This study examined 1) retail buyer's reasons for buying imported apparel and brand license business and 2) types of information sources which they searched for the businesses 3) types of product/vendor selective criteria Seventy subjects of one hundred samples responded. They were designers merchandisers of apparel companies and buyers of department stores. The results of empirical studies were summarized as follows: 1) Buyers & merchandisers recognized domestic market responses as the most important information source for selecting foreign brand. The critical problem of buying and brand license was deficiency of professionals in fashion retail 2) Buyers & merchandisers primarily recognized brand identity and exclusive style of the product when selecting puoduct or vendor. 3) Buyers & merchandisers primarily recognized return policy and good delivery of the vendor when selecting vendor 4). There were relationships among incormation sources selective criteria of product/vendor and buyer's characteristics.

The goal of the textbooks of 2009 revised curriculum is to make customized lectures possible considering learning characteristics and understanding level of students. However, it is not easy to find a research result on sensed difficulty of the mathematics textbook, which is able to provide valuable information on the development of the diverse level textbooks. This research suggested criteria in analysing sensed difficulties of field teachers on the textbooks, and analysed sensory difficulty on the selective tracks textbooks based on 2007 revised mathematics curriculum using the criteria. The results of the analysis on 59 mathematics selective tracks textbooks show that all have average sensed difficulty. The criteria and research results are expected to provide valuable information in future mathematics textbook development.

We studied franchisees’ answers to the questionnaires to know their selective motives and criteria, their types and the reliability of a franchisor in the food-service industry. Then we showed the basic data about the selective criteria of a sound franchisor. The result of this study was as follows. First, we need a specialist and a department to present a financially sound franchisor. Second, we must determine the criteria of franchise fee, royalty and the other items on payment for the franchisor. Third, the alternative plan to trust the franchisor was needed for a large-scale franchisee.

In this paper, we investigate design criteria and the performance of the space-frequency bit-interleaved coded modulation (SF-BICM) systems in frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels. To determine the key parameters that affect the performance of SF-BICM, we derive the pairwise error probability (PEP) in terms of the determinant of the matrix corresponding to any two codewords. We prove that the bit-interleavers do the function of distributing the nonzero bits uniformly such that two or more nonzero bits are seldom distributed into the symbols that are transmitted in the same frequency bin. This implies that the bit-interleavers transform an SF-BICM system into an equivalent 1-antenna system. Based on this, we present design criteria of SFBICM systems that maximizes the diversity order and the coding gain. Then, we analyze the performance of SF-BICM for the case of 2-transmit antennas and 2-multipaths by deriving a frame error rate (FER) bound. The derived bound is accurate and requires only the distance spectrum of the constituent codes of SF-BICM. Numerical results reveal that the bound is tight enough to estimate the performance of SF-BICM very accurately.

The purpose of this study was to segment the female college apparel market based on fashion lifestyle and to develop a profile of each segment regard to fashion information sources, clothing benefits sought, and store selection criteria. The data were collected through questionnaire by random sample of 522 female college students. By cluster analysis of lifestyle factors, three groups were identified. (fashion leaders, fashion followers and fashion aversion), Three groups were then compared through multivariate analysis of variance on 11 fashion sources, 10 clothing benefits sought and 90 store selective criteria. Significant difference were found among the three groups on all these variables which indicate that fashion lifestyle can be a useful base for segmenting female apparel market and these groups are unique in terms of fashion information sources, clothing benefits sought and store selective criterias.

본 논문에서는 신경회로망보다 우수한 성능을 보이는 학습 이론인 SVM을 기반으로, 인간의 인지 과학에서 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있는 선택적 주의집중을 응용한 중첩 패턴 인식 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 선택적 주의집중 모델은 SVM의 입력단에 주의집중층을 추가하여 SVM의 입력을 직접 변화시키는 학습을 하며 선택적 필터의 기능을 수행한다. 주의집중의 핵심은 학습을 멈추는 적절한 시점을 찾는 것과 그 시점에서 결과를 판단하는 주의집중 척도를 정의하는 것이다. 지지벡터는 주변에 존재하는 패턴들을 대표하는 표본이므로 입력 패턴이 초기상태일 때 주의집중을 하고자 하는 클래스의 가장 가까운 지지벡터를 기준으로 그 지지벡터와의 거리가 최소가 되었을 때 주의집중을 멈추는 것이 적절하다. 일반적인 주의집중을 적용하면 주의집중 척도를 정의하기가 난해해지기 때문에 변형된 입력이 원래 입력의 범위를 넘지 않는다는 제약조건을 추가하여 사용할 수 있는 정보의 폭을 넓히고 새로운 척도를 정의하였다. 이때 사용한 정보는 변형된 입력과 원래 입력의 유클리드 거리, SVM의 출력, 초기상태에 가장 가까웠던 히든뉴런의 출력값이다. 인식 실험을 위해 USPS 숫자 데이터를 사용하여 45개의 조합으로 중첩시켰으며, 주의집중을 적용시켰을 때 단일 SVM보다 인식 성능이 월등히 우수함을 확인하였고, 또한 제한된 주의집중을 사용하였을 때 일반적 주의집중을 이용하는 것 보다 성능이 더 뛰어났음을 확인하였다.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the adult attachment style characteristics of mothers with selective mutism children and their relations to selective mutism. Methods :The subjects of this study were 15 mothers with selective mutism children who were diagnosed by DSM-IV criteria at psychiatry outpatient department of Kyungpook National University Hospital from March 1998 to February 2005. The controls of this study were 30 mothers with normal children who are in the second grade of elementary school in Daegu. We assessed the adult attachment style characteristics of these mothers by Revised Adult Attachment Scale, and Reciprocal Attachment Questionnaire-Korean version, self-report attachment style questionnaire. Results : 1) On the self-report attachment style questionnaire, it revealed that mothers with selective mutism children had both of the secure and the dismissing-avoidant types predominantly and the tendency that mothers with selective mutism children more commonly had dismissing-avoidant type than controls did. 2) On the comparison of attachment quality of mothers, although only the anxiety subscale difference was significant, it revealed that mothers with selective mutism children had generally lower score pattern in all of closeness, dependence and anxiety subscale than controls did. It was consistent with the consequence of self-report attachment style questionnaire in this study. Conclusion : This study showed that the distribution of adult attachment style of mothers with selective mutism children was different from those of controls. The dismissing-avoidant attachment style was predominant in mothers with selective mutism children. we suppose the possibility that the dismissing-avoidant attachment style of mothers with selective mutism children has relation with selective mutism.

Purpose: This paper compares the effectiveness of typical selective assembly criteria and suggests the most promising one. Based on the result of a computer simulation, the key issues of selective assembly are examined and the best criterion is recommended from the effectiveness perspective. Methods: Using JAVA program, production of ten thousand units for each pair of components are simulated for selective assembly of the two types. And the number of mismatching and the fraction nonconforming for each criterion are determined. Results: The best match criterion appeared to be most promising from the perspectives of both mismatching and nonconforming problems. Its effectiveness appears to be also good even when the precision of one component is different from that of the other. Conclusion: For designing an optimal method for selective assembly, the best match criterion is recommendable as the base criterion.
