  • It is difficult to find web contents for visual disabilities in spite of rapid growing internet users, infrastructures and advance of computer technology. For the case of usenet newsgroup concerning disabilities, hit rate is even less than E-mail because of lack of accessibility, educational support and economical expense for internet. This paper is addressed to voice usenet newsgroup service by using telephone or web browser for visual disabilities without additional S/W support such as 775, usenet program and installation program, suggests a design method and an implementation example for it. Main features of it are easiness of man machine interface, popularity of access device such as telephone or web browser and independency of particular news server by using NNTP. This system supports general MIME format, is implemented for usenet server of Korean Social Worker's Community and will be implemented for Gomduri InfoNet BBS of Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.

  • This research aims to analyze of the Effect of Army Start-up Support Program (hereinafter, ASSP) on the level of discharged or scheduled to be discharged soldier's satisfaction of their military service. In addition, this paper also seeks to elaborate on how those Army-supported programs, such as Start-up competitions, mentoring, camp, and school, can increase the level of military service satisfaction. By participating in those programs, service members can leverage their time in the military to make opportunity for their future career rather than consider it as a career break, increasing their military service satisfaction. Finally, on the basis of findings, this paper advocates for expanding Service Members startup Support Program of government agencies and municipalities and enhancing younger population's individual capabilities through ASSP. This research used ASSPs, such as Army Start-up competitions, mentoring, camp, and school, as independent variables. For controlled variables, this paper takes demographic elements such as status and career path of the participants. Our empirical analysis reveals that ASSP has a direct impact on the military service satisfaction, supported by the statistics from the hierarchical regression analysis. However, the research also suggests that individual' military service satisfaction from ASSP may differ from one another in accordance with the controlled variables such as status and career of the participants. This paper proves that ASSP can play a substantial role in enhancing service members' capabilities during their time in military and that Army fosters talent and connects itself to the nation and society. In addition, this research could contribute to increasing employment rate of and expanding Start-up support program of government agencies and municipalities for younger population by providing empirical results which advocates the latter's necessity.

  • This study aims to suggest the ways to reinforce academic library's research support services for professors and researchers in Korea. For this purpose, this study collected the development plans of academic libraries in Korea, and analysed the plans for supporting research activities, and also analysed each library's homepage. And this research classified the research support services of academic libraries into eight types for further analysis. The types are 'subject guide', 'academic information literacy', 'research analysis service', 'research consulting', 'research ethics education', 'thesis writing guide', 'bibliography management program', 'interlibrary loan·original text copy'. As a result, it is shown that the most libraries emphasized 'custom-tailored user education' and marked it on development plan. As subsequent plans, libraries provided the action plans of 'expansion of scholarly DB instruction on each subject', 'expansion of custom-tailored research support services', 'construction of research support service system' one after another. This study suggests 'activation of subject guide service', 'expansion of academic information literacy programs for supporting research', 'introduction of research performance analysis services', and 'support for establishment of research ethics' as ways to strengthen academic libraries' research support services.

The purpose of this study was to assess the community network in CVHCP and inform improvement in this network. Methods: We used Social Network Analysis(SNA) in one CVHCP at H city. Network links were generated by self-administered questionnaires by the 14 community resource centers who quantified their links to all other 25 agents on the list. Links were analyzed by a dichotomous scale for any experience of collaboration and a scored scale of 0 to 3 for level of collaboration using UCINET v6. Results: A list of 14 agents was generated, and local network was dominated by the Public Health Center and a local welfare center named Unlimited Care Center(UCC). According to centrality score, UCC was the most prominent agent, and Public Health Center was the most influential agent, being a link in the pathway flow between other agents for 9.5% of contribution. CVHCP scored lower rank of prominent with 30.8% of other agents reported referring to it. Conclusions: Social network analysis provides a useful network description for informing and evaluation service network improvement in maximizing its service for the CVHCP.

This study used a one group, pre-post test design. Methods: The subjects of this study were 79 paramedical students in D city. Data were collected before and after the simulation-based training using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. Results: After the simulation-based KALS education, knowledge (t=-6.88, p<.001) and confidence (t=-10.12, p<.001) increased among paramedical students. There was a positive correlation between confidence and critical thinking disposition (r=0.37, p=.001). Conclusion: A practical module for simulation-based education that can improve knowledge, confidence, and critical thinking disposition related to professional resuscitation is needed for use with paramedical students. • The purpose of this study is to develop the group program model for reinforcing family relations of single-mother families as one approach to family welfare service. As previous research findings about problems of single parent families were reviewed and the framework for the program development was identified, a 6 sessions group program was planned and applied to 9 single-mother families from June 2nd to July 7th. Program evaluation questionnaire, Scales measuring powerlessness and FACESIII for family relations, social support network tool, and group process recording were used for the evaluation of this program. The participants evaluated this program as very supportive, useful, and educational. The powerlessness was reduced in a statistically meaningful way before and after the program and the result was found to be maintained for 4 months in the follow-up session. The family relations according to FACES III were mostly balanced and didn't show some significant change after the termination of this program. The single mothers had little concrete supports from others, if any, had some from relatives. They rather had to give supports for the other family members and reciprocally gave and took emotional or informational supports with friends or neighbors. Based on these results, the 2 step model consisted of brief group program and long term support group was developed and the practical methods were suggested for the single-mother families with low income.
