  • This study is focused on the factors that reduce the high turnover rate of early childhood teachers against the backdrop of their poor work environment including long hours, work overload and low wage by identifying the effects of three sub-factors of justice on the collectivistic tendency and those of the job burnout on their turnover intention. To conduct this study, a survey was carried out childcare teachers of the Seoul and Metropolitan Area. Total of 283 valid female questionnaires were collected and utilized for analysis. According to the analysis, both procedural justice and interpersonal justice have positive effects on the collectivistic tendency and decrease the turnover intention. The interpersonal justice decreases the job burnout, whereas the distributive justice statistically significantly increases the job burnout. Also, the collectivistic tendency reduces the turnover intention. The job burnout increases the turnover intention, which is consistent with previous studies. Hence, increasing the interpersonal justice and the collectivistic tendency could be an option for dealing with the issue.

  • Bennis and El Hajoui have defined a (commutative unital) ring R to be S-coherent if each finitely generated ideal of R is a S-finitely presented R-module. Any coherent ring is an S-coherent ring. Several examples of S-coherent rings that are not coherent rings are obtained as byproducts of our study of the transfer of the S-coherent property to trivial ring extensions and amalgamated duplications.

  • This study aims to investigate the factors influencing preventive behavior among foreigners residing in Korea. Drawing upon the Health Belief Model (HBM), this study seeks to gain insights into the decisionmaking processes underlying preventive behavior within this specific population. A comprehensive online survey was conducted among 364 foreigners. An analysis revealed that perceived barriers and perceived benefits played crucial roles as mediators, mediating the relationship between the examined factors and preventive behavior. The insights gained from this study have implications for public health interventions and self-preventive product businesses aiming to promote and sustain self-preventive behavior practices among foreigners residing in Korea, even after all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

  • Conventional mining enterprises, particularly coal-related ones, exhibit substantial environmental pollution and high energy consumption, while those involved in new energy resources, such as lithium and cobalt, face severe resource shortages. Consequently, the economic efficiency of China's mining enterprises is significantly constrained. This study examines data from nine representative listed enterprises in China spanning 2016 to 2021. Employing the DEA model-i.e., BCC (VRS) model, we analyze the economic efficiency of mining enterprises with a focus on stakeholders. The paper provides static and dynamic analyses, offering insights and recommendations for enhancing technology, reducing costs, and fortifying social relationships.

  • In this paper, we introduce a weak version of coherent that we call regular coherent property. A ring is called regular coherent, if every finitely generated regular ideal is finitely presented. We investigate the stability of this property under localization and homomorphic image, and its transfer to various contexts of constructions such as trivial ring extensions, pullbacks and amalgamated. Our results generate examples which enrich the current literature with new and original families of rings that satisfy this property.

  • Despite its remarkable socioeconomic development, South Korea underperforms in terms of female labor force participation and women in leadership positions. As women appear to avoid nuclear engineering, we aim to evaluate its relative performance in attracting women to its labor force compared to other college majors. Using college-major level information from 2000, we test whether the female faculty share in nuclear engineering is lower than its counterparts. Although nuclear engineering has one of the lowest female faculty shares, its share exceeds that of agricultural science, business and economics, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, and industrial engineering once we properly control for gender composition among students and other compounding factors. In other words, once female students major in nuclear engineering, they are less likely to leave their fields compared to their counterparts in other disciplines. This result implies that if the nuclear engineering field aims to attract more women to its workforce, it is important to target them from the early stage of their careers.

  • Purpose: This study explores the distinctive characteristics of virtual influencers compared to human influencers and examines how parasocial relationships with human consumers affect brand attitude. The hypothesis suggests that virtual influencers can overcome social distance barriers, emphasizing their role in fostering engagement. Research design, data and methodology: A structural model based on the source credibility model and unique traits of virtual influencers analyzes these dynamics. An online survey conducted in April 2024 garnered responses from 286 participants. Results: Findings reveal that virtual influencers positively impact parasocial interactions, which in turn enhance parasocial relationships and brand attitudes. However, the proposed effect of novelty on brand attitude through parasocial interaction was not statistically supported. Conclusions: This study highlights the unique attributes of virtual influencers, such as anthropomorphism, empathy, and novelty, which enhance consumer engagement through parasocial interactions and influence brand attitude. It provides a comprehensive framework for leveraging virtual influencers in marketing, offering significant advantages in maintaining consistent brand messaging and reducing risks associated with human influencers.

  • Purpose: This research is motivated by the rise of live-streaming commerce in service industries, aiming to explore factors affecting service product purchases in live-streaming commerce. Extracted independent factors include information provision, vicarious experience, social interaction, visibility, and emotional transmission. Additionally, this study aims to discern the moderating effect of brand reputation in the relationships between independent factors and customer intention to purchase service products in live-streaming commerce. Research design, data and methodology: This study employed a questionnaire survey to collect data and analyzed collected data with statistical analysis methods, including exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results: The analysis results say three factors significantly influenced purchase intentions in live-streaming commerce: information provision, emotional transmission, and price discount. Brand reputation also significantly affects customers' intention to buy service products in live-stream commerce.
