A Study on the Web Based Monitoring System for the BIPV (BIPV에 적용된 웹기반 모니터링 시스템에 대한 연구)

  • Digital environment that is represented to internet is displacing business way of industry and business achievement way with the fast speed being giving great change on life whole, improve existence business process utilizing internet and Web connection technology, information superhighway to tradition industrialist manufacture and e-transformation's propulsion that wish to maximize productivity and administration efficiency is spread vigorously. In this paper, we wish to accomplish generation equipment's heighten stability and believability through remote monitoring and control of BIPV system. This paper describes the design of the monitoring system for sensing the monitoring data and indirect controlling of the BIPV system. Most of the conventional monitoring system depend on the special hardware and software. Basic design goal of monitoring system is to provide the convenience for the user and the portability for the system. In order for the system to fulfill its requirements, it was designed using Labview GUI facility based on the Windows 2000 environment of IBM PC compatible and Add-on card based on the TCP/IP protocol. Advantage of the monitoring system are a personnel expenses curtailment effect, free of the place restriction and unmanned system of the generation plants, etc.

  • This study is to find ways to self-produce energy even in buildings through the system of trees that grow by themselves focused on literatures and case studies. It is divided into the structure, circulation and reaction system of tree. 1) In the structural system, the tree is divided into the shoot and root system, and maintains rigidity with the cell membranes. The wind resistance caused by the trunk and crown can be applied to the seismic structure principle of building, and the role of platelike buttresses of lateral roots can be applied to the horizontal truss and suspension bridge. 2) In the circulation system, the transpiration action through the fine stomata of the leaves can be a very effective cooling means because a large amount of heat is released and this method can be directly introduced into the cooling of buildings. 3) In the responsive system, the response system according to environmental changes that can be read from the leaves and flowers of trees can be applied to the roof and exterior design of buildings through the use of new sensing technologies and materials.

  • In SCADA systems, an RTU is a device installed at a remote location that collects data, codes the data into a format that is transmittable and transmits the data back to a central station, or MTU. An RTU also collects information from the master device and implements processes that are directed by master device. RTUs are equipped with input channels for sensing or metering, output channels for control, indication or alarms and a communications port. In general, the data are transmitted via a wired communication infrastructure such as RS422 or RS485 between RTU and MTU. But, limited range of wired communication doesn't allow the system to cover remote areas over the limitation, and building a wired communication network is not easy in the circumstances. In this Paper, we design and implement a smart cost-effective Web-RTU that can communicate with MTU via Web. Web is of benefit to the Web-RTU, because it is not only free from the distance limitations, but also is built easily and cost-effectively wherever Internet resources are available. Additionally, Web can be easily applied to the SCADA system with the development of hardware and software for communications. The Web-RTU has a program memory, a data memory and a RAM inside, and uses Atmega128, low-cost 8 bit micro-processor with eight AI(Analog Input). It performs well enough to implement all existing roles of RTU.

  • The COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite), a multi-mission geo-stationary satellite, is being developed by KARl. The first mission of the COMS is the meteorological image and data gathering for weather forecast by using a five channel meteorological imager. The second mission is the oceanographic image and data gathering for marine environment monitoring around Korean Peninsula by using an eight channel Geostationary Ocean Color Imager(GOCI). The third mission is newly developed Ka-Band communication payload certification test in space by providing communication service in Korean Peninsula and Manjurian area. There were many low Earth orbit satellites for ocean monitoring. However, there has never been any geostationary satellite for ocean monitoring. The COMS is going to be the first satellite for ocean monitoring mission on the geo-stationary orbit. The meteorological image and data obtained by the COMS will be distributed to end users in Asia-Pacific area and it will contribute to the improved weather forecast.

A MEMS/NEMS sensor for human skin temperature measurement

  • Human state in human-machine systems highly affects the overall system performance, and should be detected and monitored. Physiological cues are essential indicators of human state and useful for the purpose of monitoring. The study presented in this paper was focused on developing a bio-inspired sensing system, i.e., Nano-Skin, to non-intrusively measure physiological cues on human-machine contact surfaces to detect human state. The paper is presented in three parts. The first part is to analyze the relationship between human state and physiological cues, and to introduce the conceptual design of Nano-Skin. Generally, heart rate, skin conductance, skin temperature, operating force, blood alcohol concentration, sweat rate, and electromyography are closely related with human state. They can be measured through human-machine contact surfaces using Nano-Skin. The second part is to discuss the technologies for skin temperature measurement. The third part is to introduce the design and manufacture of the Nano-Skin for skin temperature measurement. Experiments were performed to verify the performance of the Nano-Skin in temperature measurement. Overall, the study concludes that Nano-Skin is a promising product for measuring physiological cues on human-machine contact surfaces to detect human state.

  • 1999년과 2002년 각각 Terra와 Aqua센서를 탑재하여 발사된 MODIS 위성은 36개의 분광밴드, 250m, 500m, 1km에 이르는 다양한 공간해상력 및 주.야간 각 2회의 촬영을 통하여 전 세계에서 발생되고 있는 다양한 지구환경 및 변화를 연구하는데 사용되고 있다. NASA MODIS Science Team에서는 이를 위해 44개에 이르는 표준 product를 정의하여 알고리즘 처리 결과를 웹사이트를 통해 제공하고 있다. 또한 우리나라의 경우에도 한국항공우주연구원, 기상청, 국립수산과학원등에서 MODIS자료를 직수신하여 분석 및 활용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 MODIS 자료를 활용하여 한반도 국토모니터링을 위한 자료 획득 및 처리 시스템 설계에 대한 연구를 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 한반도 일대의 MODIS 자료를 직수신하고 있는 기관으로부터 KREONet을 이용하여 준 실시간으로 영상자료를 획득 및 저장하도록 설계하였다. 또한 자료의 분석 및 처리를 위한 관련된 MODIS 표준 product를 살펴보고 이를 분석처리 할 수 있는 시스템 구성에 대해 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we proceed with the design and development platform for the development of the optimized applications to take advantage of the sensing techniques of the mobile device, so that this can proactively respond to the user's needs, and can provide access to a range of services. Ubiquitous environment based smart campus is active rather than passive, university will be able to promote the true personal customizable services. Campus tours through augmented reality will support more active university life in conjunction with a variety of services to promote actively utilizing the QR Code(2-dimensional bar code). In addition, we designed to develop a mobile application that can provide such a view and post announcements such as integrated system, through interoperability with existing bachelor's administrative (legacy) system.

  • This paper examines the wearable technology in two aspects. First, it is the desire that permeates the clothes that smart technology is embroidered. Second, it is a reflection on the gaze that looks at the user wearing clothes. This article is a study on clothes that will be newly appeared with wearable technology. But this is not just a technical issue. Rather, it is a system design that takes human instinct into clothes. Therefore, this study encompasses social scientific boundaries. This article does not refer to data collected from wearables as simple sensing based data. Rather, wearable technology reveals human life activities and emotions. This paper is an attempt to combine or combine humanities and technology.
