The small/medium sized firms have big part and affect a national economy in the world. They underestimated in market until now make big change by standing out in international market. The Korean small/medium sized firms also get out of a domestic market stagnated and try to make inroads into international market. Especially, the Korean small/medium sized construction firms have very huge potentiality in international market globalized rapidly. But, the role of these firms actually have been insignificant in international market until now. This paper tried to present the alternatives to revitalize the overseas expansion of the Korean small/medium sized construction firms which have the potentiality. It analyzed the international contract trend of advanced construction firms to classify each group by using ENR data from 1996 to 2005, and presented the new standard of the Korean small/medium sized construction firms according to international contract portion, data, and legal bases. Finally, it used the expert interview method to refer to the revitalization of making inroads into international market.

International construction market has been open to other countries, and it derives the development of our overseas construction industry quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Until now, the major companies have an absolute majority in the overseas construction market, and the small and medium enterprises have had difficulty to get a leadership in the international construction market because of the lack of the technical expertise and the capital strength. Especially in the Middle East Asia, our construction companies has touched off a boom, so our market share also has grown, which derived from the up toward ratchet oil prices and a worldwide boom in real estate development. The small and medium enterprise minority have recognition that the overseas construction market is the major company's native territory. But Data from the existing researches and many statistics indicate the most companies tend to underestimate the capacity and international competitiveness of the small and medium enterprises. As a matter of fact, hundreds of small and medium enterprise cut a conspicuous figure in overseas market. Consequently, it is indispensable to overcome the international financial crisis by revitalizing our overseas construction industry which obtains excellent results in international market. this study suggested the ways to expand overseas bonding capacity of Korean financial institution. This study proposed the Korean government to allow Construction Guarantee (former Korea Construction Financial Cooperative) to deal with foreign exchange so that Construction Guarantee will underwrite the overseas construction bond.

Mainly in construction liens to four contractors do not receive your order is caused by construction. This construction does not receive construction compunction to protect the contractor, I guess. On the other hand, the medium and small construction companies and contractors that could threaten the order four can be a problem. In this study, small construction companies to the lien of the lien claim on the issue of case studies have looked for the study. Small construction companies, in your case through the litigation between the lien of the lien litigation perspective, the cause of four orders after the analysis step by step construction was listed in chronological order. Identifying problem was the result of a lien. This study to previous studies regarding the lien on the issue through case studies of one kind of lien was derived for the problem. A follow-up studies and more case studies and interviews are considered necessary in the study.

Product liability(PL) is the producer's compensation to customers for damage incurred by product defects. This paper studies on the organizational culture, promotion process, system construction, system level, product safety review, product safety assurance, system operation, and its effectiveness and necessity of recognition for the PL system of small and medium-sized firms in Gangwon-Do province. The results show that the firms have product safety regulations, but the number of firms which its employees understand the regulations is less than the number of firms which do not understand. Also the number of firms which is preparing PL prevention and insurance, and counterplan for accidents seems to be not in large numbers.

This research has been accomplished to build up the growth strategies of Kangwon district's small & medium-sized construction firms. For this purpose, we made an investigation of the present situation and status for existing regional small & medium construction firms by analyzing data. Based on the results from this study, the following growth strategies are suggested to gain their competitive advantages. Firstly, most of all, the role of the top manager is the most important factor since most of the top manager for the small & medium-sized construction firms coincide with the owner the firms. Secondly, the specialization strategy is to establish. Above all they concentrate their business capacities on core business. Then, this growth strategy should be based on the selective escalation of functions in order to maintain an appropriate level of construction works. Thirdly, the specialized skills and skilled workers are ensured for competitive advantages. For human resource development, they should train workers to be multi-functioned on the assumption the they could stay at firm until they wish to retire. Finally, the government must also spare no effort to encourage the small & medium-sized construction firms to build up it's competitive power and cultivate it's spontaneous generation power though the reformation of system related whit the small and medium construction industry.

The government has strengthened the system of restricting participation of large corporations to limit participation in national information system construction projects and to increase participation of SME software companies. This study analyzes the financial performances of small and medium sized IT firms in Korea three years prior and 3 years after the restrictions on participation of large firm. A sample of 121 small and medium-sized IT services firms were classified into 3 groups and statistical techniques (T-test and one-way ANOVA) were used for the purpose of the analysis. In the three years after the restriction of participation of large corporations, the total assets and sales of the medium and small IT service firms were positive, but the operating profit and net profit were negative. There were many worries about the introduction of the restriction on the participation of large corporations, but many were stabilized. However, the negative impact was more pronounced for SMEs. Therefore, the reduction effect of SME IT service companies is different from the first legislative purpose of enforcing the restriction system of large enterprises, so we propose to revise the policy.

The construction industry is a significant component of many economies and typically contains a high proportion of small and medium enterprises. However, it is generally understood that this industry is fragmented, adversarial, not highly innovative and not quick to respond to change. At the same time, the industry is under pressure to continue to embrace new technologies and methods, and to adapt better to current and emerging global issues such as sustainability. In order to meet these challenges, firms in the industry need to understand the issues involved and manage their practices accordingly. This paper describes exploratory research into the role of innovative and environmentally sustainable design and construction practices in one group of construction firms, viz., smaller residential building firms in Queensland, Australia.

This paper presents the safety performance of domestic small-sized construction companies including the characteristic and current status of safety management actions of the firms. Safety performance both at the head office and job sites of each construction companies, which are divided two groups by construction capacity ranking, are investigated. The investigation results on the small-sized construction companies in this study was compared with those of on the large and medium-sized construction companies studied in existing papers. General recognition that there is a wide difference of safety performance among domestic construction companies by construction capacity ranking was companies by this study. Especially, Data analysis shows that the safety performance of the small-sized companies has the larger difference than large and midium-sized companies.

This paper introduces the public-oriented e-Hub construction for strategic alliances in the community. In addition, this paper tries to analyze th among degree of competition, potential of strategic alliance, and financial performance.
