This paper examines the role of distance learning self-efficacy, belief in one's capabilities of using a system in the accomplishment of web-based distance learning, in predicting user intention to use and performance of distance learning system. It used self-efficacy theory and technology acceptance model(TAM) to build a model that predicts relationships between antecedents to students' distance learning self-efficacy assessments and their behavioral and attitudinal consequences. The model was tested using LISREL analysis on the sample of 250 students who have worked with the Distance Learning System. The results indicated partial support for the conceptual model. In accordance with TAM, perceived usefulness had strong direct effects on intention to use and performance, while perceived ease of use had both direct and indirect effects on intention to use, but not performance. Distance learning self-efficacy had only direct effect on perceived ease of use to use. Computer experience was found to have a strong positive effect on distance learning self-efficacy, and computer anxiety had a negative effect on distance learning self-efficacy. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.
The structural equation modeling techniques were used to assess a model of chemistry learning strategy based on self-handicapping tendency and goal orientation. Data were collected during chemistry lessons in two high schools. In the optimal model II-2 of this research, the self-handicapping tendency was negatively related to the use of self-efficacy. The learning goal was positively related to the use of self-efficacy and to learning strategy. The performance- approach goal was positively related to self-efficacy but presented an negative relationship to learning strategy. The performance-avoidance goal was negatively related to self-efficacy but presented an positive relationship to learning strategy. Besides affecting the learning strategy through self-efficacy indirectly, the learning goal, performance-approach goal, and performance-avoidance goal affected learning strategy directly. The self-handicapping tendency and performance- avoidance goal were a negative predictors of self-efficacy, but the learning goal and performance-approach goal were a positive predictors. And the self-efficacy affected learning strategy positively. The implications of these findings for learning strategy in chemistry are discussed. Although the paths model of relationships of the motivations to learn and learning strategies in chemistry education as mentioned above is established, the more systematic search for the higher self-efficacy and learning strategy in different courses and curriculums may be needed.
Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the effects of a suction care self video-based debriefing-assisted learning in the fundamentals of nursing practice for nursing students on clinical performance, self-efficacy and problem-solving process. Methods: A nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design study was used and included 97 junior nursing students at P University as participants, 48 of whom were assigned to the experimental group, and 49 of whom were assigned to the control group. The outcome measurements were clinical performance for suction care, self-efficacy, and the problem-solving process. Results: The scores of clinical performance were 23.75 in the experimental group who used the materials and 21.55 in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (p<.000). Self-efficacy was 4.30 in the experimental group and 4.18 in the control group, which was a statistically significant difference (p=.000), and the pre-to-post differences of self-efficacy was statistically significant as well (p<.001). However, there were no significant differences in the pre-to-post differences of the problem-solving process (p<.802). Conclusions: Self video-based debriefing-assisted learning may be more effective in enhancing clinical performance and self-efficacy than that of conventional practice. Whether self-efficacy will contribute to enhanced learning motivation for nursing students needs further examination.
e-Learning can be seen as not only one of Internet-based information technologies which can provide education services but also one of teaching-learning methods which can implement self-directed learning. Thus, for evaluation of e-Learning effectiveness, both information-technology-based learning environment and learners' abilities in self-learning and computer-using should be considered simultaneously. This study suggests a research model for evaluating the effectiveness of e-Learning, which is theoretically based on information systems success model, constructivism and self-efficacy. The model is composed of three parts: effectiveness, learning environment, and learners' self-efficacy. Effectiveness is a part of dependent variables: satisfaction and academic performance. Learning environment and learners' self-efficacy can be considered as two sets of explanation variables for effectiveness. The former consists of learning management system, learning contents, and interactions that are provided bye-Learning and the latter means learners' self-regulated efficacy and computer self-efficacy. We show validity of the model empirically by surveying the college students who have experienced e-Learning. In result, most of all hypotheses suggested in this model are accepted in low significant level.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the variables that learners should consider for learning persistence when applying blended learning to mathematics class which is a basic curriculum of engineering college. For this purpose, this study compared the basic mathematics class with the blended learning and the class without it. In addition, this study analyzed the influence of the learning outcomes of the blended learning on the willingness to learning persistence by using the self-efficacy and self-regulated learning variables that can predict it. As a result, it was found that the blended learning applied mathematics class of K university which is the subject of analysis in this study has higher self - efficacy, self - regulated learning, and learning persistence intention than general classroom. Finally, the results of this study are meaningful to provide the points to be considered for improving the learning performance when applying the blended learning to the subject class in the future.

As the environment changes become more complex, learners should establish the learning strategy for the 4th industrial era and the post-COVID-19, also change. This paper focuses on the importance of self-regulated learning. Through this learning strategy, learners will form more positive attitudes and reduce negative attitudes toward the 4th industrial era. This attitude change will lead to an improvement in learners' career decision-making efficacy as a sense of future efficacy. As a result of the study, it was demonstrated that self-regulated learning improves career decision-making efficacy through the mediating effect of positive attitude formation toward the fourth industry. This article emphasizes the necessity of self-regulated learning as a valid learning strategy for the new era. The effect of self-regulated learning is explained as an improvement in attitude toward the future and a sense of efficacy. Through this learning strategy, learners' future performance could be improved.

The economic growth has made our lives more prosperous than the past, and the development of science fueled the era of 100-year lifespan. It is now distinct to us that preparation for life after retirement is not a choice but an imperative. In the meantime, outplacement programs have driven many to challenge and start a new chapter in life. This paper measures the characteristics of outplacement programs based on the self-determination factors; empirically examines how those characteristics influence on learning performance through self-efficacy and psychological well-being; concludes by proposing effective and productive ways for young adults and senior employees who are in search for new jobs. To test the research hypothesis, a survey was conducted among job searchers who have been previously provided with outplacement programs. The results are as follows: First, self-perceived autonomy has significant influences on self-efficacy and psychological well-being. Second, self-perceived competency has significant influences on self-efficacy and psychological well-being. Third, perceived relationship has no significant influence on self-efficacy and psychological well-being. Fourth, self-efficacy showed significant influences on psychological well-being, while not showing on learning performance. Fifth, psychological well-being has no significant influence on learning performance. This paper finds its academic significance in its theory-based approach to outplacement service program; research variables and examination are not based on researcher's arbitrary choice. This paper is also practically significant in that it discovered that outplacement service alleviates psychological stress caused by job relocation, and guarantees stable life after retirement.

This study analyzed the effects of learning participation motivation and collaborative self-efficacy on knowledge sharing behavior in an online learning environment. Collaborative learning in the online learning environment took the initiative in team formation, learning topic selection, learning planning and execution, and reflection. Collaborative learning was operated as an extracurricular program, and a survey was conducted targeting students who finally completed all learning activities. The results of the study are as follows. First, goal-oriented motivation and self-Efficacy for group work, showed significant influence on knowledge sharing behavior. Second, activity-oriented motivation did not show a statistically significant effect relationship. Interpreting the analysis results, it can be judged that the higher the goal-oriented motivation and self-Efficacy for group work of students who performed collaborative learning in an online learning environment, the higher the willingness to share knowledge, skills, and information they know. This study explored the outcomes of collaborative learning conducted in an online learning environment. It is meaningful that the learner's learning participation motivation was identified and the effect of self-Efficacy for group work, which can be expressed in collaborative learning situations, on knowledge sharing behavior, which is a necessary behavior for group performance, is significant.
Over the fast few years, web-based e-Learning have made remarkable progress. According to advance of e-Learning, the evaluation of e-Learning effectiveness and success model become more important. First of all, system quality and information quality of e-Learning system had positive relationship with perceived usefulness. Second, information quality was related positively to user satisfaction. Third, perceived usefulness was positively connected with user satisfaction. Fourth, user satisfaction and self-efficacy had relation to learning performance.
The aim of this study was to examine the effects of remedial instruction on self-efficacy improvement in elementary school students with low self-efficacy, which may have been formed through negative experience with learning such as poor performance and poor grades. Nine 6th grade students with low self-efficacy were selected for the present study. A remedial class was set up and instruction was given once a week for 14 weeks. The purpose of the remedial class was to give the students a positive experience with English learning and have students reflect on their achievement. The contents and class activities were adjusted to the subjects' English abilities and also closely related to those of the regular classes so that students could have more confidence during regular English classes. The data were collected from a test of self-efficacy in English learning, achievement tests given before and after the experiment, achievement tests after each lesson, a general self-efficacy test, a basic questionnaire, interviews, journals, and students' self-evaluation. The results showed that the remedial instruction was very successful in providing students with a sense of achievement and improving students' self-efficacy in English learning. However, this study failed to find significant improvement in general self-efficacy tests and achievement tests given before and after the experiments. A longer period of remedial instruction may have been necessary to obtain more concrete results from the variety of data collected.
