Purpose - The goals of this study are the following. First, this study focused on customer satisfaction of in-flight service. Specifically, in-flight duty free items were considered because of their potential value related with the differentiated strategy of airline companies. Second, this study analyzed feasible strategies that would fence off the aversive attitudes of consumers toward innovation regarding in-flight duty free items. Third, this study strived to discover implicit routes related with the reactions of of consumers to innovation. Fourth, the construal level theory was applied to the context of in-flight service. Psychological distance is expected to promote acceptance of innovation for duty free items. Research design, data, and methodology - This study consisted of three experiments. All data were collected through the participation of university students. First, the experiment employed a 2×2 between-subject design. The first independent variable was temporal distance (long vs. short of navigation time). The second independent variable was innovativeness (innovative duty free items vs. typical items). Further, experiment 2 involved a 2×2 between-subject design. The first independent variable was social distance (typical vs. atypical stewardess image). The second was innovativeness that was based on a pattern similar to that of the prior experiment. The third experiment involved a 2×2×2 design. The first and second independent variables were temporal distance and item innovation, respectively, based on the method of experiment 1. The third independent variable was cognitive depletion (depletion vs. control condition). Results - Experiment 1 demonstrated that the innovation of duty free items would need to consider the journey time of the airline. Specifically, innovative items were preferred in case of a long journey; typical items, however, were liked in a short journey. Further, experiment 2 demonstrated that, in spite of a short journey, innovative items would be preferred if an atypical stewardess was serving. An atypical stewardess was linked with social distance, and the psychological effects would activate a creative and flexible mindset that would fit with innovative duty free items. The final experiment was accomplished for the examination of cognitive processing of psychological distance on innovation-acceptance. Specifically, if the effects were related with systematic processing, then cognitive effort would be needed. In contrast, if they were related with heuristic processing, then such efforts would not be required. The same pattern appeared under both cognitive depletion and control condition; therefore, the effects of psychological distance were implied to be heuristic processing. Conclusions - Managers need to consider the navigation time, stewardess concepts, and depletion of consumers as important factors for innovative strategy regarding in-flight service. Longer journeys are more successful for innovative trials. Further, a more atypical stewardess image is more successful for atypical service. Long navigation and unfamiliar stewardesses may activate creative and flexible thinking. Further, cognitive depletion of consumers is not a dominant factor of psychological distance effects, because the effects are not related with systematic processing, but with heuristic processing.

Republic of Korea designates a waste disposal site within the fishing zone administered jointly with Chin in the Yellow Sea. The issue of waste disposal at sea is subject to the 1996 Protocol to the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter commonly called London Protocol. China, one of the contracting parties declared that if China becomes a party to a dispute concerning the interpretation and application of the Protocol, the Arbitral procedure of the Protocol shall only be applied with written consent of the Government of China according to the Article 16.5 of the Protocol at the time of its accession. The Article allows any State may declare that, when it is a party to dispute about the interpretation or application of precautionary approach or polluter pay principle, its consent will be required before the dispute may be settled by means of the Arbitral procedure of the Protocol. This paper analyzes the legal basis of Chinese declaration and its implication to parties that may be in dispute with China using international precedents of similar nature and a game theory.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the existing theories related to overtraining syndrome and to examine the mechanism of overtraining syndrome from the viewpoint of brain science by examining domestic and foreign literature related to the relationship between overtraining syndrome and brain neurotransmitter. The aim of this paper is to provide basic data that can improve the understanding of the mechanism of overtraining syndrome and the role of neurotransmitters and neuromodulators. The results of this study and a number of hypotheses about the overtraining syndrome were proposed, each with strengths and weaknesses. Similar symptoms that occur when the concentration of serotonin in the neurotransmitter increases are related to signs and symptoms of overtraining syndrome. However, it has not been validated to date because it can not distinguish the mechanism of the mediator between the central nervous system and the peripheral nerves. This study suggests that the mechanism of overtraining syndrome will provide important basic information to understand the complex causes of overtraining syndrome through the interaction of existing theory and brain neurotransmitter. Although there has been a lack of studies on the mechanism of overtraining syndrome and brain neurotransmitters so far, we hope that this study will provide an opportunity for more and more people to broaden their understanding of overtraining syndromes.

The purpose of this paper is to define the spatial scope and landscape structure of the capital city of Shilla Dynasty. We have tried to analyze the locational characteristics, the location and landscape form of the Yonggang-Dong pond site which was assumed a part of a king's place, and had the important implicitness in delineating the spatial scope of capital city of Shilla Dynasty. The research took the theory of landscape cognition as a tool, and processed with the book review related simultaneously. The results of study are as follows; 1) It has been almost conformed that the Yonggang-Dong Pond Site was a part of the North Palace of Shilla Dynasty, and it took the form of fully enclosed by the forest, such as the names of Imjungsu and Gosungsu, and so on. This fact has leaded to the special landscape form of 'Forest with Palace' that is an similar pattern of Forest with Tumulus, Forest having Well, Forest having Well, Forest having Mountain. Each of them is symbolizing the place of holiness in the Shilla Dynasty. 2) The Yonggang-Dong Pond site and its surrounding forests made them together be the north border of the Capital City of Shilla Dynasty. This fact made it possible to consider the form of landscape of the Najung Forest with Posugjung Pavilion as the same on which was on the southern border of the city. 3) The above mentioned facts lead to clues that the border of the capital city of Shilla Dynasty does mean that it was not the mere functional one, but symbolic one. Thus, this paper suggests that the spatial scope of the capital city of Shilla Dynasty should include not only the area of block system, but also the surrounding natural area of mountains, forests, and so on, including the artificial elements of palace and pavilion. 4) This type of borders with the natural elements show basically the different type and function. We could find out some examples from China's and Japan under the same block systems and in the same era. It should be more identifiable in the form and the meaning of landscape of the capital city of Silla Dynasty in ancient Korea.

Today there are many Web courseware systems for formative evaluation and feedback. Formative evaluation and feedback provided according to users' response in most Web courseware systems, however, are simple texts showing only whether correct or wrong, correct answers, relevant information, etc., far deviated from actual context. Thus such a system may weaken the corrective function of feedback and, as a result, reduce learners' understanding of contents and the possibility of learning transfer. In addition, according to the learning theory of constructivism, learning is influenced by the situation, in which it happens, and knowledge is learned and transferred differently depending on the context in which it is learned. In the background, this study designed and implemented a contextual error-correction feedback system that can provide feedback in a context closely related and similar to the relevant situation according to the response of learners when formative evaluation is carried out in Web courseware. In addition, it applied 'correction/correct-answer-providing feedback', 'relevant information providing feedback' and 'contextual error-correction feedback' to Web courseware for learning actual productivity S/W and verified if 'contextual error-correction feedback' is more effective than other two types of feedback for learners' academic achievement.
Horizontal consolidation characteristics of Busan marine clay were investigated by computing coefficient of horizontal consolidation from Piezocone data and comparing their results with those of standard consolidation test. It is well known that current prediction models of $c_h$ for high plastic soils have large uncertainties, and show a great difference between the predicted and the measured values. However, the spherical models and expanding cavity theory of Torstensson(1977), and Burns & Mayne(1998) based on modified Cam-Clay model with critical limit state concepts have relative reliability in estimating $c_h$ and good applicability in highly plasticity soils. In this paper, a normalization technique was used to evaluate $c_h$ using the Burns and Mayne's method based on the dissipation test, and their normalized consolidation curves give 0.015 of time factor($T_{50}$) when 50% degree of consolidation is completed. Comparison study using Piezocone data obtained at other similar ground site shows 1.5 times less systematicality than that of standard consolidation test, which indicates considerable approximation with the measured values because standard consolidation test gives the difference of three to few times compared with the measured values. In addition, design chart for estimating $c_h$ based on the chart from Robertson et al.(1992) and using the other method of the direct prediction from the of dissipation test was newly proposed. It is judged that new proposed chart is very applicable to Korean marine soils, especially in very high plastic soils.

There are complex interactions between personal and contextual features in teaching in a science museum. In order to analyze two teachers' holding classes in a science museum, the CHAT (cultural historical activity theory) was used as an analysis tool in a case study. The analyses of the results revealed that both teachers had difficulties teaching in a science museum due to the contradictions among the factors of subject, rules, community, and division of labor in the activity system. Although both teachers had trouble with similar contradictions, there appeared to be different sets of internalization and externalization of such conflicts depending on the difference in the teacher's perceptions and experiences about teaching in a science museum, the passion and the motivation of the teachers. These suggested that efforts should be preceded to foster the activity system providing both emotional and social supports to teachers in order to activate teaching in a science museum. Taking a teacher training course on teaching in a science museum was also found to fail to function as mediating artifacts. The course should provide not only the experience of executing proper teaching strategies for teaching in a science museum and the feedback on their teaching, but also the guidance on how to lead to optimal expansion of the factors in the activity system.

This case is an analysis of how a late comer to the market of online dating in Korea, Dorsia, successfully develops its services called Amanda. Since 2010, the online dating market in Korea has been fast growing. Despite its short history, many corporations have attempted to make success in the market. But most of them were unable to gain foothold in a market where the first comer had a huge advantage. Amanda, however, has provided differentiated services to great success in a short period. This paper conducted a semi-structured interview with major executives of Dorsia to acquire data which were then used to interpret based on the theories of business management and psychology. This study presents a strategic insight into how competitiveness can be gained in internet-based businesses in the online dating market, as well as those in markets that have similar traits. Moreover, by identifying issues that need to be addressed in order for Amanda to continue its growth, the study seeks to simultaneously review the issues that need resolution related to online commerce, as well as the great potential of online commerce.
This paper examines the vertical stress change concentrated on mine pillar which occurs due to the stress disturbance from opening excavation at room and pillar mine by FLAC3D, a finite difference method (FDM) software. The mesh size combination is decided with a careful consideration of relative error and run-time, then its performance is verified. A series of numerical analyses is conducted and the vertical stress at central pillar was observed for the test cases of 1×1 to 11×11 mine pillars, 40 m to 320 m depth with 40 m difference. The results show that the vertical stress of pillar approaches to the similar value with the value estimated by tributary area theory(TAT) when the development area (NP) is increased or the height of overburden (HOB) is decreased, while it is overestimated in the opposite case. Furthermore, it also represents that the vertical stress factor (VSF) converges to a specific value when the depth is increased whille keeping the development area identical.
To investigate the current structures and diffusion characteristics in Youngil Bay, a systematic field observations of current velocity, drogue tracking, dye diffusion experiment and aerial photographing were performed. The flow patterns in the surface layer of the bay depend more strongly on the wind and ocean current than the tidal current, and the patterns in the middle are predominated by the ocean current. The residual currents in the surface generally flow toward the inner bay through the western and central areas of the bay, and then the currents go toward the ocean along the eastern shore of the bay with anti-clock-wise circulation. The residual currents in the surface of the eastern cease are not nearly influenced by the wind, and the currents always move northward to northeastward. However, the currents in the western shore depend strongly on the wind and the outflow of the Huntsman River, that is, the residual currents go northward to northeastward when the southerly to westerly winds blow or a large amount of flow from the river discharge. The residual currents in the middle layer flow toward the inner bay along the western shore of the bay, and the incomed currents go out to the ocean along the eastern shore with anticlockwise circulation. The diffusion of dye patch by the instantaneous point source shows a similar pattern to the drogue trajectory, and the apparent diffusion coefficients of the dye patch by Fick's theory is 1.14${\times}$10$^4$ cm$^2$/s. The behavior of the river discharges in flood shows a band type's effluent pattern toward the outer bay along the western coast.
