  • This study is an attempt to present a model of the effective service area for branch library system planning in Dae Gu city as one of large urban public libraries in Korea. This model is built up through the analysis of the distribution of population and characteristics of community structure, based on the standard for the branch library system of a public library. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Under the circumstances of this country, each radius of the effective service area for branch libraries are as follows; $1{\sim}1.5km$. is adequate for the central library and major branches; 1km. for neighborhood branches; $0.5{\sim}0.8km$. for sub-branches. 2. Population within the radius of the effective service area of a given branch may range from 80,000 to 100,000 for major branches, from 50,000 to 60,000 for neighborhood branches, and from 20,000 to 30,000 for sub-branches. 3. The radius of the outer boundary for the effective service area may be between 4km. and 5km. from the heart of the city, and the inner boundary, 13.km. 4. Areas with the radius between 2km. and 3km. from the heart of the city may be selected as the most effective locations for branch libraries, and between 3km. and 4km. as the next priority. 5. The number of service areas may be 14, that is, 7 major branches(Sinam, Sinchun, Susung, Daemyung, Naedang, Dalsung, Rowon), 2 neighborhood branches (Pyungri, Nambu), and 5 sub-branches(Chimsan, Sangiuk, Bongduk, Hyomok, Dongchon)

  • The growth of radidly improving computer and information technology has a profound impact upon economical, social and cultural sectors. With the progress of information technology, information-telecommunication services are produced. This service is used in sending the information to order service-users, and search the need information. This case study considers information-telecommunication service as a consumer-innovation. Information telecommunication services are provided by firms involved in collection. HiTEL(High-Telecommunication) service represents a subset of this group in that the collection, processing and transmission is primarily in an electronic from. The purpose of this paper is concerned with examining the spatial diffusion process, the issues, and behavior to used in HiTEL service one of the information-telecommunication services in Kwangju. HiTEL service is one of the typical information-telecommunication services, and is begun in Seoul and Kwangju area from October 1991, and diffusing several cities and regions now. Diffusion process of HiTEL services in Kwangju showed the irregular pattern in major residential areas, particularly Daewei-dong, Dongun-dong present higher adoption rate than other area, and where functioned as a diffusion center, the social and economic characteristics of residential area have a critical effect on diffusion process. The major adoption areas are recently built residential area, apartment districts, and diffusion direction shows two directions according to development of residental area; one is to south, another is from northeast to southwest. In order to understand the use-behavior of HiTEL service, questionary survey was carried out. Most adopters have a concern to actual life, as HiTEL, information of telephonenumber, and Daewoo Dial-Van compared with other information service. But the actual use-frequency of service is very low. In use of Kwangju regional information service, the use-frequency of operator is very low because of the lack of advertisement, the lack of providing information, and the low-concerns for regional information. But most of adopters need the providing of various regional information as regional news, education, medical and cultural events, housing, city-transportation, and job market. Thus, in order to increase and diffuse the HiTEL service, the establishment of diffusion strategies and the scheme for solution of related issues are very important. The direct diffusion strategies are the diffusion of information-mind, establishment of diffusion and education center, providing of regional information. The scheme for solution of related issues revealed in operating process are reduction of rental fee, development of the related technology and services.

  • The purpose of this study is identify the status of the ward of public hospital for integrated nursing care service. Integrated nursing care service has been expanding on a national scale from 2016 but most of public hospitals are currently unable to operate due to nursing shortage. In this study 8 wards of public hospital have been chosen and analyzed. The measure of space program and area distribution(patient area percentage, staff area percentage, circulation area percentage), nurses's walking distance(distance from ns to patient room, distance from ns to core) were calculated by depthmapX and autocad programs. The result of this study is as follows. Nurse's walking distance is more than 24m so the efficiency of nurse's patient care is reduced. The percentage of patient area in double-corridor is higher and the patient feels more comfortable but the Nurse's walking distance is longer and the accessibility is lowered. NS should be located in the center of the ward and close to the core but some wards are not composed of proper space-separation and flow of human trrafic is overlapped. This study may serve as basic research for the architectural plan for future integrated nursing care ward.

The cost of each meal (lunch) was ranged from 1,300 won to 1,500 won and number of attendant at meal service were ranged from 50 to 200 persons. Meal time for lunch begins from 10:30 am to noon because greater portion of people (elderly) didn't take breakfast frequently. Most of the center adapted self-service system. Standard recipe was not developed and meal preparation was controlled under the experiences of volunteer’s. Recording system of, nutrition management, production control, storage and inventory control was not well adapted by most of the center. In order to measure the level of storage, sanitation etc., scorin system in survey was adapted in this study and result are as follow: The score of sanitation of kitchen was lower than dinning area and that of food storage was lowest score. It was suggested that not only financial but also systematical support on management by local government may be necessary to meet the goal of supply nutritionally balanced food at the center. The score given by the recipient on the satisfaction of meal service was rate as 4.8 at the 5-point maximum scale. Meeting friends and share social relationship was major reason (41.6% of the total) of visiting to the center. It is difficult to know the status of the fishing villages by the Rural service standard. In order to look for the actual conditions in rural fishing village it was investigated in the 100 Eochongye. The data used in the analysis is 577 questionnaires. Analysis showed that rural fishing areas were superior to general state of rural in the 8 items of rural service standard. Especially housing, transportation and health care sector in rural fishing area wes better than general state of rural. But Public safety and order is relatively poor. This is because Fishing village contains islands. Presenting to improve rural service standard based on the results of research. The items of rural service standard should be measured the actual residents' accessibility than opportunity of the public service, and after setting the rural service standard clearly related to the quality of life of residents in each sector. Accessibility aspects of the customer for the public services should be considered. • Based on theories and case analysis, the present research concerns the deduction of useful results about the basic stage for setting up a planar plan for children's play therapy facility, which cures children's psychological problems such as social maladaptation by means of play rather than language. The case analysis was sub-categorized into movement in each area, relative position among areas, and the size of each room. Detailed investigations were made concerning: First, Adjacent areas of each area. Second, Movement plan, which was sub-categorized into the movement of therapists and that of the children receiving therapy and guardians; area was sub-categorized into management area, therapy area and service area. Third, the size of each area measured was calculated to be expressed as the percentage of the total size. The result is as follows: (1) As for adjacent areas, in some cases management area and service area were adjacent, with isolated therapy area; whereas in the other cases, service area and information area, which is a part of management area, were placed along the doorway, with therapy area between them and therapist area, which is the other part of management area, behind them. (2) As for movement, the movement of therapists and that of children receiving therapy were same; whereas the movement of guardians was allowed only up to the middle part of the therapy facilities, and there was almost no entry of guardians into the play therapy rooms located in the inner parts. This is because they do not show the details of their therapy for children to guardians. (3) As for size, the area of independent facilities were similar; whereas institutional facilities in general had larger waiting room and unlike independent facilities, were of diverse size.
