뉴럴네트웍에 기반한 Data Least Squares를 사용한 채널 등화기 알고리즘 (A Channel Equalization Algorithm Using Neural Network Based Data Least Squares)

  • Using the neural network model for oriented principal component analysis (OPCA), we propose a solution to the data least squares (DLS) problem, in which the error is assumed to lie in the data matrix only. In this paper, we applied this neural network model to channel equalization. Simulations show that the neural network based DLS outperforms ordinary least squares in channel equalization problems.

  • The moonpool is a vertical well ill floating barge, frequently found in drilling ships and in diving support vessel. In this paper, numerical simulation of two-dimensional flow in moonpool situated in moving vessel is carried out using the commercial software FLUENT. The focus of the simulation is to understand drag generation mechanics of moonpool flow. To examine the effect of free surface motion on the drag, simulations are also carried out by employing two different boundary conditions at the free surface.

  • A successful store separation analysis tool, MSAP(Multi-body Separation Analysis Program) has been applied to F/A-18C/JDAM CFD Challenge II. The challenge was devised to challenge CFD community to use CFD methodologies to predict and match the trajectory of a JDAM MK-84 separating from F/A-l8C. Trajectory simulations for two flight conditions were performed. Comparison between computed and measured flight trajectories for both conditions shows a good agreement.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF COGNITIVE NETWORK WITH PRIMARY AND SECONDARY CHANNELS

  • We consider a cognitive network with a primary and a secondary channel. Primary users have higher priority on the usage of the primary channel, and secondary users are allowed to opportunistically access the primary channel at times when the channel is not occupied by primary users. The secondary channel is dedicated only to secondary users. An analytical model is presented to obtain the performance of an opportunistic spectrum access using both the primary and secondary channels, and is validated by simulations.

  • In this paper, analysis of the noise induced by rotating machines and the mode analysis of a 3-dimensional enclosure are presented. Adaptive active noise control algorithms for the multi-channel case are proposed. Computer simulations were done to show usefulness of the designed algorithm in a 3-dimensional enclosure case.

  • This paper deals with the characteristic analysis of noise filter for the reduction of conduction noise, especially, common-mode noise. Attenuation in the system containing noise filter is analyzed and equivalent circuits for common- and differential- mode noise are derived. To clarify the effects by parasitic components of the inductor and capacitor, digital simulations using Design Center are carried out.

  • This paper presents a stability analysis of network systems with time delay. Time delay problem frequently occurs in network systems. Since it makes network systems unstable and unpredictable, an optimal controller is necessary to network systems. We prove the asymptotical stability of time delayed network systems using LMI optimization method and appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. Simulations show the effectiveness of the method.

유체-구조 연성해석 기반 해저케이블 위해인자의 수중낙하 특성 비교 (Comparison of Underwater Drop Characteristics for Hazard Apparatuses on Subsea Cable Using Fluid-Structure Interaction Analysis)

  • It is known that damages to the subsea cables used for electric power transmission between islands and countries, including renewable energy from offshore wind power, current, tides, etc., cost much to restore, which causes social and economic losses. Various types of fishing rigs and anchors have been reported to be the greatest hazards to subsea cables. It is possible to design and construct a suitable protection facility for a subsea cable by precisely estimating the underwater behavior of such hazardous apparatuses. In this study, numerical simulations of the underwater behaviors of various hazardous apparatuses were carried out using fluid-structure interaction (FSI) analysis as a basic study to simulate the actual behavior phenomena of hazardous apparatuses in relation to a subsea cable. In addition, the underwater drop characteristics according to the types of hazardous apparatuses were compared. In order to verify the accuracy of the FSI analysis method used in this study, we compared the test results for underwater drops of a steel ball bearing. Stock anchors, stockless anchors, and rocket piles, which were actually reported to be the cases of damage to subsea cables along the southwest coast of Korea, were considered as the hazardous apparatuses for the numerical simulations. Each hazardous apparatus was generated by a Lagrangian model and coupled with the fluid domain idealized by the Eulerian equation to construct the three-dimensional FSI analysis model. The accuracy of the numerical simulation results was verified by comparing them with the analytical solutions, and the underwater drop characteristics according to the types of hazard apparatuses were compared.

분산 시뮬레이션에서의 Coverage 분석에 관한 연구 (Quality of Coverage Analysis on Distributed Stochastic Steady-State Simulations)

  • 본 논문에서는 분산 시뮬레이션 기법 중에 하나인 MRIP(Multiple Replications In Parallel) 시나리오에서 각종 순차적인 시뮬레이션 분석 방법들의 성능을 측정할 수 있는 포함범위(Coverage)에 대한 신뢰구간(confidence intervals) 및 속도향상(Speedup)에 대해 살펴보았다. F-분포를 기반으로 한 신뢰구간에 대한 추정기(estimator)를 단일 프로세서와 다중 프로세서 상에서 참조모델(reference model)로 $M/M/1/{\infty},\;M/D/I/{\infty}과\;M/H_{2}/1/{\infty}$큐잉 시스템을 활용하여 정상상태(steady-state)에서의 평균치를 추정하는 시뮬레이션에 적용하였다. 순차적인 포함범위 분석을 위해서는 수많은 시뮬레이션 실행(Run)들이 요구되는데, MRIP 분산 시뮬레이션 시나리오에서 다중 프로세서를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 최종 시뮬레이션 결과를 얻는데 걸리는 신간을 감소시켰다. 또한, LNA으로 연결된 분산 컴퓨팅 시스템에 시뮬레이션을 동시에 수행시킴으로써 쉽게 필요한 수의 시뮬레이션 실행결과(Run)를 수집할 수 있다. 이는 샘플의 수가 증가됨으로써 좀더 신뢰도가 높은 최종 신뢰구간을 시뮬레이션 수행자가 얻을 수 있게 해준다.

  • In this paper, resonance durability analysis technique is presented for the fatigue life assessment considering dynamic effect of a vehicle system. In the resonance durability analysis, the frequency response and the dynamic load on frequency domain are used. Multi-body dynamic analysis, finite element analysis, and fatigue life prediction method are applied for the virtual durability assessment. To obtain the frequency response and the dynamic load, the computer simulations running over typical pothole and Belgian road are carried out by utilizing vehicle dynamic model. The durability estimations on the rear suspension system of the passenger car are performed by using the presented technique and compared with the quasi-static durability analysis. The study shows that the fatigue life considering resonant frequency of vehicle system can be effectively estimated in early design stage.
