This study examined the changes, development and characteristics of the cartographic materials field in LCC as a suggestion of an ideal classification scheme which is necessary for classily the cartographic materials in libraries. The main purpose this study is to suggest how to apply the examination results to the related subject field in KDC focused on the integration and subdivision of area table and developing subject subdivision table.

In this study, collaboration of teacher librarians and subject teachers in school libraries has been investigated(tried, attempted, suggested) in order to improve the information literacy. The effective teaching-learning can be conducted by extending student's roles, which are essential elements in school education. Above all, the model. focused on direct exchange of knowledges in communications between teachers and students has been suggested with consideration of content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and technological knowledge.

Internet is a global network and it produces many terminologies involved in Electronic Commerce. Among many terms people very much talked about Cyber Shopping Mall. Under situation customers and sellers paid attention to Cyber Shopping Mall which is beyond time and space. This study deals with two subjects to enlarge the competitive power of Mall & Malls which is integration of multiple Cyber Shopping Mall. First subject is constructing the Automated Mall Wizard which is efficiently and effectively building Cyber Shopping Mall Site. And second subject is to differentiate from other shopping malls. Automated Mall Wizard is composed of three stages which are decomposed into several descriptive steps. And descriptive steps takes form of independent module, so it is considered to maximize Cyber Shopping Mall differentiation. Additional functions are making the goods category, related goods to be simultaneously ordered, price comparison with other sites within the Mall & Malls, best seller goods, store advertisement, substitutive goods, and mileage policy. As a result of that, we can respect SuperMall is better than other Mall & Mall as to diversity and flexibility of constructed Cyber Shopping Mall.

We consider a system whose inherent life follows an Erlang distribution, which is subject to two heterogeneous random shocks. Minor shocks arrive according to a renewal process and each causes the system to fail independently with a certain probability. A major shock whose interarrival times follow an Erlang distribution causes the system to fail with probability one. The Laplace transform of the distribution of the time to system failure is derived in a functional form of the Laplace transform of the interarrival time distribution of minor shocks. An algorithm is given for the computation of the moments of the time to system failure.

Structures in seismic regions are designed to dissipate seismic energy input through inelastic deformations. Structural or component failure occurs when the hysteretic energy demand for a structure or component subject to an earthquake ground motion (EQGM) exceeds its hysteretic energy dissipation capacity. This paper presents a study on identifying the hysteretic energy demand and distribution throughout the height of regular steel moment resisting frames (SMRFs) subject to severe EQGMs. For this purpose, non-linear dynamic time history (NDTH) analyses were carried out on regular low-, medium-, and high-rise steel SMRFs. An ensemble of ninety EQGMs recorded on different soil types was used in the study. The results show that the hysteretic energy demand decreases from the bottom stories to the upper stories and for high-rise structures, most of the hysteretic energy is dissipated by the bottom stories. The decrease is quite significant, especially, for medium- and high-rise structures.

Purpose: Individuals' view of multiculturalism can be varied. The purpose of this study was to survey subjective view of and attitude toward multiculturalism in first-year undergraduate nursing students who had completed a multicultural subject. Methods: The Q methodology, which integrates quantitative and qualitative methods, was used. Forty one Q-statements selected from each of the 40 participants were classified into the shape of normal distribution using a nine-point scale. The collected data were analyzed using the QUANL program. Results: Two types of view of multiculturalism were identified: 'domestic type-constructive view' and 'global type-advanced view.' Conclusion: The findings show how nursing students think about multiculturalism and provide a basis for further research and education.

Recently the status of statistics is in a critical condition in the curriculum of the universities. It is largely due to the decrease of applicants for the admission to the universities and growing tendency to prefer the departments that are advantageous for getting a job after graduation. Another reason for the present crisis of statistics is that scholars of statistics and related scholarly associations fail to prepare measures for the activation of statistics. In order to cope with these general problems, this study surveyed the courses which are related with or support the subject of statistics in the department, other than statistics, of two universities in the Yeongnam province. Based on the survey this study aims at suggesting some ways of activation of statistics.

The purpose of this study is to identify the main subjects of the reading programs which are provided by the public libraries during september, "the reading month," in 7 metropolitan cities, Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, Incheon, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Ulsan. To achieve this purpose, the data are collected from 622 programs of the sixty-two libraries. The content analysis method was used to analyze data and find results from it. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Reading and culture are identified as the main subjects of the programs. 2. The preferred subjects among the public libraries in 7 metropolitan cities are identified as different.

This paper examines few approaches to education for medical librarianship - those of North America, the People's Republic of China, Japan and Korea and the various opinions in the previous studies of the .education fer subject specialist librarians. and it suggests the educational system for medical librarianship practicable in Korea, including formal degree programs, continuing education and medical librarian certificate program.
