Saccular Aneurysm of the Azygos Anterior Cerebral Artery : Three Case Reports

  • The azygos anterior cerebral artery, a rare anomaly in the circle of Willis in which only a single vessel supplies the medial aspects of both anterior cerebral hemispheres, is closely associated with saccular aneurysms. We present three cases of azygos anterior cerebral artery aneurysms among the 781 cerebral aneurysms surgically treated at our institution in an 11-year period. These three cases all involved elderly women who presented with subarachnoid hemorrhage. Conventional cerebral angiography and CT angiography revealed small saccular aneurysms at the distal ends of the azygos anterior cerebral arteries. These aneurysms were clipped successfully using a bifrontal interhemispheric approach. Hence, the pathogenesis of these particular aneurysms relating to hemodynamic change, associated anomalies, and surgical pitfalls is discussed with review of literature.

  • In this paper, we propose a voting method for capacitance measurement. Nowadays the measurement system is changing from analog system to digital system. However, capacitance measurement system has a data error because of the noise. The data of general digital measurement system include an internal and external measurement noises that highly affect to the results. Therefore, this paper proposes data compensation method using voting method. Finally, simulation results are used to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • Recently, Several type of motors are used more widely in Fan system because of their low cost and high reliability. Therefore, the importance of fault detection and isolation of fan system significantly increases. The motor is a important factor bring out the fan system fault. So the problem of a fault detection for motor based on a parameter identification will be considered in this paper. After an introduction into fault detection with parameter estimation, a mathematical model for motor with special emphasis on motor itself. In the fault detection system, current and motor speed are used as parameter. Finally, simulation results are used to demonstrate the efficiency of the fault detection system.

  • In this paper, a robust control system with the disturbance observer is proposed for BLDC servo system. The overall control system consists of the speed controller which is implemented with PI controller and the disturbance observer with free parameters. The proposed control system is designed the command input response and the closed loop characteristics independently by using two-degrees-of-freedom concept, so it can improve the closed loop characteristics with no influence on the command input response. The effective suppression of disturbance with the observer improves the characteristics of the closed loop of the system. And also, by fluting the bandwidth of free parameters, measurement noise is considered. To verify the better performance of the proposed control system than that of the conventional PI controllers, the performance of the controller is analyzed theoretically and some simulation results are presented.

  • In this paper, for the more accurate data communication, Voting Algorithm is used to detect and correct some error. Voting is a fundamental operation in the realization of ultrareliable systems that are based on multi-channel computations. Finally, the per formance of this algorithm is analyzed theoretically and some simulation results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

  • 원자력 발전소가 전력계통으로부터 분리되어 외부전원으로 발전소 내부의 주요 보조기기들을 운전할 수 없는 상황에서 비상디젤 발전기는 원자력발전소의 핵심 냉각펌프 등 전원을 공급하지 않으면 안 된다. 현재까지는 품질등급 Q-Class인 비상 발전기 여자시스템이 외국 기술에 전적으로 의존하여 공급되었는데 비상발전기가 차지하는 역할의 중요성으로 인한 품질활동 절차, 규제기관의 인허가 획득 등의 문제 때문에 비상 디젤발전기의 여자시스템이 현재까지 국산 연구개발이 이루어지지 않았다. 본 논문은 원전 비상디젤 발전기 여자시스템의 국산개발에 필요한 시스템의 기기 검증에 대한 내용을 기술하고자 한다.

X선 단순촬영에 있어서 신장결석의 출현에 관한 검토 (A Study on the Phenomena of Renal Stone in Simple Radiography)

  • This paper investigated on influence on the distinguishability of renal stone in the accordance with thickness of object, x-ray tube voltage and base density. In the relationship between object and renal stone shadow, object and tube voltage, the obtained results can be summarized as the following. 1. When thickness of object was thin, the distinguishability increased in base density $2.0{\sim}2.5$, but for adults was best shown in base density 1.5. 2. In the relationship between object and tube voltage, the distinguishability increased at lower tube voltages ($50{\sim}60\;kVp$), using grid. As mentioned above, it was thought that this method was very effective in describing the phenomena of renal stone in film density 1.5, tube voltages 60 kVp.

  • Authors could recognize surrounding areas induding target area by the observable film density with spot radiography using Cu mask and also, radiographic images maintained high quality. Spot radiography has been utilized for a long time for the purpose of observing detail image by the control of scattered radiation. But it has been difficult to know body part in general spot radiography. Therefore it is thought that attempt to use Cu mask in spot radiography is very advantageous in a clinical examinations.

X-선촬영 조건에 따른 피폭선량 조사연구 (A Survey on Enterence Dose by Exposure Factors)

  • By analyzing each part of expsure condition and the status of an entrance dose which is exposed to patients, this study reached the following conclusion. Since there is no standard in setting up an exposure condition, the technology practiced in each facility varies tremendously, and the entrance dose increased especially due to the improper selection of screen and grid and the shortage of a total amount of filtration in leaching the standard filtration amount. Entrance dose was, generally, turned out to be $2{\sim}3$ times as much as that of advanced countries, and there was big difference between facilities ; approximately 52 times inlateral of cervical vertebrae, 35 times in A-P of femur, 33 times in chest A-P, and 11 times in lumber A-P. Therefore, to minimize the entrance dose of a patient with thegreatest amount of image information, acquirement of technological know-how necessary for standardization of exposure condition for each part can be an important research task.
