This research examined children's perception of parental authority within three different types of rules : moral, social-conventional, and personal issue. Specifically, two major aspects of parental authority-legitimacy and obedience-were explored. The subjects of this study were 120 children from an elementary school in Kwangju. There were 40 subjects (20 males and 20 females) in each of three age groups: 7-, 9-, and 11- year-olds. The subjects were administered an interview individually. Based on Tisak (1986) open-ended questions concerning three family rules (moral rule, social-conventional rule, personal issue) were administered. Responses to the assessment questions were coded as positive or negative. Responses to the judgment conception questions were coded into 7 categories : Other's Walfare, Social Coordination, Personal choice, Deservedness of Punishment for Wrongdoing, Existence of Authority, Conflicting Personal Interest and Authority, and Personal Development. Statistical analysis of obtained data was by percentage and ${\chi}_2$ test using log linear procedure. The results were as follows : (1) There was a significant main effect of type of rule on the children's assessment regarding legitimacy and obedience of parental authority. The children (average 96%) stated that it was all right for parents to make rules prohiliting an act when it pertained to moral and social conventions. However, the majority of the children (average 40%) stated that it was not right for parents to regulate personal issues. (2) There was a significant interaction effect between type of rule and age. (3) There was a significant main effect of rules on the children's judgment conception of parental authority. (4) There was a significant interaction effect between rules and ages on children's judgment conception of parental authority.
We are able to analyze a social or a natural phenomenon by using the conception. if we understand a concept of an object. However it is not easy to understand a concept of an object. The process of comprehending the concept is a long rigorous mental journey. Hence, understanding concepts has been emphasized in studies in education. Previous studies demonstrate that conception has a dual nature, which has both an operational and a structural nature. We are able to acknowledge that structural conception develops from an operating conception. Nevertheless, discovering a dual nature of conception and knowing whether students acquired the dual nature, especially the structural nature are difficult to achieve. In this research, I examine the operational and the structural nature of a center of mass conception and analyze whether students acquire structural nature of the center of mass conception, and find implications which we would do to build the structural conception on a concept.
This study started with concerns for corporate philanthropy that is emerging as an alternative for resource development of social work field in Korea. However, corporate philanthropy is not operating as an accomplished conception yet, but as a type of the practical discourse. Therefore corporate philanthropy is interpreted a multiplicity of meanings is used ambiguously in social work practice field. This is because theoretical reviews on the conceptual thinking of corporate philanthropy are scant and is in need of empirical inquires into conceptual perception of social workers who uses this concept as a stakeholder to corporate philanthropy. After analyzing the data using Q methodology, the result shows that social workers' major perception patterns on corporate philanthropy perspective consists of three patterns; Win-Win Partnership, Social-obligation, Strategic Materialism. These patterns are classified by the dimension of 'classical view', 'socio-economic view', 'modern view' and 'philanthrophic view'. This result will attribute to develop theories, social work practice program and social worker' training program related corporate philanthropy. And to give facilities for lucid communication among practice and theory in social work field as it materializes the explicit conception of corporate philanthropy that is understood ambiguously in Korea.
This study examines the conception of the self using indigenous, cultural and psychological analysis. The self is viewed from four aspects: (1) conception of the self as an entity (the self in general, the self as an unique entity and the self when alone), (2) conception of self in the context of family (the self when with mother, father, children and spouse), (3) the self with the context of close and working relationships (the self when with friends, teachers, work superior and work subordinate), and (4) the self in context of the larger society (the self when with strangers and foreigners). A total of 1,465 respondents (623 elementary, middle, high and university students and their parents = 842) completed an open-ended questionnaire developed by the present authors. The results reveal two patterns of results. First, the conception of self in Korea is influence by one's role. Second, the conception of self in influenced by relationship and context and there is an emphasis on the flexibility and adjustment of the self to relationship and context. Implications of the conception of the self in context of relationships, roles, and contexts are discussed, along with the importance of indigenous, cultural and psychological analysis.
In the light of globalisation and the international division of labour, the article will stress the importance of a new conception of quality management, focusing more on the social and environmental aspects of quality in global supply chains with a particular emphasis on suppliers' perspectives. This paper aims to present a prospective trend to establish a proper CALS conception and an efficient CALS environment in Korea.. It is crucial at this point for Korea to develop a comprehensive CALS conception which considers our present economic and social situation, national security, and our national emotion. Korean CALS has been developed and led mainly by the government and private industry. It is now necessary to improve CALS conception in Korea by making CALS standard more interchangeable among international as well as domestic business fields through EDI and the automation of the industries along with the government. In this regard, this paper proposes three potential methods to accomplish this goal and discuss each of them in detail. First, we suggest to establish a proper CALS introduction policy on the government level. We propose an introduction policy with three phases such as introduction, spreading and target which will cover through the year 1996 to 2007. Second. we suggest to establish a proper CALS standardization policy by improving the acquisition of digital data and process, and modernizing infrastructure. Third, we suggest that the government should amend and enforce the necessary laws and acts for more efficient CALS implementation in Korea. Government should arrange for these acts to be applied not optionally but obligatorily to Korean enterprises so that they survive the harsh and competitive world market in the upcoming 21th century.
Taking a broad view on the study, it enables one to understand all over the subject or discover some problem. On this thesis, by taking a broad view, the advertising was considered as a television media contents. And attempted to establish the identity of the audience's conception about the social or cultural influencing power of an advertising. Among the television media contents, the drama and cinema was compared with the advertising because of their influencing power in each personal, and tried to clarify diversely the influencing power of advertising. The influencing power survey for the advertising, cinema, drama was practiced by checking his or her conception about below three television media contents - advertising, cenema, drama. And the data were statistically conducted. As the result, some significant conception was found. The participants on the survey conceived the advertising as in the concept of 'Accomplishment', 'Variable', 'Progressive'. This results are considered as they prefered to be influenced by the advertising rather than the drama or cinema in the conception of 'New', 'Variety', 'Progressiveness'.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction and strategy of education for sex role concepts of children on the basis of factor analysis of the present situation in sex role concepts and their formation. Although some maintain that sex role concept of our society has been changing slowly, the traditional sex role concept still dominates and is potentially immanent. the analysis of present condition of our society indicates that the formal as well as informal education are facing with various crucial problems in providing the direction of behavior demanded for carrying out the role. The close analysis of the three theories, psychoanalytic theory , social learning theory, cognitive development theory, lends a support to the laim of the study that cognitive development theory provide an integrated frame of reference for us to see the sex role education analytically Furthermore, the factors which are found to have influences on the formation of sex role have been analyzed in three areas: Family, School and society. 1)The factors in family such as parental behavior of upbringing and their concepts of sex role have a direct relationship with the nature of sex tole concept of children. Therefore, the first step to make children to habe a new type of sex-role conception appropriate for modern societies is to change that of parental conception and attitudes. 2)the quantitative as well as the qualitative aspects of school education showed no exceptional trend from the dominant conception of the society, although school are expected to lead the society as formal education institution rather than just reflect the society. The educational activities and contents such as the conceived goal of education for eoch sex, textbook constitation, teaching behavior and sex-role concepts of teacher are found to be still dominated by the traditional sex-role assumption. 3) The social factors that have direct relationship with children's sex-role formation are social and cultural, which include social milieu, condition of employment, family structure and mass-media. Since family and school do not educate the young in a social vacuum. their educational function of sex-role formation are doomed to be limited and determined by these social factors. Unfortunately, the analysis of present conditions showed the dominance of traditional types of sex-role concepts in all these social factors. The education of sex-role concept for children should be treated as one of the most crucial value problems related with many other important problems, such as direction and patterns of behaviors of each sex, the degree of self-development and capabilities, and consequently human right, equality, humanization and the quality of happiness. Neverthless, the analysis of researches on sex-role education which have been surveyed in this study lead to a conclusion that concerted effort to change the education, formal as well as informal should be provided in every aspect of social life. If the sex role education of the past has aimed at the "feminization"of girls which indoctrinate girls into a limited and fixed role of house wives, the new education in the future should be directed foward "humanization" of both sexes which opens the diversity of roles for both boys and girl on equal levels and provide future possibilities in accordance to their individual capabilities and interests.

In order to search for the causes of having difficulty with the scientification task of the Korean medicine, the definition and conception of science were reviewed first and then formalization of reasoning scheme and a practical method of scientification were proposed. Science in its definition is meant by foundation of method and system for production of scientific knowledge not by knowledge of science itself. The formation of science is composed of complex processes including not only scientific knowledge but also politicosocial output containing activity of scientist society, spreading of social value and intercommunication. The production of scientific knowledge of Korean medicine is begun from logicality of the differential diagnosis and treatment theory through abductive verification of analogical inference by yinyang and 5 phase theory. For the commensurability between the various heterogenic theories within Korean medicine, the scientific activity of collecting, compiling, analyzing, distributing, and discussing the significant knowledge gained through abductive verification in the experiment and clinical process should be formed broadly. Based on these knowledge database, organization of scientist society with Korean medicine, life science, medical engineering, social expansion and generalization of pattern conception, and then social propagation and contribution for national health should be driven forward.
