Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify self-leadership and attitude to patient falls and fall prevention behavior in nurses. Methods: The participants were 178 nurses from two general hospitals in Seoul. Data were collected from March 20 to May 10, 2012 using structured questionnaires which included a Self-leadership scale, Fall attitude scale, and Fall prevention scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and Hierarchial multiple regression with the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: The mean score for nurses' self-leadership was 3.48 (5 point scale). The average reported fall attitude was 3.59 (5 point scale) and fall prevention behavior was 3.26 (4 point scale). Self-leadership had a 18% explanatory power in fall attitude and a 5% explanatory power in fall prevention behavior. The factors which influenced fall prevention behavior were nurses' fall attitude (${\beta}$=.21, p=.009), fall prevention education (${\beta}$=.20, p=.007) and self-leadership (${\beta}$=.16, p=.047). All of the factors together had a 13.1% explanatory power. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that provision of regularly fall prevention education to nurses is required and should include a program to activate their positive attitude and self-leadership in order to improve fall prevention behavior in nurses.
Purpose: This descriptive research study investigated the effects of temperament and character, emotional intelligence on self-leadership of clinical nurses. Methods: This study recruited clinical nurses at a tertiary general hospital located in S city through convenience sampling. A survey was conducted from April 10 to May 5, 2020, using offline questionnaires. A total of 343 answers were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a three-step hierarchical regression analysis with the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: Factors influencing self-leadership of clinical nurses at a tertiary general hospital in S city were persistent among temperament (β=.331, p<.001), personal maturity (β=.408, p<.001), and total emotional intelligence (β=1.062, p<.001). These factors contributed 58% of self-leadership (F=29.20, p<.001). Conclusion: It was confirmed that persistent among temperament and personal maturity among character, emotional intelligence were factors affecting self-leadership of clinical nurses. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and provide programs to control the factors affecting self-leadership of clinical nurses to increase self-leadership.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate nursing students' learning agility and confirm the mediating effect of self-leadership in the relationship between achievement motivation and learning agility. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey design. The subjects were third- and fourth-year nursing students attending three universities in one region. Data were collected from November 28, 2019, to May 25, 2020, and a total of 202 data were collected using the scale of achievement motivation, self-leadership, and learning agility. Data analysis included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS 25.0 statistics 25.0 software. The mediating effect of self-leadership was analyzed through regression analysis and bootstrapping using process macro ver. 3.4.1. Results: Self-leadership's partial mediating effect was confirmed in achievement motivation and learning agility. Achievement motivation was found to affect directly learning agility, with an indirect effect through self-leadership. Conclusion: The study results showed that nursing students could increase their learning agility through self-leadership improvement. Future research should focus on identifying the factors influencing nursing students' learning agility and develop and apply programs to improve learning agility.
This study attempted to investigate the effects of self-leadership on organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention among beauty salon employees and analyze the moderating effects of job satisfaction. For this purpose, data were collected for 330 people working in beauty salons and analyzed using SPSS v. 21.0. According to multiple regression analysis, self-leadership revealed a statistically significant positive effect on the OCB and urnover intention Therefore, it was shown that self-leadership is a critical factor. To determine if self-leadership having an influence on the OCB and turnover intention is moderated by job satisfaction, variables were applied to the following models, and hierarchical regression was performed: self-leadershipto model I, job satisfaction to model II, self-leadership and job satisfaction to model III. The results found a statistically significant positive influence in all three models. Therefore, this shows that job satisfaction has a moderating effect on self-leadership, OCB and turnover intention. Self-development education as well as technical training should be strengthened to enhance self-leadership, which leads beauty salon employees' thoughts and behavior in the right direction.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of nurses' job performance with job embeddedness, self-leadership and social support and the role of self-leadership and social support in the relation between job embeddedness and job performance among general hospital nurses. Methods: The participants for this study were 244 nurses from 3 general hospitals in Seoul and Gyunggi Province. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff\acute{e}$ test, Pearson correlation and Hierarchical Multiple Regression. Results: Job performance showed positive correlations with job embeddedness (r=.56, p<.001), self-leadership(r=.68, p<.001), organizational support (r=.30, p<.001), supervisors' support (r=.31, p<.001) and colleagues' support (r=.31, p<.001). Job embeddedness and self-leadership had significant influence on nurses' job performance. However self-leadership and social support did not show moderating effects of job embeddedness on nurses' job performance. Conclusion: These findings indicate that job embeddednes and self-leadership are important factors to enhance nurses' job performance. Therefore, promoting activities for job embeddedness and self-leadership might be a way to increase nurses' job performance. As there was no moderating effects of self-leadership and social support on job embeddedness and job performance, further studies are necessary to refine these findings in different environments.
The purpose of this study was to apprehend the relationship among self-resilience, critical thinking disposition and academic self-efficacy of nursing student and confirm the influential factors to self-leadership. This study was a descriptive investigation research that conducted data collection through structural survey targeting sophomores from nursing college. As the result, the most influential factor to self-leadership of nursing student was GPA (Grade point average) from last semester followed by critical thinking, necessity of self-leadership program and age, and these variables explained 28.4% of self-leadership of nursing students. Based on the results of this study, we recognize the necessity of self-leadership of nursing students and expect to develop self-leadership program considering general characteristics.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the influencing factors of self-leadership, academic self-efficacy and instructor-student interaction on self-directed learning in nursing college students. Methods: This study used a descriptive survey design. Participants were 190 nursing college students at three universities in Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do. Data were collected from May 10 to June 12, 2016 using self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with SPSS 19.0. Results: The results showed that the self-leadership of the nursing students was 3.49, academic self-efficacy, 3.17, instructor-student interaction, 3.71, and self-directed learning, 3.43, respectively. Self-directed learning of nursing college students was positively associated with self-leadership(r=.65, p<.001), academic self-efficacy(r=.61, p<.001) and instructor-student interaction (r=.36, p<.001). 001). Self-leadership, academic self - efficacy, major satisfaction, GPA 4.0 or above explained 65% of the total variance in self-directed learning among nursing college students. Conclusions: The findings of this study indicated that nursing interventions for increasing self-leadership, academic self-efficacy and major satisfaction should be developed to improve self-directed learning of nursing students. Additional studies for changes in the overall teaching and learning environment to promote the self-directed learning environment in nursing education should be conducted.

The purpose of this study is to verify the research model and identify the causal relationship among leader's super leadership, self-leadership, psychological empowerment, sport commitment and performance perceived by Taekwondo athletes. The subjects of the study were middle and high school Taekwondo athletes registered in the Korea Taekwondo Association in 2020 and 2021, and data from 454 people were used as final effective samples through convenience sampling. The collected data used the SPSS 23.0 version and the Amos 21.0 version to verify the hypothesis. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. First, we discovered that the leader's super leadership had a positive impact on the athlete's self-leadership, psychological empowerment, and sport commitment. Second, we found that the athlete's self-leadership had a positive effect on psychological empowerment, sport commitment, and performance. Third, we found that athlete's psychological empowerment had a positive effect on sport commitment and performance. Fourth, we found that the athlete's sport commitment had a negative effect on performance. Therefore, this study has reminded us about importance of psychological empowerment and sport commitment for explaining the relationship between leadership type and performance perceived by Taekwondo athletes, and might contribute to the theoretical discussion of variables related to athletes' performance.
