  • There are complicated and big shear zone which is about several tens meter in the middle of the cutting slope in this study area. And slope stability analysis is very hard because many fault zones are gathered in the shear zone. This study furnish imformations of scrutinized geological survey, numerical stability analysis, reinforcement work analysis and computation of ground mass properties. Then this offer rational slope stability analysis, rock mass decision and counterplan.

Microstructural observations of shear zones at cohesive soil-steel interfaces under large shear displacements

  • Failure mechanism which can affect geotechnical infrastructures (shallow foundations, retaining walls, and piles) constitutes one of the most encountered problems during the design process. In this respect, the shear behavior of interfaces between grained soils and solid building materials, as well as those between cohesive soils should be investigated. Therefore, a range of ring shear tests with different cohesive soils and stainless-steel interfaces have been carried out through the Bromhead apparatus that allows simulating large displacements along a failure surface. The effects of steel rings roughness and soil type on the residual friction coefficient and the shear zone features (structure, thickness, and texture orientation angle) have been investigated using the Scanning Electron Microscopy. The obtained results indicate that the residual friction coefficient and the structural characteristics of the shear zone vary according to the surface roughness and the soil type. Scanning electron microscopy reveals that the particles inside the shear zone tend to be re-oriented. Also, the shear failure mechanism can be identified along with the interface, within the soil, or simultaneously at the interface and within the soil specimen.

  • Recently in spite of Development of Investigation machine, in Application of Geotechnical Properties by empirical recommendation to the Slope Stability Analysis. It is generally Application of convenience and conservative Geotechnical Properties by Borehole Shear Test(BST) in Representative Zone that Non-Division of Increase as the depth of Strength Parameters In Deep Weathered Zone. Therefore, it is become environment pollution and Non-Economical Slope Design to Application of convenience and conservative Geotechnical Properties. The production mechanism of Deep Weathered Zone is tend to Weathering Degree low and Strength increase by increase as the depth. it is realistic design that Division of Deep Weathered Zone and application Geotechnical Properties of Each Layer. In this Paper, Determined The Relationship of Strength Parameters between Standard Penetration Test(SPT), Borehole Shear Test(BST) and empirical recommendation also Applyed each strength parameters of divided zone to the Slope Stability Analysis by continuous Borehole Shear Test(BST) in Deep Weathered Zone during design of The 2nd Bridge Connection Road of Incheon International Airport.

  • A finite element analysis has been performed to investigate the effect of die clearance on shear planes in the fine blanking of a part of automobile safety belt. For the analysis S45$^{\circ}C$ is selected as an material which is used in manufacturing the part of automobile safety belt and Cockcroft-Latham fracture criterion is applied, Effect of die clearance on die-roll width die-roll depth burnish zone and fracture zone has been concentrately investigated in the finite element analysis. From the analytical results it has been found that die-roll width and depth of the shear plane increase with increasing die clearance. And the burnish zone has been concentrately investigated in the finite element analysis. From the analytical results it has been found that die-roll width and depth of the shear plane increase with increasing die clearance. and the burnish zone decreases with increasing die clearance but the variation of fracture zone is opposite to that of burnish zone because the increase in die clearance requires less fracture energy Theoretical predictions are compared with experimental results, There is a good agreement between theory and experiment

고강도 강봉을 이용한 철근 콘크리트 보의 보강에 관한 연구 (Rehabilitation of RC Beams with High Tension Steel Bars)

  • This paper presents the results of the experimental study on the performances of reinforced concrete beams rehabilitated by external unbonded high tension steel-bar. Design variables for the experiment in this study includes the position of anchorage zone of the high tension steel bar, the anchorage length of the reinforcing steel bar and the types of the shear strengthening measures. 5 specimens were tested with one point monotonically increased loads and structural performances such as strength capacities, ductility capacities and failure modes were analysed. It is found that the structural performance of the rehabilitated beams are strongly depended on the location of anchorage zone of the high tension steel-bars. In the case that anchorage zone is located near the critical shear zone, it is observed that the rehabilitated beam is failed in brittle failure mode and the additional shear strengthening is necessitated. But if anchorage zone is properly located or additional shear strengthening device is provided properly, it is also observed that the strength capacity of the rehabilitated beams could be increased more than $200\%$ by the proposed method.

  • The U-flanged truss hybrid beam is a new composite beam made by pouring concrete into the U-flanged truss beam. In this study, an experimental study was performed to verify the shear capacity of U-flanged truss hybrid beams with the newly developed end reinforcement details. For all specimens, the maximum shear strength was determined by shear failure of concrete in the loading point The detail reinforced with stirrups at the end zone can exhibit the greatest shear strength, but the method of reinforcing the end zone using vertical steel plates, which is a relatively easy method to manufacture, is considered to be the most effective detail in terms of shear strength and ductility. Also, in the case of U-flanged truss hybrid beams reinforced with vertical steel plates at the end zone, the shear strength can be evaluated on the safety side by using the Korea Design Standard formula.

  • A finite element analysis has been performed to investigate the effect of die clearance on shear planes in the fine blanking of a part of automobile safety belt. For the analysis, S45C is selected as an material, which is used in manufacturing the part of automobile safety belt, and Cockcroft-Latham fracture criterion is applied. Effect of die Clearance on die-roll width, die-roll depth, burnish zone, and fracture zone has been investigated in the finite element analysis by a rigid-plastic FEM code, DEFORM-2D. From the analysis, it has been found that die-roll depth and depth of the shear plane increase with increasing die clearance. And the burnish zone decreases with increasing die clearance, but the variation of fracture zone is opposite to that of burnish zone because the increase in die clearance requires less fracture energy. Theoretical predictions are compared with experimental results. There is a good agreement between theory and experiment.

신뢰성 기반 해석을 위한 국내 CFRD 사력존 재료의 전단파 속도 변동계수 결정 (Determination of the Coefficient of Variation of Shear Wave Velocity in Rock Filled Zone of CFRD (Concrete Faced Rock Filled Dam) for Reliability Based Analysis)

  • 지진과 같은 외부 하중하에서 CFRD 거동은 사력존의 전단파 속도(또는 전단 탄성계수)분포에 큰 영향을 받는다. 일반적으로 사력존의 전단파 속도 분포는 주상도의 형태로 표면파 시험과 같은 비파괴 시험에 의해 결정될 수 있다. 이때 한정된 수의 실험에서 결정된 전단파 속도 주상도에는 불확실성이 존재하며, 이러한 불확실성은 사력존에 존재하는 물성치 공간 변동성에 의해 발생하게 된다. 내진 해석과 같은 다양한 해석에서 물성치 변동성에 의해 발생할 수 있는 해석 결과의 불확실성은 신뢰성 기반 해석을 통해 고려될 수 있다. 신뢰성 기반해석에서는 재료 물성치의 변동계수 결정을 통해 이러한 불확실성을 해석에 반영한다. 본 연구에서는 국내 CFRD 사력존을 위한 전단파 속도변동계수를 결정하였다. 이를 위해 국내 CFRD 사력존에서 결정된 전단파 속도 주상도들과 하모닉 웨이브릿 해석에 기반한 기법을 사용하여 국내 CFRD 사력존에 존재 가능한 600개의 전단파 속도 주상도를 생성하고 이를 이용하여 사력존 전단파 속도 분포의 깊이별 변동계수를 결정하였다.

  • 이전 연구에서 제안된 변형률 기반 전단강도모델에 근거하여, 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 보의 전단강도를 예측하기 위한 해석모델을 제안하였다. 전단보강 되지 않은 콘크리트 보에서는 일반적으로 인장대보다 콘크리트 압축대가 주로 전단력에 저항한다. 콘크리트의 전단성능은 콘크리트의 재료 파괴기준을 통해 정의된다. 압축대의 전단성능은 단면에 작용하는 수직응력과의 상관관계를 고려하여, 경사 파괴면을 따라서 산정된다. 압축대의 수직응력 분포는 부재의 휨변형에 따라 변화하므로, 압축대 단면의 전단성능은 휨변형에 대한 함수이다. 보의 전단강도는 전단성능 곡선과 전단수요 곡선의 교점에서 결정된다. 제안된 해석모델을 기존 연구자들의 실험 연구 결과와 비교한 결과, 실험체의 전단강도를 정확하게 예측하였다.

평면전단층의 난류예혼합 화염의 구조에 관한 실험적 연구 (A study of turbulent premixed flame structure in a plane shear layer)

  • A turbulent premixed flames of layer formed between burned hot gas and unburned mixture were investigated by means of schlieren photograph with fluctuations of temperature and ion current. The combustion intensity between burned hot gas and shear layer was higher than the intensity between unburned mixture and shear layer. A wrinkled laminar flame and flamelet were appeared at downstream to exist and distributed reaction zone was at upstream as a result of analyzed probability density functions of temperature fluctuation. The initial combustion intensity of reaction zone of eddy between burned hot gas and shear layer was higher than that of final, flowing downstream, and vice versa between unburned mixture and shear layer.
