고전압 태양광 패널용 고효율 단상 태양광 인버터 (A High-efficiency Single-phase Photovoltaic Inverter for High-voltage Photovoltaic Panels)

  • 고전압 태양광 패널에서 단상 계통으로의 직류-교류 전력 변환을 위해 벅부스트 컨버터에 풀브리지 인버터를 종속적으로 연결하는 두 단계의 무변압기 인버터가 주로 사용된다. 태양광 패널의 큰 기생 커패시턴스에 기인하는 과도한 누설 전류를 피하기 위해 풀브리지 인버터는 단극성 PWM에 비해 훨씬 더 많은 전력 손실을 초래하는 양극성 PWM으로만 스위칭할 수 있다. 그런 낮은 효율을 개선하기 위해 본 논문은 벅부스트 컨버터에 회로 절연을 위한 IGBT와 다이오드를 하나씩 추가한 새로운 토폴로지를 제안한다. 제안된 회로 절연 방식은 누설 전류를 증가시키지 않으면서 풀브리지 인버터에서 단극성 PWM을 가능케 함으로써 전체 효율을 개선한다. 제안된 방법의 타당성은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 전력 손실 계산을 통해 검증한다.

  • This research presented the new zero-current switching pulse width modulation SEPP(Single Ended Push-Pull)high frequency inverter for solving the problem of the zero-current SEPP high frequency inverter circuit which is using widely in the practical application of an induction heating apparatus, the soft switching operation and power control are impossible when the lowest power supply in the zero-current switching pulse width modulation SEPP high frequency inverter. The inverter circuit which is attempted by on-off operation of a switch has the reduction effect of the power loss due to a soft switching and a high frequency switching. And it confirmed that the power regulation is possible continuously from 0.25[kW] until 2.84[kW] in the case the duty rate(D) changes from 0.08 to 0.3 under zero-current switching operating by a dissymmetry pulse width modulating control and the power conversion efficiency comes true the efficiency of 95[%]. Due to the result above, the ZCS PWM SEPP high frequency inverter will be effective as sources of an induction heating apparatus.

A Bidirectional Single-Stage DC/AC Converter for Grid Connected Energy Storage Systems

  • In this paper, a unified control strategy using the current space vector modulation (CSVM) technique is proposed and applied to a bidirectional three-phase DC/AC converter. The operation of the converter changes with the direction of the power flow. In the charging mode, it works as a buck type rectifier; and during the discharging mode, it operates as a boost type inverter, which makes it suitable as an interface between high voltage AC grids and low voltage energy storage devices. This topology has the following advantages: high conversion efficiency, high power factor at the grid side, tight control of the charging current and fast transition between the charging and discharging modes. The operating principle of the mode analysis, the gate signal generation, the general control strategy and the transition from a constant current (CC) to a constant voltage (CV) in the charging mode are discussed. The proposed control strategy has been validated by simulations and experimental results obtained with a 1kW laboratory prototype using supercapacitors as an energy storage device.

  • We had developed the on-line environmental monitoring system which has installed around Kori Nuclear Power Plants and will be taken the place of the existing system. The system consists of a main computer and 11 sets of radiation monitoring post equipments. Nal(Tl) scintillation detectro was adopted in addition to ion-chamber detector and implemented with DCU(Dose Conversion Unit) and SCA(Single Channel Analyzer). Compared with the existing system, it has revised feature in the radiation measurements which are detection of artificial radioactivity and 2-ways of the radiatiion detectors. The field test trsults show that the developed radiation detecting equipments can measure environmental radiation withn 5.0% of the theoretical value.

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 BESS(Battery Energy Storage System)용 컨버터/인버터 일체형 전력변환시스템을 제안한다. 양방향전력흐름 제어와 경량화를 위한 일체형 전력변환시스템으로 직류 출력 및 교류 출력이 가능한 일체형 토폴로지를 제안한다. 또한 제안 토폴로지에 대해, 배터리 충전 및 배터리에서 부하로 전력 공급을 위한 제안 토폴로지의 제어 알고리즘을 설계하고 이에 대한 유효성을 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 검증한다.

Novel Position Controller for PMSM Based on State Feedback and Load Torque Feed-Forward

  • In this paper, a novel position controller based on state feedback and feed-forward is proposed. Traditional position and speed controllers are replaced by a single controller with the position and speed as state feedbacks, and the position command and load torque as feed-forwards. The feedback and feed-forward gains are obtained by analytic modeling and design. The load torque, rotor speed and position are estimated by an observer based on a Kalman filter (KF) with a low resolution mechanical position sensor. Feed-forward compensation by an estimated load torque is used to improve the dynamic performance during load torque changes.

  • This paper describes a control technique for a high frequency (HF) link current-fed inverter with a single power conversion stage. The switching and control techniques for the primary full-bridge inverter and secondary cycloconverter are presented for generating a sinusoidal output voltage. The simulation and experimental results are provided to show the validity of the proposed control technique.

  • A GaAs MMIC composed of VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) and mixer for PCS receiver has been developed using 1.mu.m ion implanted GaAs MESFET process. The VCO consists of a colpitts-type oscillator with a dielectric resonator and the circuit configuration of the mixer is a dual-gate type with an asymmetric combination of LO and RF FETs for the improvement of intermodulation characteristics. The common-source self-biasing is used in all circuits including a buffer amplifier and mixer, achieving a single power supply (3V) operation. The total power dissipation is 78mW. The VCO chip shows a phase noise of-99 dBc/Hz at 100KHz offset. The combined VCO/mixer chip shows a flat conversion gain of 2dB, the frequency-tuning factor of 80MHz/volts in the varacter bias ranging from 0.5V to 0.5V , and output IP3 of dBm at varactor bias of 0V. The fabricated chip size is 2.5mm X 1.4mm.

  • A method is described for the design and fabrication of the sensor interface circuits on the Clark electrodes for the dissolved oxygen(DO). The discussion includes a method for the +5 V single-supply driving for the sensor circuits, which has low power comsumption for the front-end electronics. DO probe under test is composed of the Clark electrode with silver anode, gold cathode and the electrolyte of half saturated KCI solution and the FEP teflon memtrance for the oxygen penetration. Typical polarograms for the DO probes by using this sensor circuit reveals high accuracy over 99% of the I to V conversion. Partial pressure of oxygen obtained from the polarograms are well suited to the results calculated. It is expected that the proposed sensor circuits can be utilized into the customized IC for the battery-driven small-size DO meters.
