Since the cement industry generates more than 60 % of CO2 during the clinker production process, supplementary cementitious materials are used worldwide to reduce CO2 efficiently. Mainly used supplementary cementitious materials such as blast furnace slag and fly ash, which are used in various industries including the cement industry, concrete admixtures, and ground solidification materials. However, since their availability is expected to decrease in the future according to the carbon neutrality strategy of each industry, new supplementary cementitious materials should be used to achieve the cement industry's goal for increasing the additive content of Portland cement. Limestone is a material that already has a large amount in the cement industry and has the advantage of high grinding efficiency, so overseas developed countries established Portland limestone cement standards and succeeded in commercialization. This study was an experimental study conducted to evaluate the possibility of utilizing domestic PLC, the effect of fineness and replacement ratio on the physical properties of cement was investigated, and the environmental impact of cement was evaluated by analyzing CO2 emissions.

Through the development of construction technology, various construction projects such as redevelopment projects, undergrounding of roads, expansion of subways, and metro railways are being carried out. However, this has led to an increase in the number of construction projects in existing urban centers and neighborhoods, resulting in an increase in the number of damages and disputes between neighboring buildings and residents, as well as an increase in safety accidents due to the aging of existing buildings. In this study, digital data was applied to a graphics program to objectify the progress of cracks by comparing the creation of cracks and the increase in length and width through photographic images and presenting the degree of cracks numerically. Through the application of the program, the error caused by the subjective judgment of crack change, which was mentioned as a shortcoming of the existing field survey, was solved. It is expected that the program can be used universally in the building diagnosis process by improving its reliability if supplemented and improved in the process of use. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to apply the extraction algorithm of the digital graphic data program to calculate the length and width of the crack by itself without human intervention in the preprocessing work and to check the overall change of the building.
This is an analytical study to confirm the passive resistance effect before post-tensioning of steel bar anchors. When using a steel bar as a permanent anchor, if displacement occurs within the slope even before the head load is applied, the displacement is suppressed by the passive resistance caused by the interaction between the steel bar, grout, and surrounding soil. Accordingly, the shape of the failure surface and changes in the safety factor were examined using limit equilibrium analysis and finite element analysis targeting sites where steel bar anchors were actually applied. It was found that the safety factor of the slope reinforced with steel bar anchors is 2.02 using finite element analysis, which is about 5.9% smaller than 2.14 using limit equilibrium analysis. Also, the location of the failure surface was found to be deeper compared to the unreinforced slope. Likewise, the factor of safety has a 153% and 163% increase using finite element method and limit equilibrium analysis, respectively. In addition, the maximum displacement occurs in the lower unreinforced section within the slope, and the displacement is found to be reduced by 42 to 83% at the location where the steel bar anchors are installed.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the aspects and characteristics of educational innovation planned and implemented at the university site targeting universities in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and to explore their limitations and tasks. For this purpose, we analyzed the contents of innovation strategy programs among the plans of 17 universities in the national innovation support projects in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam area. First, the university innovation strategy was divided into input, process, infrastructure, and other factors, and among them, the process factor was divided into education, research, and industry-university cooperation to examine the aspects and characteristics of innovation. As a result of the study, the aspects of university innovation at universities in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam were analyzed in the areas of education, research, and industry-academia cooperation. Characteristics of innovation were emphasis on convergence education, competency development, smart system foundation, introduction of innovative teaching and learning techniques, consumer-centeredness, and regional linkage. The limitations and tasks of university innovation revealed through the research are as follows. First, a specialized university innovation business structure should be prepared in consideration of the context of local universities. Second, established strategies with high innovativeness must be implemented and sustained, and consensus among members is required for this. Third, the innovation of universities should not mean the centralization of academics, and the role and efforts of universities as a research institutions should be improved. Fourth, it should not be overlooked that more important than the visible innovation strategy of university innovation is the education innovation that occurs directly to students as a result of the education effect.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) plays a pivotal role in predicting the potential environmental impacts of proposed developments and planning appropriate mitigation measures to minimize effects on species. However, as concerns over biodiversity loss rise, there's ongoing debate about the efficacy of these mitigation plans. In this study, we utilized data from EIAs and post-environmental impact surveys to understand the trends in biodiversity during construction and operation phases. By examining 30 urban development projects, we categorized species richness indices of mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles into pre-construction, during construction, and post-construction operational stages. The biodiversity trends were analyzed based on the rate of change in these indices. The results revealed three distinct biodiversity change patterns: (A) An initial increase in biodiversity indices post-development, followed by a gradual decline over time; (B) a sustained increase in biodiversity as a result of mitigation measures; and (C) a continuous decline in biodiversity post-development. Furthermore, all species exhibited a higher rate of biodiversity decline during the construction phase compared to the operational phase, with mammals showing the most significant rate of change. Notably, the biodiversity change rate during operation was generally lower than during construction. In particular, mammals seemed to be most influenced by mitigation measures, displaying the smallest rate of change. This study provides empirical evidence on the efficacy of mitigation measures and deliberates on ways to enhance their effectiveness in minimizing the adverse impacts of urban development on biodiversity. These findings can serve as foundational data for addressing terrestrial biodiversity reduction.
Facility diagnosis is essential for the smooth operation and life extension of rotating equipment used in industrial sites. Compared to other diagnostic methods, vibration diagnosis can find most of the initial defects, such as unbalance, alignment failure, bearing defects and resonance, compared to other diagnostic methods. Therefore, vibration analysis is the most commonly used facility diagnosis method in industrial sites, and is usefully used as a predictive preservation (PdM) technology to manage the condition of the facility. However, since the vibration diagnosis method is performed based on experience based on the standard, it is carried out by experts. Therefore, it is intended to contribute to the reliability of the facility by establishing a system that anyone can easily judge defects by establishing a vibration diagnosis method performed based on experience as a knowledgeable code system. An algorithm was developed based on the ISO-20816 standard for vibration measurement, and the reliability was verified by comparing the results of vibration measurement at various demonstration sites such as petrochemical plant compressors, hydrogen charging stations, and industrial machinery with the results of analysis using a development system. The developed algorithm can contribute to predictive maintenance (PdM) technology that anyone can diagnose the condition of the rotating machine at industrial sites and identify defects early to replace parts at the exact time of replacement. Furthermore, it is expected that it will contribute to reducing maintenance costs and downtime due to the failure of rotating machines when applied to various industrial sites such as oil refining facilities, transportation, production facilities, and aviation facilities.

However, since collecting and using MAC addresses without individual consent entails many legal problems, it was difficult to actively utilize them. In order to prevent invasion of privacy information due to unintentional exposure of these MAC addresses in recent years, the method of protecting privacy information by exposing a randomly generated virtual MAC address rather than the MAC address of the actual device is applied to all mobile devices. is becoming By exposing a randomly generated virtual MAC address on a device, it becomes impossible to identify and track an individual using the MAC address. However, the fact that various facts can be estimated through MAC Address collection is still valid. By expanding the application of Random MAC Address, the possibility of invasion of privacy information has been completely removed from the MAC address that has been raised in the past, so that it can be used more actively than in the past. In this paper, we propose a method for automatically collecting and analyzing statistical information of hospital visitors using MAC addresses. The collection of hospital visitors using MAC Address is a low cost and relatively accurate method, and the analysis of hospital visitors through steady collection can provide very objective and scientific evidence for hospital operation.

Building an accurate 3-D spatial road network model has become an active area of research now-a-days that profess to be a new paradigm in developing Smart roads and intelligent transportation system (ITS) which will help the public and private road impresario for better road mobility and eco-routing so that better road traffic, less carbon emission and road safety may be ensured. Dealing with such a large scale 3-D road network data poses challenges in getting accurate elevation information of a road network to better estimate the CO2 emission and accurate routing for the vehicles in Internet of Vehicle (IoV) scenario. Clustering and regression techniques are found suitable in discovering the missing elevation information in 3-D spatial road network dataset for some points in the road network which is envisaged of helping the public a better eco-routing experience. Further, recently Explainable Artificial Intelligence (xAI) draws attention of the researchers to better interprete, transparent and comprehensible, thus enabling to design efficient choice based models choices depending upon users requirements. The 3-D road network dataset, comprising of spatial attributes (longitude, latitude, altitude) of North Jutland, Denmark, collected from publicly available UCI repositories is preprocessed through feature engineering and scaling to ensure optimal accuracy for clustering and regression tasks. K-Means clustering and regression using Support Vector Machine (SVM) with radial basis function (RBF) kernel are employed for 3-D road network analysis. Silhouette scores and number of clusters are chosen for measuring cluster quality whereas error metric such as MAE ( Mean Absolute Error) and RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) are considered for evaluating the regression method. To have better interpretability of the Clustering and regression models, SHAP (Shapley Additive Explanations), a powerful xAI technique is employed in this research. From extensive experiments , it is observed that SHAP analysis validated the importance of latitude and altitude in predicting longitude, particularly in the four-cluster setup, providing critical insights into model behavior and feature contributions SHAP analysis validated the importance of latitude and altitude in predicting longitude, particularly in the four-cluster setup, providing critical insights into model behavior and feature contributions with an accuracy of 97.22% and strong performance metrics across all classes having MAE of 0.0346, and MSE of 0.0018. On the other hand, the ten-cluster setup, while faster in SHAP analysis, presented challenges in interpretability due to increased clustering complexity. Hence, K-Means clustering with K=4 and SVM hybrid models demonstrated superior performance and interpretability, highlighting the importance of careful cluster selection to balance model complexity and predictive accuracy.
Development of radish collectors may enhance radish production and promote upland crop mechanization in the Republic of Korea. Theoretical analysis of power is crucial to ensure the optimum design of agricultural machinery. The aim of the present study is to analyze theoretically the power requirement of a tractor-mounted radish collector under development and to propose design guidelines. The important components of the radish collector were belt-type conveyors, three hydraulic motors, and a direct current (DC) winch motor to operate the total radish collecting process. Theoretical equations were used to calculate the hydraulic motor's power, winch motor power, and draft power at loaded and unloaded conditions. A variety of tractors (44 - 74 kW) and different soil characteristics (hard, firm, tilted, and sandy) were considered to investigate the appropriate drawbar power. Variations of the power requirement of the tractor-mounted radish collector were observed due to modifications of the design parameters. The required hydraulic power of the stem cutting conveyor, stem cutting blade, and transfer conveyor of the radish collector were 0.23 and 0.24, 0.18 and 0.19, and 0.19 and 0.22 kW under unloaded and loaded conditions, respectively. The maximum draft power was calculated as 0.89, 1.07, 1.25, and 1.61 kW at a 30° tilted angle for hard, firm, tilted, and sandy soil, respectively. The calculation showed 2.07 kW DC power was required for unfolding or folding the stem-cutting conveyor. A maximum power of 4.78 kW was prescribed for conducting the whole process of the tractor-mounted radish collector. The analysis of power introduced in this study will be helpful to select the appropriate design parameters for the successful development of a tractor-mounted radish collector.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the global airport industry is actively introducing 4th Industrial Revolution technology-based systems for quarantine and passenger safety, and test bed construction and prior verification using airport infrastructure and resources are actively being conducted. Analysis of recent cases shows that despite the changing travel patterns of airport users and the diversification of airport service demands, most testbeds construction studies are still focused on suppliers, and task prioritization is also determined by decision makers. There is a tendency to rely on subjective judgment. In order to find practical ways to become a first mover that leads innovation in the aviation industry, this study selected tasks and derived priorities to build testbeds from a service perspective that reflects various customer service needs and changes. Research results using the AHP analysis method resulted in priorities in the order of access transportation and parking services (29.2%), security screening services (23.4%), and departure services (21.8%), and these analysis results were tested in the airport industry. It shows that innovation in testbeds construction is an important factor. In particular, the establishment of smart parking and UAM transportation testbeds not only helps strengthen airports as centers of technological innovation, but also promotes cooperation with companies, research institutes, and governments, and provides an environment for testing and developing new technologies and services. It can be a foundation for what can be done. The results and implications produced through this study can serve as useful guidelines for domestic and foreign airport practitioners to build testbeds and establish strategies.
