WBI (Web-Based Instruction), a web-based tool for teaching the students at a long distance, makes possible to Interact between learners and instructors, provides a wide variety of learning materials, has an advantage of overcoming spatial constraints. In this paper, as a model of using the web for education, a web-based education-evaluation system has been designed and implemented. Web-based education-evaluation system has to be equipped with both of the online setting question mode and the upload setting question mode, the former makes questions on web and the latter uploads the setted questions on offline with settling a defeat of the existing systems on setting questions. And the system has to be equipped with the function of analyzing the questions that gives teacher several kinds of analysis information and makes possible to feedback to questions by adjusting the difficulty and revising the questions. In this paper, a system that reflects the above requirements has been designed and implemented with PHP script language and MySQL database system.

The efficiency and quality of the social reference sites are being challenged because a large quantity of the questions have not been answered or satisfied for quite a long time. Main goal of this study is to investigate important factors that affect the performance of question triage to relevant answerers in the context of social reference. To achieve the goal, expert finding techniques were used to construct an automated question triage approach to resolve this problem. Furthermore, important factors affecting triage decisions in digital reference were first examined, and extended them to the social reference setting by investigating important factors affecting the performance of automated question triage in the social reference setting. The study was conducted using question-answer pairs collected from Ask Metafilter. For the evaluation, logistic regression analyses were conducted to examine which factors would significantly affect the performance of predicting relevant answerers to questions. The results of the current study have important implications for research and practice in automated question triage for social reference. Furthermore, the results will offer insights into designing user-participatory digital reference systems.

This study aimed to investigate and compare the perception of personal protective equipments and instrument sterilization of students who are in attendance at colleges and universities and which have bedside training as a regular subject in their curriculum for third-year students. 'Completely True' is the highest response to the question about the importance of wearing gloves, mask and medical gown from all groups. 'Completely True' is the highest response to the question about the necessity for replacement of gloves from all groups. 'Moderate True' is the highest response to the question about the necessity for replacement of mask from the group without practical training and 'Completely True' is the highest response to the question about the importance of hair cleanliness from all groups regardless of practical training experience. For the question about the perception of instrument disinfection and sterilization, the group with inside and outside practical training showed the highest perception level. Consequently, the right education for prevention of infection by setting inclusive guidelines to enhance the level of perception and practice seems continuously necessary.

Most web-based learning is furnishing single side and consistent training resource to learner. Research was gone to apply item analysis method or to introduce web-based learning system using studying pattern. But, we need complicated algorithm or parameter setting etc, for apply these method. Therefore, in this research, we design and implement an item selection system in consideration of learner's incorrectness rate and problem frequency selection rate about question of item selection attribute. Also, as that embody business logic about item selection by EJB, efficient system development is available and we improved maintenance and reusability.

This study discusses "mechanisms" in a research facility, specifically focusing on the question of how we can understand what happens in the physical environment and the communication between researchers. This study attempts to address this question by examining two physical settings, before and after the move of one research-educational facility, the Institute of Paper Science and Technology. The objective of the study is to suggest conceptual models to comprehend the relationships between spatial layouts and communication. The study examines the underlying mechanism of how the levels of communication meet the layers of spatial structure. The paper has four parts. First, the preceding studies will be reviewed evoking some issues of communication and physical setting in research facilities. Second a conceptual typology in office plan will be developed providing a theoretical framework to review the spatial organization of the subject research facility, the Institute of Paper Science and Technology (IPST). Third, the spatial organization of the former building (before the move) and the present building (after the move) of IPST will be analyzed. Finally, conceptual models of the mechanism between the communication and the spatial organization will be drawn up.

The semantic and pragmatic effect of inerrogative illocutionary operator is analyzed in a dynamic setting in the framework of structured meaning representation with respect to the dialogue participants' shared common ground. I propose a framework for an optinal interpretation of focus phrases in terrogatives share the essential properties of focus in general, namely that they introduce alternatives to be taken advantage of by relevant focus-sensitive operators. The theory makes an interesting prediction on the distribution and interpretation of double questions in which one question gets modified by another. A further extention of the theory is spelled out to account for other non-assertional illocutionary operators like imperatives and their foci.

Many countries in Asia have been researching for linking and activation of Asia transverse railway and we are trying to link Trans-Korean railway and Transcontinental railway. However we are confronted with a difficult question that the railway system of each country is different from each other-gauge, track formation and signal system. These problems will obstruct prior occupation of market because of loss of time and cost for trans vehicles and transshipment. In this paper, we tried to setting up development direction of Korean variable gauge vehicles by examine international development direction of variable gauge vehicles.

The purpose of this study is to qualitatively examine the effects of graphics representation of trigonometry modelling concerning question generating and idea sharing. The experimental setting(Experiment Group) was one class (N=26) at a public high school. The modelling process was designed as a process-oriented conceptualization divided into three steps i.e., (1) game with idea sharing and question generating, (2) graphic representation, and (3) symbolization in the mathematical applied tasks related to trigonometry function. The result indicates that Graphic Representation with Game Activity increases the opportunity of question generating and idea sharing during experimental work. Also, the results show that the introduction of computer graphics enhances the teaching of mathematical quantity in highschool classrooms.

To learn statistics meaningfully, we must provide an opportunity to experience the process of solving statistical problems with actual data. In particular, exploration questions at the problem setting stage are important for students to successfully guide them from the beginning to the conclusion of the statistical problem solving process. Therefore, in this study, a mixed research method was carried out for the exploration questions of pre-service mathematics teachers during the problem setting stage. As a result, some pre-service mathematics teachers categorized incorrect statistical questions because they did not clearly define the meaning or variables of the questions in the process of categorizing them from possible questions. In addition, questions that cannot be solved statistically were categorized due to misconceptions about statistical knowledge. Second, only 50% of the pre-service mathematics teachers met all 6 conditions suitable for solving statistical problems, while there maining they met only a few conditions. Therefore, the conclusion of this study is as follows. First of all, they should be given the opportunity to experience all the statistical problem solving processes through teacher education because they do not have enough experience in statistical problem solving. Secondly, since the problem setting stage is very important in the statistical problem solving process, a series of subdivided processes are also required in the problem setting stage.
