The purpose of the study were two fokls: to investigate causes of wife abuse through both husbands and wives as the research subject and through ecological perspective as a theoretical framework. Data were collected using self-reporting questionnaires distributed to 400 couples in Seoul and Taegu. 280 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The major findings of the study were summarized in the following. First, the percentage of samples who reported one or more instances of acts in each scale was 84.3%(236 couples). They reported having been a vicitm of abuse by their partners at least one instance in the preceding 12 months. Secondly, the hierarchical and stepwise regression yielded the result that wife abuse behavior by husbands was influenced by husband's microsytem(e.g.job stress, marital satisfaction, education level and occupation) and organism variables(e.g. husband's perceptions about the violence level of mass media, childhood observation of parental violence, childhood experience of the battering). These variables accounted for 38% of variance of wife abuse behavior among Korean husbands.

Ordered mesoporous materials with a hydrothermally-stable, protozeolitic framework were prepared by exploring the direct conversion of inorganic species based on co-surfactant templating systems. To confer hydrothermal stability on the mesoporous aterials, the organic-inorganic hybrids were heat-treated in strongly basic media. Co-surfactant templating systems of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide [$C_{16}H_{13}(CH_{3})_{3}$NBr, CTAB] with 1,3,5-trim­ethylbenzene (TMB) or a nonionic block copolymer of poly(ethylene oxide )-b-poly(propylene oxide )-b-poly(ethyl­ene oxide) ($EO_{20}PO_{70}EO_{20}$) were employed to improve the hydrothermal stability of the organic-inorganic self-assembly during the solid rearrangement process of the inorganic species. The mesoscopic ordering of the pore structure and geometry was identified by X-ray diffraction, small angle neutron scattering and electron microscopy.

This study examined the dieting behaviors and diet-influencing factors among college students in the Youngnam region. The data were collected by a self-administered questionnaires during May, 2007. One hundred-ninety samples were ultimately analyzed by SPSS Windows. The results were as follows. First, when comparing calculated BMI with perception of individual body image, many respondents regarded themselves as overweight although they were within normal BMI. Second, over four-fifths of the respondents indicated they were concerned with diet, and many respondents answered that they needed education and information on dieting. In terms of diet knowledge, the mean for correct answers was 77.9%. Mass media were very important sources for acquiring diet information, and the most popular dieting method was fasting therapy. The results of regression analyses to determine the factors affecting several dieting practices showed that grade, monthly allowances, diet awareness, diet knowledge, perception of individual body image, and BMI were significant.

레이저 증폭기를 능동영역(Ruby Rod)에서의 Fabry-Perot 공진기의 방법으로 취급했고 5층, 즉 공기일반사판-Ruby-반사판-공기의 구조로 고찰했다. 일차원 스캘라파동방정식으로 Maxwell 전자방정식을 이용하여 입사계가 연속이라는 가정하에 경계치문제로 봤으며 모든 폭사계는 각경계면에 수직으로 입사한다고 생각했다. 모든 방정식은 Laplace 변환으로 과도현상론적으로 취급했으며 증폭기로서의 안정영역과 자려발진기로서의 불안정영역을 고찰했다. 또한 과도항과 관련된 레이저 증폭기 설계상의 문제도 생각했다.

CoCrPt alloy films are attracting wide attention for applications to high-density magnetic recording media and hard magnetic layer in spin valve structure due to their high coercivity and strong magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Diblock copolymer templates are one of the most promising candidates for nanoscale patterning otherwise inaccessible by lithographic procedures [1]. In this study, we have investigated magnetic properties of Co$\sub$68/Cr$\sub$18/Pt$\sub$14/ nanodot arrays made by self-assembling polystyrene-block-methyl methacrylate ((PS-b-PMMA), (Mn = 82.5 Kg/mol, with a 1.12 polydispersity)) diblock copolymer. Scent display is used mainly to augment immersion, reality and emotion, besides provide more tension and suggestion. However, this paper pay attention to effect of smells as ambient media, and propose a notification service using scents without sound and vibration when a user has new mail, test message and phone call. And we designed a scent service platform and API function for easy application of scent notification service. We demonstrated feasibility by experiment using smart phone and self-producted scent device.

Fractal coding is image compression techniques using one of image characteristics self-transformability. In fractal image coding, the encoding process is to select the domain block similar to a range block. The reconstructed image quality of fractal image coding depends on similitude between a range block and the selected domain block. Domain block similar to a range blocks. In fact, the error of the reconstructed image adds up the generated error in encoding process and the generated error in decoding process. But current domain block estimating function considered only the encoding error. We propose a domain block estimating function to consider not only the encoding error but also the decoding error. By computer simulation, it was verified to obtain the high quality reconstructed image.

Development assistance plays an important role in contributing to the development process of Cambodia. The top bilateral donors, China, Japan, and Korea provide ODA to Cambodia in different characteristics and from different perspectives. This study tries to pull out some implications for Cambodia as recipient and for donors in order to achieve the development of Cambodia's economy-effectively by using the ODA. As a viewpoint, ODA structure emphasizes the intention of donors, either for their self-interest and benefit or for achieving MDGs. China's ODA to Cambodia seems to distort the ODA allocation by other donors with unconditional loans or loans with conditionality focusing only on infrastructure. Cambodia benefits from the better infrastructure, but it has to pay the price set by China, even for concessional loans. The driving interests of Japan and Korea are more influenced by their national policy goals and the expected perceptions of their voters. The aid projects should at least catch the attention of national media or win obvious and unbiased support from the suffering people in the recipient countries.

In this paper, I applied grounded theory in exploring how Twitter became the battlefield for China's public diplomacy campaign. China's new move to global social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, has been a controversial strategy in public diplomacy. This study analyzes Chinese Foreign Spokesperson Zhao Lijian's Twitter posts and comments. It models China's recent diplomatic move to Twitter as a "war of words" model, with features including "leadership," "polarization," and "aggression," while exerting possible effects as "resistance," "hatred," and "sarcasm" to the global community. Our findings show that by failing to gage public opinion and promote the country's positive image, China's current digital diplomacy strategy reflected by Zhao Lijian's tweets has instead constructed a polarized political public sphere, contradictory to the country's promoted "shared human destiny." The "war of words" model extends our understanding of China's new digital diplomacy move as a hybrid of state propaganda and self-performance. Such a strategy could spread hate speech and accelerate political polarization in cyberspace, despite improvements to China's homogenous network building on Twitter.

Appearance management is evolving as a means of self-expression or as a way of expressing one's individuality. In particular, hairstyle is the most important part of a person's appearance and accounts for 70% of the appearance. Improving people's appearance by changing their hairstyle gives them confidence. Among them, the fringe hair style plays an important role in determining the first impression and reflects the trend. Fringe is shorter and simpler than general hair treatment, but even these small treatments have the effect of changing the impression, so women are trying to transform into a fringe hair style. A previous study was conducted on four lines classified: round, heart, square, and triangular. In this study, we added them to define 5 hairlines and created them by combining each hairline. that have been produced 5 fringe hair styles that suit the shape of the face. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as educational materials for hair line and fringe hair styles in the field, contributing to the beauty industry.
