  • Electrogastrography(EGG) is the technique by which gastric myoelectrical activity is recorded noninvasively, from surface electrodes on the abdominal skin. In older to know the relation between the signal of the gastric mil and the EGG signal, we measured the gastric myoelectrical activity in animals using surface electrodes and serosal electrodes, and measured the gastric contraction simultaneously using a strain gauge attached to the gastric wall we compared the signals with and without the gastric contraction.

  • Electrogastrography(EGG) is the technique by which gastric myoelectrical activity is recorded noninvasively, from electrodes on the abdominal skin. This gastric myoelectrical activity consists of two type signals : 1) slow wave, which is gastric basal rhyemic activity and is not closely related to gastric contraction 2) spike wave, which is generated only during contraction of the stomach. Despite many attempts made over the decades, analysis of surface EGG has not led to identification of the spike wave (gastric contraction) that would help the clinician to diagnose functional or organic diseases of the stomach. In this paper, we propose a feasible methods to detect gastric contraction by frequency-domain signal analysis of surface ECG signal. Synchronous measurement of gastric pressure by the antropyloric manometry with surface EGG established feasibility of this method.

  • In the military communication environment, it is very difficult to obtain clear voice signal due to the high level noise. The purpose of this study is to find out the best body spot to get the vocal chords signal by measuring the skin or the bone conducting vibrations of different body positions within the noise environment. Based on the experimental study, it was found out that the measurement of sound signal within the ear is the best way to get the voice which comes from the vocal chords and this method can prevent the interruption of noise. This study will give the effective voice communication method in the high noise environment and be applicable to military purpose.

  • The current distribution in the source coil region is analyzed using the two dimensional finite element method. The variables in the FEM are the magnetic vector potentials and the source current density. The boundary condition for the source current density is that the total current is the sum of the eddy current and the source current and is known quantity from measurement. The simulation results are compared with the analytical solution. It is found that the method can analyze the current distribution in the source conductors very accurately.

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the oriental-western cooperative treatment on opthalmic and dermatologic disease caused by adverse effect of filler injection galbella region. Method : After filler injection, a patient suffers from spontenous blineness and palsy of oculomotor and trochlear nerve on right eye and erythema on glabella and nasal region. She is admitted to kyung-hee oriental hospital for 2 weeks with oriental(herbal-medicine, acupunture and nega treatment) and western(department of opthalmology, dermatology and plastic surgery measurement) treatment. Result & Conclusion : Nerve palsy was recovered near to normal. And skin legion was proceeded to recovery period without any complication. This recovery speed with oriental-western cooperative treatment is much faster than usual treatment.

  • Recently, there are a lot of report about the safety accident in laser equipment for example laser pointer, laser level, laser distance meter, temperature measurement equipment and so on. But most of people doesn't care of the safety, and some of the people were damaged by laser in the retina and skin. So in this reaserch So in this thesis, research the safety control rules in global and domestic regulations and international standard IEC 60825-1. From the above research, develop the safety control rules to improve the consumer safety.

  • This study investigates the psychological effects of positive/negative valence order in repeated exposure to a suspenseful text. Specifically, the study seeks to understand how the order in which positive and negative elements are presented in a narrative impacts the experience of suspense, arousal, and enjoyment in readers or listeners. Using a suspenseful short story, participants were exposed to narratives with varying valence orders in a repeated-measures design. The study employed self-report questionnaires and psychophysiological measurements to capture participants' psychological responses. The results supported the hypothesis that repeated exposure impacts suspense, with negative valence enhancing suspense and arousal. Moreover, the order of valence influenced participants' psychological responses, indicating that positive valence can mitigate the impact of repeated exposure. However, the influence on enjoyment was not significant. Psychophysiological measures, specifically skin conductance level (SCL), revealed trends of habituation over repeated exposure. The findings underscore the significance of negative valence in heightening suspense and suggest directions for future research in exploring diverse factors that contribute to suspense in both fictional and real-life contexts.

  • It is necessary to develop small, implantable bio-telemetry systems which can measure and transmit patients' bio-signals from internal body to external receiver. When measuring bio-signals, like electrical bio-signals, acoustic bio-signal measurement has also a big clinical usefulness. But, sound signal has larger frequency bandwidth than any other bio-signals. When considering these issues, a wireless telemetry system which has rapid data transmission rate proportional to wide frequency bandwidth is necessary to be developed. The bluetooth module is used to overcome the data rate limitation caused by the large frequency bandwidth. In this paper, a novel multimedia bluetooth biotelemetry system was developed which consists of transmitter module located in the body and receiver device located outside of the body. The transmitter consists of microphone, bluetooth, and wireless charging device. And the receiver consists of bluetooth and codec system. The sound inside the skin is captured by microphone and sent to receiver by bluetooth while charging. The wireless charging system constantly supplies the electric power to the system. To verify the performance of the developed system, an in vitro experiment has been performed. The results show that the proposed biotelemetry system has ability to acquire the sound signals under the skin.

  • In this paper, we introduce an electrocardiogram (ECG) system designed to solve problems caused by wetgels and motion artifacts in measuring active movement. The system is called a dry-contact ECG and was designed by considering impedance matching between skin and electrode as well as the frictional electricity between electrode and clothes. In order to create the system, we measured impedance on the skin-electrode interface, and the result was applied to the electronic circuit scheme. Moreover, we added an electrode on the back of the measurement electrode to make a flow path to ground the electrical noise. The final ECG circuit and novel electrode were used to detect real human cardiac signals from a subject who was tested while standing still and walking. The signals obtained from the two activities were nicely shaped, without any motion artifact noise. We took electrode size into account in this study because the impedance depended on the area of the electrode. An electrode of 50 mm diameter showed the best curve for the ECG signal without any electrical noise.
