  • The performance of multihop cognitive radio networks (CRN) can be improved significantly by using multiple channels in spectrum underlay fashion. However, interference due to the sharing of common radio channel and congestion due to the contention among those flows that share the same links become an obstacle to meet this challenge. How to control efficiently congestion and allocate power optimally to obtain a high end-to-end throughput is a key objective in this work. We reexamined the Network Utility Maximum (NUM) problem with a new primary outage constraint and proposed a novel resource allocation strategy to solve it effectively and efficiently.

  • In this paper, Parallel operation of two DC-DC converters which we have ever done before need two CTs to do load current sharing. However, we have proposed a new method called ZCT method that can share load current with only a CT as doing parallel operation two converters with same converter capacity. To confirm parallel performance by a proposed DC-DC converter parallel operation method, we have done computer simulation and experiment. It is certain that we have showed to achieve two converters current sharing performance efficiently through simulation and experiment at result.

  • A single fiber cut can potentially influence a total of 1.6 Tbps of traffic and is surprisingly frequent and results in significant loss of traffic. The survivability as we as the resource utilization of the connection in optical networks is important. Existing protection mechanisms to rapidly recover the failures allocate the backup path just SRLG-disjointed with working path. Those did not consider the unbalanced resource share of backup paths. The backup paths can be centralized on the specific link so that the idle resource is not used. As a result, as those do not efficiently use the resource the whole resource utilization is not so good. So we propose the mechanism to enhance the resources utilization as settling down the unbalanced resource share. Our purpose is to improve the link utilization as distributing the maximum link load.

  • In the case that multiple services are in race condition for limited I/O resource, the services or processes with lower priority occasionally occupy most of limited I/O resource. And it decreases QoS and performance of important services and makes it difficult to efficiently use limited I/O resource. Although system administrator allocates I/O resource according to priority of process, he/she can't know or expect how much resource will be used by the specific process. Due to these reasons, it causes the problem that he/she can't guarantee the service QoS and performance stability. Therefore, in this paper, we propose service based disk I/O control supporting predictable I/O bandwidth to resolve upper problems. Proposed I/O control guarantees the service QoS and performance stability by supporting the service based predictable I/O bandwidth and it makes limited I/O resource to be efficiently used in respect of service.

  • Purpose - In the digital era, technology advancement enables goods and services to be produced more efficiently but also create economy risk in the global economy including Indonesia. Previous studies stated that the risk can be mitigated through export diversification. This study investigates strategy to expand the markets for existing products and explore the potential market. Research design, data, and methodology - The criteria was followed using a review and considerations combination through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to determine the priority product in trading house of Indonesia. This study implemented market share to explore those products' markets and compare it to other ASEAN countries. Results - The Indonesian potential products are T-shirts, singlets and other vests of textile materials, knitted or crocheted (excluding cotton); food preparations; medicaments consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic purposes; soap in the form of flakes, granules, powder, paste or in aqueous solution; and cocoa powder, not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter. The market analysis also showed that Indonesia still had not optimally accessed yet the largest market in the world for each product. Conclusions - The government should focus more on increasing the competitiveness of those products, particularly in those global marketplaces.

  • The purpose of this study is to building e-Science environment based on HVEM, remote control system of HVEM and the data portal, which is made by HVEM for efficiently management and sharing of data are needed. Furthermore, specialized metadata is required as well for the structuralization, storage, management search and share of the data created from the data portal. In this research paper, we propose the specialized metadata model, only suitable for HVEM, for more efficient management and share of data created by HVEM under the e-Science environment.

  • As smartphone users are over 20 million, companies, which offer cloud computing services, try to support various mobile devices. If so, users can use the same cloud computing service using mobile devices, as sharing document. When user share the work, there are problem in configuration management, data confidentiality and integrity. In this paper, we propose a method that cloud computing users share document efficiently, edit encrypted docuements, and manage configuration based on homomorphic encryption, which integrity is verifiable.

  • Recently most of hospitals progress toward setting up computer based medical information system, and there exists medical standard such as HL7 and DICOM to exchange efficiently between systems each other. However, Heterogeneous system built in each hospital gets a different data structure of medical information for patient and also makes it difficult to share information among hospitals. This paper proposes an integrated medical information system which changes existing diverse types of medical information to a unified structure and combines into one management model using XML from hospital specific medical information system. Thus, our proposed system makes it possible to get an effectively information share across hospitals without considering the internal system structure of other hospital. As a result, Hospitals provide a efficient and correct diagnosis, saving time and cost to patients.

  • In cloud robotics, the model to share information efficiently is still a research challenge. This paper presents an information sharing model for cloud-enabled robots to collaborate and share intelligence. To provide the efficient message dissemination, an adaptive group communication based on multi-agent is proposed. The proposed algorithm uses a weight function for the link nodes to determine the significant links. The performance evaluation showed that the proposed algorithm produced minimal message overhead and was faster to answer queries because of the significant links compared to traditional group communication methods.

  • Proportional Fair (PF) share policy has been adopted as a downlink scheduling scheme in CDMA2000 l×EV-DO standard. Although It offers optimal performance in aggregate throughput conditioned on equal time share among users, it cannot provide a bandwidth guarantee and a strict delay bound. which is essential requirements of real-time (RT) applications. In this study, we propose a new scheduling policy that provides quality-of-service (QoS) guarantees to a variety of traffic types demanding diverse service requirements. In our policy data traffic is categorized Into three classes, depending on sensitivity of Its performance to delay or throughput. And the primary components of our policy, namely, Proportional Fair (PF), Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ), and delay-based prioritized scheme are intelligently combined to satisfy QoS requirements of each traffic type. In our policy all the traffic categories run on the PF policy as a basis. However the level of emphasis on each of those ingredient policies is changed in an adaptive manner by taking into account the channel conditions and QoS requirements. Such flexibility of our proposed policy leads to offering QoS guarantees effectively and. at the same time, maximizing the throughput. Simulations are used to verify the performance of the proposed scheduling policy. Experimental results show that our proposal can provide guaranteed throughput and maximum delay bound more efficiently compared to other policies.
