportive relationship skills both with parents and teachers for their adjustment in school.
This study attempts to shed additional light on the national diffusion process and interaction of welfare services for children and mothers. The central hypothesis examined is the following : In general, the implant of social welfare system is first considered on the characteristics of their own socio-economics , and diffusion prodess of welfare services tends to occur faster in countries with open sicieties than in countries where entry barriers are high and society ranking rigid. The scope of the study is limited in several ways. Attention is concentrated on the agency of woman in the belief that an in-depth case study of one field can yield more insight than a less detailed investigation embracing a number of social welfare systems. The angency of woman is selected for several reasons. a) It is important the agency of woman alone produce more effective than services affecting both the child welfare and women's libertion bradually. Moreover, these services will form the heart of mother's welfare. b) The services of women's agency is gradually wide spread, since a role of government is still negligible before a full realization of economic income. c) The services of women agency is a prime example of a social welfare. d) statistical data and other information are more readily available. One of major findings of our study is the existence of the barriers inhibiting child welfare form " motherhood cult". Despite all the distinct advantages for mother and child , social attitudes appear to be some resistant on child welfare system among men and women even the agenices of women. What is surprised is the extent of the awareness that strategies of women's agency to liberate woman and to increate activities of women involve the strategies to liberate child. The conviction that solving application problems for child welfare in line with the activities of agency by women offer greater freedom and more advantage to mother are not apparent on the data collected from 18 of multi-functional agencies in our country. there are little sign that such agencies cooperate toward attainment of common goals. The intensive early focus of the movement on consciousness raising is a necessary beginning and such efforts by women's organizations would help both in the continuous evolution of women and child. Some of the agencies offer a variety of services to women and children, others are specialized in that they offer fewer services or even only one. Social welfare agenices giving service to children and their families are identified by various names usually women service and child welfare from govern , mental agency and voluntary public agency to foreign aided. What is totally missing , however, is an integrated synthesis of child welfare program Through women's agency. Social changes to occur, but delineation of appropriate and comprehensive social policy is also necessary at this point at this point since efforts, social changes and polices must be well coordianted and focused, as well as mutually supprotive and reinforcing.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of college students' fashion competence on social anxiety, focusing on the mediating effects of interpersonal skills and appearance anxiety. To this end, a survey was conducted among 235 college students via online communities, and the data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The factor analysis revealed sub-factors of fashion competence, including fashion involvement, fashion innovativeness, and confidence in fashion coordination. The regression analysis of the mediation model showed that while fashion involvement indirectly reduces social anxiety through interpersonal skills, there was no mediating effect of appearance anxiety. Fashion innovativeness had an indirect impact on social anxiety through appearance anxiety, but there was no mediating effect through interpersonal skills. Confidence in fashion coordination influenced social anxiety indirectly through both interpersonal skills and appearance anxiety, and it also had a significant direct effect. This research confirmed that fashion competence can have a dual impact on social anxiety, and suggested that enhancing confidence in fashion coordination through fashion therapy programs might be beneficial for resolving college students' social anxiety. However, such programs should avoid excessively pursuing fashion innovativeness, as it can increase appearance anxiety, and should focus on enhancing confidence in one's appearance.

Subsidies are an instrumental policy making tool for many governments, but their importance depends on the market situation of the national economy. Efficient subsidy implementation would allow the government to correct market failure thereby aligning social and private costs and benefit. The general objective of this study is to justify the need to rationalise subsidies for food items such as flour. This study assessed the structure and conducts of the general purpose flour market in Malaysia; and analysed the impact of subsidies on market performance to recommend policies to increase market efficiency under the subsidy rationalisation program. To accomplish these objectives, the study adopted a microeconomics market analysis as well as the standard structure and performance analysis method. These two approaches showed the characteristics of an industry's consumer behaviour, competition, as well as the efficiency associated with government regulatory policies on the flour industry. One of the biggest influences on the domestic market is related to the food consumption behaviour of the general population. Food consumption behaviour reflects global trends. As income rises, food trends tend to be consumed in processed form or in such a way that adds value in another manner such as the preparation of food products.

The study aims to analyze the adaptation strategies and resilience of tobacco farmers to face unfavorable trading system. The research method refers to a qualitative approach with phenomenological models and case studies. The findings revealed tobacco farmers in Jember developed various adaptation strategies and resilience through farmer group organizations, partnerships, self-capacity building and access to financial institutions based on economic, social, cultural, and experience values from various sources and interactions among fellow tobacco farmers. The tobacco trading system, which is left to the market mechanism, results in low bargaining power of farmers, this encourages tobacco farmers to develop various adaptation and survival strategies, namely through collective activities of farmer groups, partnerships and self-development and access to financial institutions. Dealing with the unfavorable tobacco trading system, tobacco farmers do not switch to other commodity farming but adapt and make Jember a center for tobacco production in East Java and Indonesia. From this findings, it suggests to the government as the regulator does not only provide subsidies for tobacco farmers, but also must provide various technical assistance to increase the ability of tobacco farmers. More importantly, regulations must be made benefit tobacco farmers other than corporations so that equality can be enjoyed by tobacco economy players.

This study intended to examine the relationship between inflation and unemployment rate in Indonesia during 1987 to 2018 period. The study applied a quantitative method using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) in order to comprehensively understand the causality between inflation and unemployment rates. The data were collected from various main sources including the World Bank, Central Bank of Indonesia, and Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The findings showed that inflation has a one-way relationship toward unemployment in Indonesia and it occurs at the third lag. Impulse Response Function (IRF), shows that the inflation rate are fluctuating in response to the shock of unemployment. The unemployment rate responses to shocks from inflation initially increased until it is eventually diminished. It shows that the shocks caused by the impact of inflation were only in the short term. Further, inflation in the three previous lags will have consequences for the unemployment rate in the year. Lastly, both in the long run and short run, unemployment did not affect inflation rates. These findings suggest that high inflation in Indonesia is determined the rising price of basic commodities and fuel. In addition, most companies in Indonesia applying capital intensive so that employment growth in Indonesia is small.

The research aims to evaluate college students' financial behavior and provide empirical insight into factors that may influence their financial behavior by investigating whether financial socialization, financial experience, and financial literacy are meaningful for students' financial behavior. The surveys data was conducted with 595 college students from all over Indonesia then analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results demonstrate that financial socialization positively influences financial literacy and financial behavior. On the other hand, financial experience has a negative influence on financial literacy, yet a positive one on financial behavior. Furthermore, the result also shows financial socialization are the key determinant of financial literacy and financial literacy is vital and plays an essential role for financial behavior and it may derive from financial socialization and financial literacy. It indicates that the influence of social agents can benefit students in improving their financial literacy and behavior. However, experience also can influence their financial behaviors. The lack of experience of college students leads to inadequate financial knowledge and raises their risk of financial decisions. Students with sufficient financial knowledge and exhibiting good financial behavior can make wise decisions in financial planning and management, thus may prevent financial issues in the future.
