The purpose of the present research was to study the self-regulation of the child during mother child interaction. That is. this study focused on how mothers regulated children's problem solving efforts before children began to function as independent agents capable of self-regulation. The emphasis was on the "regulation-by-others" that preceded "self-regulation". The subjects of this study were 30 mother-child dyads. The dyads were divided into 3 groups of 10 dyads each on the basis of the child's age (2, 3, and 4 years of age). The instrument used for this study was the "truck puzzle" devised by Wertsch, McNamee, Mclane and Budwig (1980). The problem solving task in this study required the dyad to make a puzzle in accordance with the model puzzle. The interaction of 30 mother-child dyads was observed and analyzed flH verbal and non-verbal behavior used by the mother to regulate the child's behavior. One-way ANOVA, Scheffe post hoc comparision and Spearman's rank-difference correlation were used for the statistical analysis of the data. The results revealed that there were significant age trends in regulation-by-others and self regulation in joint cognitive activity; that is, there were developmental transitions from regulation by-others to self-regulation in connection with crucial strategic behavior (looking at the model). Significant differences were found in mothers' interventions after children's gaze at the model in joint cognitive activity; that is, the mean proportion of mothers' intervention for the 2-year-old group was the highest and that of the 4-year-old group was the lowest. There were no significant age-related differences in mothers' use of referential perspectives in joint cognitive activity. Children's regulation- by-others increased and children's self-regulation decreased in proportion to mothers' use of referential perspectives.

In most self-incompatible plant species, recognition of self-pollen is controlled by a single locus, termed the S-locus. The self-incompatibility (SI) system in Brassica is controlled sporophytically by multiple alleles at a single locus, designated as S, and involves cell-cell communication between male and female. Two highly polymorphic S locus genes, SLG (S locus glycoprotein) and SRK (S receptor kinase), have been identified, both of which are expressed predominantly in the stigmatic papillar cell. Gain-of-function experiments have demonstrated that SRK solely determines S haplotype-specificity of the stigma, while SLG enhances the recognition reaction of SI. The sequence analysis of the S locus genomic region of B. campestris (syn. rapa) has led to the identification of an anther-specific gene, designated as SP11/SCR, which is the male S determinant. Molecular analysis has demonstrated that the dominance relationships between S alleles in the stigma were determined by SRK itself, but not by the relative expression level. In contrast, the expression of SP11/SCR from the recessive S allele was specifically suppressed in the S heterozygote, suggesting that the dominance relationships in pollen were determined by the expression level of SP11/SCR. Furthermore, recent studies on recessive allele-specific DNA methylation of Brassica self-incompatibility alleles demonstrate that DNA methylation patterns in plants can vary temporally and spatially in each generation. In this review, we firstly present overview of self incompatibility system in Brassica and then describe dominance relationships in Brassica self- incompatibility regulated by allele-specific DNA methylation.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify correlation of personality preference, and achievement goal orientation, academic self-efficacy, test anxiety in selecting college students who majored in dental hygiene. This study also provides a basic data regarding personality for education of dental hygiene students. Methods : 192 students of S college who majored in dental hygiene were asked to answer the MBTI GS form, academic self-efficacy scale, achievement goal orientation scale and test anxiety scale during the month of May, 2009. The total of 160 copies were analyzed. MANOVA, independent-sample t-test were conducted. Results : 1. Looking at distribution of personality preference type of the students, extroversion type (63.1%) was more than introversion type(36.9%), sensing type(87.5%) was more than intuition type(12.5%), thinking type(54.4%) was more than feeling type(45.6%), judging type(59.4%) was more than perceiving type (40.6%) 2. In subscale of achievement goal orientation, performance approach level was higher in extroversion type than in introversion type. Performance avoidance level was lower in extroversion type than in introversion type. However, other preference personality type didn't show any significant difference in subscale of achievement goal orientation. 3. Academic self-efficacy was higher in extroversion type and thinking type than in introversion type and feeling type. There wasn't any significant difference between judging type and perceiving type, sensing type and intuition type. 4. In subscale of academic self-efficacy, confidence was higher in extroversion type than in introversion type. Task difficulty preference and self-regulated efficacy were higher in thinking type than in feeling type. 5. There wasn't any significant difference between personality preference type and test anxiety. Conclusions : Professor should find out difference between students through using information of preference personality and develop a teaching strategy that can encourage strength and make up weakness of each students.
In this study, we examined the effects of University adaptation on career adaptation through self-leadership and learning commitment, and identified the regulatory effects of demographic characteristics (sex, grade, grade level, and willingness to work). To this end, we analyzed the data for 289 college students. The results of the study are as follows. First, adaptation to University life has a significant impact on learning commitment and self-leadership. However, adaptation to University life has an indirect effect on learning commitment and self-leadership rather than directly affecting career adaptation. Second, demographic characteristics have a regulatory effect on the path through which University adaptation affects career adaptation through self-leadership and learning commitment. The factors that were regulated were age, grade, and willingness to work. Therefore, in order to adapt to university life and adapt to career, we developed a program to improve self-leadership and learning commitment, and suggested that customized guidance is needed considering the differences in personal characteristics such as gender and academic background in university life and career counseling.

The blow-down oxidizer feed system with self-pressurizing $N_2O$ has more advantages than the regulated system. However, it is difficult to predict the exhaust flow rate because there exist two phases in the $N_2O$ tank - liquid phase and gas phase, and the properties of $N_2O$ in storage tank are varied continuously during blow-down. In this paper, a method that can analyse simply the blow-down oxidizer feed system is studied. The properties of saturated $N_2O$ are found from the NIST data base, and mass flow through the orifice is modeled as NHNE. Cold flow test with hybrid rocket combustor is performed for the comparison where the results should found from the good agreement.

Stem cells are unique cell populations with the ability to undergo both self-renewal and differentiation, although a wide variety of adult stem cells as well as embryonic stem cells have been identified and stem cell plasticity has recently been reported. To identify genes implicated in the control of the stem cell state as well as the characteristics of each stem cell line, we analyzed the expression profiles of genes in human embryonic, hematopoietic ($CD34^+$ and $CD133^+$), and mesenchymal stem cells using cDNA microarrays, and identified genes that were differentially expressed in specific stem cell populations. In particular we were able to identify potential hESC signature-like genes that encode transcription factors (TFAP2C and MYCN), an RNA binding protein (IMP-3), and a functionally uncharacterized protein (MAGEA4). The overlapping sets of 22 up-regulated and 141 down-regulated genes identified in this study of three human stem cell types may also provide insight into the developmental mechanisms common to all human stem cells. Furthermore, our comprehensive analyses of gene expression profiles in various adult stem cells may help to identify the genetic pathways involved in self-renewal as well as in multi-lineage specific differentiation.
The purpose of this study was to find out how Blended e-Learning affected the teaching and learning of engineering mathematics for engineering students. It has researched the application condition of Blended e-Learning and the students' attitude in the offline classes of students. The subject were 42 students of Junior in the Department of Mechanic Engineering in M-University participated in the study. The lecturer taught the class for the students by fact-to-face teaching at the offline. It was recorded all processes during the class, and the video was loaded at the Learning Management System(LMS). The students studied online by themselves. This study investigated the attitude of students at the offline and the Utilization of Online Data by learners through the mixed class for one semester. The results were as follows. First, Blended e-Learning applied engineering mathematics affected positively for the self-regulated and individualized learning to the students. Second, Blended e-Learning has shown a positive impact on the teaching and learning of engineering mathematics. Finally, it also had a positive effect on the class satisfaction level of students.
Although cancer/testis antigen DDX53 confers anti-cancer drug-resistance, the effect of DDX53 on cancer stem cell-like properties and autophagy remains unknown. MDA-MB-231 ($CD133^+$) cells showed higher expression of DDX53, SOX-2, NANOG and MDR1 than MDA-MB-231 ($CD133^-$). DDX53 increased in vitro self-renewal activity of MCF-7 while decreasing expression of DDX53 by siRNA lowered in vitro self-renewal activity of MDA-MB-231. DDX53 showed an interaction with EGFR and binding to the promoter sequences of EGFR. DDX53 induced resistance to anti-cancer drugs in MCF-7 cells while decreased expression of DDX53 by siRNA increased the sensitivity of MDA-MB-231 to anti-cancer drugs. Negative regulators of DDX53, such as miR-200b and miR-217, increased the sensitivity of MDA-MB-231 to anti-cancer drugs. MDA-MB-231 showed higher expression of autophagy marker proteins such as ATG-5, $pBeclin1^{Ser15}$ and LC-3I/II compared with MCF-7. DDX53 regulated the expression of marker proteins of autophagy in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. miR-200b and miR-217 negatively regulated the expression of autophagy marker proteins. Chromatin immunoprecipitation assays showed the direct regulation of ATG-5. The decreased expression of ATG-5 by siRNA increased the sensitivity to anti-cancer drugs in MDA-MB-231 cells. In conclusion, DDX53 promotes stem cell-like properties, autophagy, and confers resistance to anti-cancer drugs in breast cancer cells.
This research will target the Dental Hygienics students to identify the level and type of the $2{\times}2$ achievement target orientation, and will study how this achievement target orientation is related to the Self-Regulated Learning, as well as the effect on the each sub elements of the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). Among the $2{\times}2$ achievement target orientation of all the female university students, the skillful approach was found to be highest. In case of the adjustment of the motivation following grade, intrinsic value of the 1st grader was higher than the intrinsic value of the 2nd and 3rd graders. As for the behavior adjustment, the 3rd grader's time and studying adjustment were found to be higher. Mean while, pursuit of the cooperation was found to be high compared to the time and studying adjustment of the1st and 2nd graders. Second, intrinsic value, overt goal orientation, and studying environment adjustment among the SRL's subelements, manifested significant correlation with all the sub elements of the $2{\times}2$ achievement target orientation. As for the elements that affected cognition adjustment, grade and skillful approach were found to exert significant effect on the performance adjustment. As for the element that affects behavior adjustment, grade and skillful approach exerted significant effect on the sub elements of the behavior adjustment. Analysis on the effect of the achievement target orientation and SRL implies that the direction of the students' learning goal can be modified and that they can learn effectively by using the SRL appropriately. When the two elements are factored in carefully, the key findings could serve as a base data that can motivate the students, inducing effective learning process.

This study examined the physical self-concept and self-efficacy of undergraduates. Using the convenience sampling method of non-provability sampling, a total of 377 undergraduates from North Kyongsang Province G city were selected. Of the 377 completed questionnairescollected, a total of 354 surveys with structural equation modeling were analyzed using theSPSS 22.0 statistics program. The self-esteem, endurance, health, and flexibility factors have positive effects on improvingthe self-control efficacy factor of self-efficacy in the order of physical self-concept factors. On the other hand,the higher university students perceive that among the physical self-concepts, the physical activity factor had more negative effects on the self-regulated efficacy. The self-esteem, health, and muscle strength have positive effects on improvingthe confidence factor of self-efficacy in the order of physical self-concept factors. The more perceptive endurance than the appearance, sports competence, body fat, health, self-esteem, flexibility, muscle strength of physical self-concept, and the more influence on self-efficacy. Overall, the higher the perception of physical activity factors among the physical self-concept factors, the more negative effects on the task difficult preference.
